I’ve been coming to this place for a while because, honestly, it’s really cute and the food is amazing. Everything tastes fresh, flavorful, and well-made, it’s definitely on the pricier side, but I kept going back because it was worth it.
That said, I think I’m done going there. The staff has gotten unbearable. They’re not outright rude, but they’re so passive-aggressive and act like they’re above you. It’s the kind of attitude that makes you uncomfortable, like they’re doing you a favor by taking your order.
What makes it worse is how they gossip and laugh among themselves while looking over at guests. It’s awkward and uncomfortable because you can’t tell if they’re talking about you, but it definitely feels that way. I shouldn’t feel uneasy just sitting and waiting for my food.
On top of that, they expect massive tips even though the receipt already says there’s a 2.5% service fee that goes directly to the staff. I always tip when it’s deserved, but it feels wrong when the service isn’t friendly or respectful.
What really made me write this is that I paid in cash and the tall male cashier kept my change. Didn’t even ask, just assumed he could keep it. It wasn’t a big amount, but it’s the principle. You don’t just decide to take someone’s money because you feel entitled to it. If you want to make more, ask for a raise or find a better-paying job, but don’t take it out on customers.
It’s disappointing because the food is fantastic, but the service ruins the whole experience.
