I have visited on two occasions. Service was so-so during both visits, but the food was really good.
I was actually mind blown by how incredible the truffle champagne risotto was and still think about it now months after. I can understand and appreciate why this meal was so expensive, however, it was 100% worth it and I encourage all other diners to order this special if available during next year’s truffle season. Please bring it back, City Wine Shop!
I could also argue this is some of the best beef tartare in Melbourne. It’s no nonsense, European style dining - even if it costs a pretty penny.
