"New Southern Food and Creative Cocktails Saison, located in Richmond's Jackson Ward neighborhood, is a real treat. The menus are pasted inside hollowed out library books, and the drinks are served in eclectic antique glassware. On the food side of things, the bone marrow appetizer is worth trying and the classic chicken and waffles is all that it promises to be. As for cocktails, the menu is several pages long, and I can guarantee there is something (and probably quite a few things) for everybody. I suggest making a reservation, because this popular Richmond restaurant fills up fast. For the more spontaneous eaters, the kitchen serves its full menu until 11 p.m., and if you can wait that late, open tables are more likely."

A great spot for a delicious triple birthday dinner! We ordered a variety of small plates -- foie gras, melon salad, beef tartare and (not pictured) corn salad and burrata -- and the smash burger and everything was stellar. The service was great...the cocktails were fabulous...even the bathroom was a fun experience with assorted temporary tattoos to mark the occasion. I look forward to visiting again soon and trying more of the menu!

Amazing food, great service, loud as hell. Really flavorful dishes, not overtly Latino in the usual way but perfectly inspired. Cauliflower and skate wing small plates and pork and hanger steak large plates were all hits. Otherwise an excellent date spot but it was deafeningly loud and the tables are a bit crowded. I would definitely still return.

Don't sleep on getting here soon. The setting is very quaint and you get a very personal touch. From the flowers to the water to the plate setting this place is a must stop. Started off with Asparagus salad with a cashew butter that was amazingly fresh and light. Steak tartar with b&b pickles and fresh Billy bread that was melt in your mouth. Finished off with Pork chop and Radicchio gratin with a mustard sauce that was deliciously cooked and very tasty. Has a very nice selection of spirits to choose from. This place will get packed and will have a difficult time getting a table so get in early and enjoy. Hopefully the food doesn't change too much but it will be a great food experience either way.

Outstanding experience. Every bite of food was phenomenal. Vibe is cozy and warm. Our service was superb - prompt and attentive. Just a lovely dinner I couldn’t recommend highly enough. I had the oxtail appetizer, schnitzel entree, and ganache dessert. They also have a great selection of beers and cocktails.

This restaurant is a gem in Richmond! Delicious food, awesome non-alcoholic drinks, and friendly service. The restaurant offers a vibe at the crossroads of Latin American and Asian hospitality and warmth. Servers were really kind, knowledgeable and attentive. 5-Star service!!! Food was really good! Best pork chop of my life. Delicious cocktails. Open during Covid and felt safe with precautions in place. Highly recommend!
