Yelp
An old, classic San Telmo cafe/bar with all the character of the neighborhood.
The space is beautiful. The architecture itself is a testament to the earlier days of the city, and a multitude of old and new pictures and news articles on the walls establish its history. It's hard to describe in words, but every piece fits together, from the piano, clocks, and hanging meats to the authentic San Telmo theme of the menus and the signs.
This is also one of few spots that actually cook breakfast. If you're a morning carnivore like me, you can come here (after 9am) for eggs and bacon or for a surprisingly perfectly round omelette. I look forward to exploring the menu further in future visits.
Note: The first time I came here for dinner, my opinion quickly dropped from 5 stars to 4 stars. The steak was very disappointing. Still an awesome space.
