"Heads up in Hoi An Markets throughout the world yield beautiful travel photos of meats and produce arrayed in dazzling patterns of eye-popping color. The market in Hoi An, Vietnam , is no different--in parts. But this fish monger was hard at work cutting up the day's catch, reminding us that this is really all about putting fresh food on the plate."

How to Spend Dry Season in Da Nang and Hoi An

Hội An Market is absolutely stunning, especially with all the colorful lanterns lit up at night. The food selection is incredible—make sure to come hungry! Just a heads-up: it gets extremely crowded during sunset and into the evening. I highly recommend arriving a bit earlier in the afternoon to beat the biggest rush and enjoy the atmosphere before it gets too packed.

Most romantic place in vietnam. You can visit this place in evening and stay till night. Place is lit with lanterns and lights in evening. Very beautiful and people are usually polite. You can spend around 100k to 150k for boat ride. Take the hand driven boat not the motor boat to get more authentic experience It has lot of restaurants to enjoy and chill. Dont buy anything as they are super expensive

A must place if you r visiting Hoi An. Great variety of suits, dresses , footwear lanterns and lots of souvenirs. For an Indian like me, suits , dresses and footwear was overkill. We get better quality and much cheaper back home. I was not sold for this. But lots of lanterns with lantern making class was the highlight. We bought lanterns and lots of souvenirs. Lanterns boat ride is a must but take the rowing ones. Lots of photo ops across the river. Amazing music and lots of food places Live music is awesome too

Great market with plenty of local delicacies and street food. It’s very convenient for buying souvenirs as well. I had a wonderful time walking around and soaking it all in. 4 stars for the great food and variety of items.

Awesome place to go for holiday treats, get immersed in a living history of ancient yet vibrant town and friendly kind hearted locals. You're pampered with the old houses enriched with culture, signature yellow painted shops selling clothes and souvenirs, cafes , food stores. Nearby the market there are also more offers. If you want to get in touch with nature, you can go visiting ricefields, Vegetable village Tra Que or go for a swim in An Bang beach. Never get enough of Hoi An 🥰

Beautiful place to visit especially during the Moon festival! It's so colorful. You can just walk around, ride the boat and light a lantern, or simply hang out and have drink. I definitely recommend to visit this place!

Peaceful experience in Hoi An market. Lot of place to eat , drink and shop. Especially the local ones Saw a lot of coffee and fruits juice places. Banana pancakes with Nutella were nice. Some places were closed due to the heavy rains the previous week and increase in water levels.

12/18/25. Cho Hoi An. Woke up early so took advantage and headed to the wet market to witness the crack of dawn excitement of different produce arriving from farms, off the boat seafood catch from the river and nearby sea, freshly butchered meats from the abattoir. Market was crowded with people coming to buy fresh meat, fish, seafood, vegetables and fruits. The smells of local dishes waifed through the air in the food stalls area. Fresh Vietnamese food on the spot like - Spring rolls, Fresh noodles Soups, Steamed local delicacies and more. Must visit for those like to witness actual "a day in the life of locals". Very different from Cho Han and Cho Con in Da Nang.
