On the Grid : Rise Coffee

"Located in “The Grove” district, Rise Coffee is for the people – at least that’s what the hand crafted sign behind the register says. And it’s true! They have their own fare of flavorful coffee, house-made syrups, cold brews, teas, pastries and quiche for whatever tickles your fancy. Rise really shines in how it manages to have a comfortable and cozy atmosphere for every scenario. Sit at the mismatched stools near the friendly baristas, use a tall top as a standing desk, occupy a table for a study spot, claim the couch upstairs to catch up with friends, or sit in the comfortable chairs scattered throughout for a good read. You’ll even find a table for children with a collection of picture books to match. It's a casual way to get your caffeine fix while avoiding the hustle and often-overwhelming bustle of an average chain. Sit back and relax with your not-so-average cup of joe." - Manifest

Absolutely lovely little coffeeshop with a gorgeous aesthetic, outside seating for days, and a really kind and friendly staff. Some of the best espresso I’ve ever had. One of my favorite finds in St. Louis. Will always stop here when I come back to town.

Talk about neighborhood friendly; second time here in and I couldn't be more amazed with the layout, staff and environment. During both visits here I couldn't help but indulged in the coffee (yeah for caffeine!) I have yet to try the food here; but as you can tell by the other reviews you can't go wrong. This venue is a little intimate, and by that I mean snug; so come early! My latest drink was the vanilla oat milk latte which was delicious for sure; my only concern was how much latte I got for the price - not much! Nonetheless, this is a fantastic experience and I would recommend for anyone looking for a caffeine fix. Lastly, I would strongly encourage taking the Rise House Blend to go; for those that have coffee pots at home. Nothing like the smell of cocoa, caramel and orange brewing in the morning! Rise and shine. Cheers,

Plus A.

This is my kind of place. If you like your coffee with a touch of political awareness, check out this place. I ordered their granola and an espresso and I was really impressed by the food. They do get super busy on weekends for brunch and people do chill there to work, so plan accordingly!

Friendly, welcoming, bright and well curated! One of one favorite breakfast spots in STL. Haven’t had anything from the menu we didn’t love, but particularly all their toast are delicious. Love the upstairs seating as well!

Adorable coffee shop with ample seating indoors and out. They were packed on Memorial Day Sunday but the staff handled it well. The breakfast sandwich (add bacon!) and maple/cardamom latte were standouts. Avocado toast was also great... they've got some really solid sourdough bread.

Never been in a coffeeshop like this before but LOVED It! Holy Cow it was awesome felt at home in there. Best iced honey latte I've ever had (made with wild wild flower honey) so damn good and the avacado toast was fantastic! Fresh greens, poched egg, pickled unions...just delious! 🙌🏽 The baristas are skilled and super down to earth easy to talk to and genuine people. My favorite thing though was the powerful art and quotes around the place. Really shed light on issues and humaized events and situations happing around us. You felt loved, seen, and cared for in there no matter your gender, race, or religion! Well done guys! I'll be back! ♥️👊🏾🌎🙌🏽

I can't say I've had a lot of the menu here yet, but everything I've had is wonderful! I love the environment here, so welcoming and open and bright. Perfect for meeting up with friends, an informal business meeting, studying, or sitting in a window by yourself enjoying your own company. There's a kid's play area upstairs if you've got little ones (which isn't too disruptive if you're not a little ones fan). Free WiFi, good coffee, great food! Definitely a new staple for me. Sidenote: yes the bread on the a avacado toast is sliced thick, but it was definitely the right decision, it's beautiful bread and bananced perfectly. Trust me.

Honestly loved the experience coming here. A lot of seating with an upstairs area and back patio. I’m glad I ordered their breakfast biscuit with bacon, it was immaculate. Interesting orange mocha latte that will have me returning for another soon.
