Orchid House Tulum

We had an amazing experience here! Everything was great: very welcoming and kind people, they gave us a lot of local recommendations, the food at the restaurant is very good, the room was lovely and cleaned. Staying here was a plus in our trip.

Honestly I should give them 1 start why because when we had dinner on their bird nest the guy said that I had to pay in dollars not in pesos because they don’t take pesos only dollars so my pesos had to be covered to dollar which means I had to pay way more even after I told him I live in Mexico he still wanted to charge me in dollars so I told him then I won’t give a tip and he got mad it sucks how they treat their own people. Honestly it’s a very nice hotel just the service sucks from the waiters they are money hungry leaches just like the Taxis last time I visited Tulum unless it’s free but I won’t go anymore. Oaxaca it’s better

The front desk person was very welcoming. I was immediately given a welcome drink and taken to my room. The room was just as in the photos. I was not able to use the outdoor tub only because I wasn't in the room long enough to try it. I did love the rainfall shower and the grounds. Lots of plant life and quiet. The people were excellent. We are dinner at their restaurant specifically in the "Nest" and enjoyed the spectacular views and the sunset. I definitely recommend having dinner there. The food was marvelous.

Hidden gem in the jungle. For couples who value privacy, excellent service, GREAT FOOD, and a relaxing vacation...Orchid House is the place to go! We enjoyed our long weekend trip in a beautiful spacious room with privacy and the relaxation we needed. The food is freshly prepared and sooo incredibly good. The bar and drinks were the best around. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We can't wait to go back. Thank you!!

Great honey moon experience in Orchid House! The place is absolutely spectacular. The atmosphere, the light, the nature, the music, they all create a magical vibe. The service was extremely helpful and kind. We highly recommend it!

Enjoyed a much needed retreat here. Communication was always prompt and seamless. Hotel helped us arrange everything from massages to transportation into town. Guys at the restaurant were awesome and food was great! We booked a room with a plunge pool but didnt get to use it much becasue of the mosquitos. The vanilla ice cream was a sure fave! Breakfast was perfect too! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet jungle retreat!

I would stay here again. The hotel is gorgeous and really does feel like being in the jungle. The pools are great. There are three on site and you also get access to the beach club in the hotel zone. The restaurant on-site is delicious. Rooms are great. Staff are super friendly and helpful. The welcome drink was a nice touch.

I booked this location well over a year ago to celebrate my birthday. The customer service was impeccable with every question answered in a timely manner so I was anxious to experience the rest of the property. ||I also booked The Nest, the on-site rooftop restaurant for dinner. ||I'll start with checkin. Several of our rooms smelled dank. You could tell they didn't prepare them at all for guests. AC units were not on and the rooms smell spoiled. The rooms were also clearly not sprayed for bugs. Some rooms had infestation of bed bugs on sheets and pillows. ||The Nest restaurant was also flowing with bugs. They had no bug spray or deterrent measures in place. Every dish was served cold or tepid. They clearly were not ready for a party of 15. |We also had issues with cold food for breakfast so we never ate anything on the property for the rest of our trip.||The beds were HARD! The shower nozzle fell off in two rooms. Some rooms didn't have hot water. Some of the AC units leaked water constantly leaving mildew and moldy residue. The pools were not cleaned and had too much chemicals in them. The balconies were unkempt and unusable. ||I gave them 2 stars only because the staff was great. But otherwise I would have never chosen to celebrate my birthday here. Im very saddened by this experience.
