The tour was very exciting and informative! It was impressive to learn more about the history of the winery and Port wine. Our guide Gustavo was super friendly, humorous, and full of enthusiasm. We picked the Super Premium Tour through Get your guide, but we couldn’t pick snacks with the tasting. Through the website of the winery it’s possible, which would be a nice addition to enjoy the wine even more. The small but charming museum is not included in the tour but you can visit it on your own if you arrive a bit earlier. Overall, a great experience and the Port is delicious - highly recommended!

Definitely worth booking a tour of the Cockburns port lodge - and booking directly on their website rather than through an agent. There’s a small museum to find out the history, and then the actual tour which was really informative and interesting. The tasting was worth every penny, we had a great time sampling the ports and chatting to our guide.

Francisco was a fantastic guide — very knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to listen to. He shared great local insight about Port wine and Porto that made the tour feel personal and authentic. The tasting was excellent and the overall experience was well worth it. Highly recommend!

Great place to visit. The collection of barrels is astonishing! Tour was good but thought it could have been more engaging and enriched with stories. Port tasting (super premium) was nice at the end; they kindly let us taste a couple of others

Cockburn’s – a dream come true! We took a guided tour of the cellars at Cockburn’s Port Lodge with Manuel, and it was an unforgettable experience. Manuel was incredibly kind and enthusiastic, and his explanations of the history of port wine and of Cockburn’s were both engaging and informative. The cellars themselves were stunning—filled with countless old oak barrels and wooden vats, they created a truly unique and atmospheric setting. The tasting at the end was equally impressive. We chose the vintage tasting paired with cheese and also ordered bread with olive oil, which complemented the wines perfectly. All in all, our experience was absolutely fantastic and without a doubt the highlight of our Porto holiday. We would highly recommend a visit to Cockburn’s to anyone traveling to Porto.

Catarina was a great guide on the port cellar tour. She was very informative and answered all questions that our small group had. We feel that this is one of the best experiences we had in Porto. Now, we know a lot more about port wine, and following the tasting we also know that the 20 year old tawny is our favourite! This is a must do experience, it is excellent!

Gustavo made our day. We ended up at the winery randomly in the evening. Gustavo was extremely kind and suggested the best port cocktails I’ve ever had. Then, he took us on a quick tour of the winery - just because he saw we were interested - and genuinely was excited to share about its history! Made our day and trip so much special. Genuinely thank you Gustavo and thanks to Cockburn’s for having Gustavo (and your excellent winery) 💖!!!
