Willie Smith's Apple Shed

Whatever you do, don’t leave this place without eating the apple pie! Chunky slice, insane amount of apples. Not too spiced not too cinnamony just right. And a moment for the ice cream. So good! The Willie Smith experience was a really good deal, toastie was delicious and the apple ciders were so crisp, clean and delicious. The pork belly was alright but everything else was just so much better. Book. The place was completely booked out when we went and we were lucky we booked in advance.

Visiting from Qld. My locals sister & hubby took us here for lunch. The decore was lovely, showing the shed’s history was great. The food was amazing, and wonderful that they cater for gluten free. The size of the desert serve 😱 Staff, especially Miranda were friendly, without being intrusive and very good at their job. Definitely coming back before we leave 👏

What a fantastic spot. My friends and I took a trip down to Huonville and stopped in for a late lunch. Grabbed ourselves a drink and waited for our food. After quite some time the waiter came over and apologised for the wait. Not that we were bothered at all. The atmosphere was great for the two of us to enjoy a drink and chat. The ham and cheese toasty was “slay” Will definitely be taking another visit in the near future.

What a lovely place for Apple addicted person like me🍎✨ The dining area was wide and the foods here were amazing!! ( especially the Apple pie 🥧) It’s a special experience of Apple cider tasting!! And the glass was so cute haha. There’s a big window case for different apples. Also so many history pieces showing around the shop. It’s definitely a good place for visiting🍎🍏

Great place! The apple cider is super tasty and the food is amazing — big portions and full of flavor. The apple pie with ice cream is a must-try! Such a nice spot to relax and enjoy good food and drinks.

Fantastic place to stop for lunch. We enjoyed an apple cider flight, delicious ham, cheese and caramelised onion toastie and incredible apple pie. All produce is proudly grown in Tasmania. The warm spiced cider and traditional cider were delicious. Highly recommend a stop here for a great experience.

Great atmosphere and very friendly service. Ordered the Reuben, it was good but very stingy on the meat. The apple pie was delicious, it exceeded my expectations. I recommend coming here for Cider and Dessert, other better places for food.

I called in with a friend for a light Sunday lunch. We chose the tasted sandwiches. They were served a with a beautiful salad of apple and greens. The sandwiches were filled with quality ham and cheese and sprinkled with Parmesan. It was the most delicious and satisfying sandwich I had in a while. The staff were really friendly, helpful and happy

Good location. New owners? Food choices pretty standard. Cider a plenty good outside dining. Pretty typical sort of tourist and local place

Enjoyed a quick visit to Willie Smith's today I had a paddle four four different ciders and it since it was a rainy day I had their potato leek soup which was a daily special. I talked with another couple while I was there and they had a beet salad and a baked potato and apple pie, all of the food coming out of the kitchen going to other tables looked absolutely delicious And they have a little apple history area with hundreds of varieties of apples which are grown in the area. There is a huge area to set outside which looks wonderful on a sunny day. Willie Smith's is set in the middle of beautiful Huon Valley It's a track they are from Hobart I had a driver but totally beautiful part of the world.

You got to stop here, hipster vibe, great food, service excellent, and lovely selection of bevies! You won't regret it, the only draw back is so damn good, you may have to wait for a table, don't worry, they will give you a buzzer while you wait in the beer garden and sample a tester or two.....

We took a random drive and ended up at this place where we shared a flight of cider, explored the secret apple garden, visited the apple museum and enjoyed the scenery looking at the mountains sipping on cider on the patio. I think the outdoor area would be a very nice place to hold a larger event!

What an absolute gem! We stumbled upon this place because the sushi place we wanted to visit was closed. It's located in a remote area off the main road and easy to spot. It was an accident that we found this destination but it was one of the highlights of my trip. Such sweet people working here, and the food is amazingly affordable compared to the rest of Tassie and Australia. The lamb was well cooked, potatoes were soooooooooo perfect - fluffy on the inside, crispy and flavorful with a wonderful red sauce on the side. The apple cider samplers and beers were light, crisp, and refreshing. I cannot rave enough about this place. When Tassie becomes more inhabited or more toured, I bet you this place will blow up! For now though, it's got a decent amount of people visiting, but it's not jam packed. Great place for lounging as well, and the decor is so fun to just observe. COME HERE!!!!!!

What a great spot. We shared a cider tasting paddle and enjoyed apple pie and ice cream, and the toffee apple pudding with cream. So delicious!
