The setting is beautiful, but the prices are very high for local standards. The food is good, but the service felt inconsistent. At times the waitress seemed dismissive, maybe because of the language barrier, but it came across as if my questions were brushed off, and I felt rushed.
At the end, I specifically asked to round up the bill, but instead, like in many touristy and pushy restaurants, the waitress handed me the tipping screen. I find that screen very annoying: you’re suddenly faced with a bunch of numbers, which feels confusing and pressuring, as if you’re being forced to tip on top of already expensive prices.
the place charges Western European prices rather than Croatian ones, without the western european feel or service which makes the pushiness around tipping even less pleasant.
