"Heritage Suites Hotel How often does a king’s car pick you up at the airport? Arrival at Heritage Suites begins with a vintage 1962 or 1968 Mercedes—one of which used to belong to the late King Norodom Sihanouk—before you're promptly whisked off to a historic cream-colored building of soaring arches, mahogany columns, and wrought-iron balconies. With just 26 rooms (most of which are suites), the boutique hideaway is often so serene as to feel more like a royal’s private compound than a hotel—if a royal’s compound had its own high-end tour agency and one of the trendiest jazz bars in town. Rooms are spacious and surprisingly modern in style—all suites have a lush private garden, and top-tier rooms also have a private hot tub—and welcome drinks and canapés help guests immediately acclimate to the villa’s languid and decadent atmosphere. The sprawling saltwater pool and its umbrella-shaded sunbeds beckon at all hours (including for romantic candlelit dining), while the intimate spa offers yet another way to unwind in between temple excursions. Best of all, the hotel gives back: It works closely with the Sala Baï Hotel and Restaurant School, training and hiring students from this school that works with underprivileged Cambodians, especially women, and offers guests opportunities to participate in activities with the school."

Heritage Suites Hotel, Siem Reap, Cambodia - Explore & Book

"Everything here is a treat. The hotel blends French colonial cool out front with contemporary design in back. In the main building, a magnificent colonial wood-and-steel construction is dominated by a brushed chrome bar and sparkling mirrors, plus there's a galleried restaurant with the sweetest staff in town. Through a long classical gallery (housing the Heritage Rooms) you reach a fabulous shaded pool, with a bar and padded loungers flanking the water. Beyond that lie the suites - and you really want to try for one of these, as they were among the best rooms we saw in town. They come complete with private walled gardens where you can shower in the shade of palm trees, and free-standing stone baths in the middle of each room. This is the perfect bolthole for couples after action and adventure paired with ultimate relaxation. The hotel has its own tour company offering tailor-made adventure trips: try quad-biking through the forest into Angkor’s secret temples, or overnighting in their jungle camp, or a private yacht cruise on Tonle Sap, Asia’s largest freshwater lake. Highs The suites are seriously spoiling and romantic: fabulous beds, steam rooms and power showers, private gardens and massive terrazzo tubsThe pool terrace, with its smart loungers, lush gardens and staff on hand to fix you a drinkThis is a very private place: if you’re looking to be left in peace, you will beSet in a pleasant and peaceful area, and just a 10-minute drive or 30-minute cycle ride from Angkor WatThe loveliest staff in the world Lows You’re not that far from the centre of town, but you’re not really close enough to walk and the immediate residential area is somewhat ordinaryOn the temple side the chanting starts before dawn, goes on for a long time, and the abbot has a very peculiar voiceThe redecoration of the rooms - all made by local craftsmen - is easy on the eye but a bit blandDespite all the luxury the towels are curiously mean in conceptionIt’s keenly priced" - Tom Bell

"Being the closest city to Angkor Wat, the world’s largest religious monument, has turned the Cambodian provincial capital of Siem Reap into a boomtown of sorts. These days, the city is bursting at the seams with accommodations that range from backpacker hostels to magnificent five-star resorts. Somewhere in the middle (though a bit closer to the latter) there’s also the Heritage Suites, which abstains from the kind of over-the-top opulence that defines many of its neighbors in favor of a quiet, secluded take on Indochine luxury." - Tablet Hotels

Absolutely amazing stay! 🌴✨ I stayed in a private bungalow with my own pool and it was pure bliss from start to finish. Everything here is created with so much love and attention to detail: from the gentle natural aromas in each uniquely named room to the incredibly kind and helpful staff. The location is perfect not in the busy city center, but very convenient for beautiful walks along the river and easy access to all main attractions. The food is delicious, the design is stunning, everything is spotless and beautifully arranged. You truly feel like you’re in a hidden paradise surrounded by peace, beauty, and care. I’m so grateful I found this place, and I know for sure: when I return to Cambodia, I’ll stay only here.

This hotel is a great option to stay in Siam Reap. From the moment I checked in and throughout my stay the staff was kind, helpful, and engaging. I want to quickly shout out Phyrun, the employee that checked me in. He was great! He explained about the hotel, the amenities, and he escorted me to my room. He answered any questions I had too.|The hotel itself is nice. I liked the decor, the architecture, and the ambiance. No complaints about my room either. Bed was comfy. They have a happy hour at the bar by the pool (buy 1 get 1 on beers, wine, and cocktails) and the bartenders there were great. One guy made me some delicious drinks. Another bartender a different night brought my 2 beers to my room for me and included some spicy peanuts with it! It was a nice touch. All in all great experience. The restaurant/bar area in the lobby is really nice!

On arrival we knew we arrived just over an hour before check in and were prepared to wait. The reception offered us an upgrade that was available straight away for a good price. I asked to see the 2 rooms and the differences. The room that we were offered to upgrade to had a private small pool outside and due to it being our honeymoon we decided to choose this option-they even offered a complimentary foot massage at their spa if we upgraded. After 10 or so minutes he came back and said oh no its not available and we could only get a garden room. So same size but no pool for $10 usd cheaper. I thought this was rude for offering and showing us then providing a room that we had not seen even further away and right next to the cleaning facilities. My husband attempted to use the sauna in the room at around 7pm. This didnt work. The maintenance men took over 40mins to try get it to work while we sat and waited. The next night after being out all day we decided to sit in the restaurant and have a few cocktails. One of them was a type of gin sour which we make at home often. This one had pomegranate so it was pink colour. The lady that served us at the bar was standing and laughing at my husband for ordering a pink drink. He is not insecure about his masculinity and has no issue with the colour "pink". However this woman quite literally made our stay here unbearable. Every time we would walk in to the restaurant to go to our room (yes you had to walk from reception across the restaurant then to outside past pool area to the room) she would yell out sometimes infront of other customers staying at the hotel "another pink lady cocktail for you sir" and laugh like she was hilarious. We were grateful she was on an afternoon/evening shift so atleast we were able to eat some breakfast without ridicule. When the hotel found out it was our honeymoon one of the staff said he would make a surprise for us and im not sure what he meant by that but we didnt see anything honeymoon related surprises during our stay. However we did receive small souvenirs on the end of our bed after housekeeping ? Anyway overall we felt like it didnt deserve 4 stars and unfortunately not the best ending to our trip and we were actually looking forward to going home.
