"No matter the time of year you visit, Lake Königssee always inspires awe. Summer means shimmering water in shades of emerald and sage green, while winter brings a cold, misty atmosphere with otherworldly light. Take a boat ride along the pristine fjord, past rugged cliffs and the Baroque-style St. Bartholomew’s Church. When your guide plays his trumpet, listen for the magical echo from the mountains."

It's one of the beautiful lakes in Germany. The emerald water and mountain views are breathtaking. You can take a boat trip, walk along the shore, or just relax and enjoy the scenery. If you wanna get here with public transportation, I would recommend going to Salzburg Hbf and taking the bus to here.

The most unforgettable palce in Germany. I visited this place in October. You can take boat and hearing the horn sounds while taking the boat to explore the lake view.

A place for you to chill and relax. Natural scenery helps you to forget all the bad stuff from your life. ✅ Easy to reach. Boat service is available and you can enjoy the scenery along the ride plus the performance from the captain. Although he only speaks in German, the atmosphere is great. ✅ A easy trail to the upper lake at the boat trip destination. Only one small section (~2-3mins) requires better non-slippery shoes and rope handles are available. ✅ You can enjoy beer and milk at the upper lake with some seats and tables available. Toilets are also there. ❌ The trail could be a bit dangerous on rainy days ❌Some tourists keep smoking in the seating area

One of the most beautiful lakes in Germany! The emerald water and mountain views are just breathtaking. You can take a boat trip, walk along the shore, or just relax and enjoy the scenery. Everything is very well organized with good facilities and parking nearby. A must-see if you’re in Bavaria! 🚤🌲💚

WOW—could this be the dreamiest place on Earth? It’s easily Top 1 on my list. ❄️ We arrived while it was snowing, and the entire surroundings felt like something straight out of a fairytale. The boat was beautiful, the water incredibly clear, and the mountains were perfectly coated in winter frost. The boat trip itself was smooth and very comfortable, with absolutely breathtaking views throughout. Although winter conditions only allowed us to go halfway, the experience was still unreal. We arrived with high expectations, and the scenery exceeded every single one of them. 😍💕

Königssee is stunning! Clear emerald water, surrounded by mountains – a true paradise. The boat ride and echo experience are unforgettable, and St. Bartholomä looks like a postcard. Best to go early to avoid crowds.

This was our second visit to Königssee after eight years – and the lake still amazes us just as much ☺️ The boat ride is a fantastic experience – maybe not the cheapest, but definitely worth it. On the way, the guide explains everything in both German and English, and one of the highlights is when they play the trumpet and the sound echoes back beautifully from the mountains – a truly unique moment. We recommend stopping at St. Bartholomä, and then continuing by boat to Salet, from where you can walk to Obersee and further to Röthbachfall, Germany’s highest waterfall. The scenery along the way is absolutely stunning – Königssee is one of those places you’ll always want to return to.

No trip to Berchtesgaden is complete without a boat ride through the Konigssee in Berchtesgaden National Park. The Boat rides leave from the tip of the Konigsee, and can be taken to One or Two spots for a different affordable price. Its a beautiful ride through the lake in the mountains. The entire tour is in German so if you don't speak the language you won't really know what's going on, but no need to as the ride is a reward in itself. Be sure to get to the Docking stations early so that you have time to head out to St. Bartholomew etc. and Hike around. There is also a hofbrau haus directly next to the church to have a nice meal while you wait to return to Berchtesgaden. It's a must do while in this beautiful area of Germany. Take the ride, and listen to the amazing echo's of the trumpets off the mountain side. Highly recommended, and well worth the price.
