We came on a busy Wednesday noon. It was also Christmas Eve. The wait time was 45 minutes, but you can reserve a spot in yelp. The host quickly seated our party of two. We ordered the southern eggs Benedict, the soup and salad combo, and the haus bretzel.
Southern eggs Benedict:5/5
The southern eggs benedict came with pulled pork and a choice of grits, fruit, or pancakes. I chose to upgrade to blueberry pancakes. The pulled pork was tender and flavourful, poached eggs were cooked to perfection, and the biscuit it came on was buttery and soft. The blueberry pancakes were also soft and not too sweet. I couldn't really taste the sweetness of the blueberries. The pancakes were perfect with the provided butter and maple syrup.
Soup and salad combo:3/5
The soup of the day was decent with a moderate amount of toppings, and the salad was good. The veggies were fresh.
The haus bretzel:5/5
Came with cheesy sauce, sweet honey butter, and horseradish Dijon mustard. The pretzel was huge, it was bigger than both of my hands! It was soft and perfect with the cheesy sauce. I really liked this pretzel.
Service was slow, but that's understandable for such a busy restaurant. One issue was that our waitress never refilled our water.
The ambience was loud and there was a cool painting of a pig on the wall. Not much to say about the ambience besides it's a busy restaurant.
Overall I would highly recommend this restaurant, just make sure to reserve a spot in the waitlist so you don't spend an hour waiting.
