"A Literary Lunch For bookish types, Kafé Oslo is the place to go. This restaurant serves down-to-earth, fuss-free food – everything from appetizers to a full three-course meal. As a literary café, Kafé Oslo offers literary events where authors come to cook their favourite foods, or literary lunches for children. A good spot for the whole family, especially if you’re a fan of the printed word."

Had a wonderful lunch here. Mushroom soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. There is also a wide variety of beers from which to choose. The service was choppy as they were serving inside and outside, but the servers were charming.

Overpriced, slow service but cozy atmosphere at least the spots where the light is dimmer, rest of the place is too bright.

Had a great coffee and sweet snacks. The atmosphere is nice and cosy too.

Lovely location across from the park, nice to be surrounded by books while having your coffee. I had a superbly simple, fresh, shrimp salad which I really enjoyed.

Nice cafe, typical Norwegian selection of baked goods and coffee. Also beer on tap and wine. I like the high ceilings and tall windows.

Really nice Cappuccino and Croissant on saturday mornings. They're tired on evenings though so focus on the morning pastries. Haven't tried the food but the ambience is nice and I agree about the toilets, clean and nice.

Great place to read a book and have some lunch and drinks. Both the restaurant and the reading lounge are amazing. Having a bookstore inside of a restaurant is a real bonus.

Kafe Oslo, and the Litterature House is a great place to chill with a beer outside in summer, or a coffee indoors the rest of the year. They serve great beer, my favourite is the Kondrad Stout.
