Gildas rum

An amazingly beautiful cafe with moderately priced food and alcohol, been here twice and satisfied both times. The grilled sandwiches here were flavorful, crispy and fluffy bread yet not dry. One time a customer accidentally picked the sandwich for me, and I picked his with nuts in it. The waiter offered a new portion to me since I’m allergic to nuts, and for free. The indoor decor is to my aesthetics, a vintage atmosphere with delicate taste.

We came to this restaurant three times during our stay in Stockholm. The salads and toasts are really good and the interior is unique and relaxing :) The prices are very reasonable. I recommend ! (Delicous Chai Lattes too)

We got a Semla which was super stale, a cookie that was like a brick. The coffee somehow tasted like onions? All pastries were too sweet. Atmosphere was nice but the coffee and pastries were a big no no.

One of the coziest cafe shop in Stockholm city. I love this place and also super quality of food here. Their service is amazing and customer friendly.

Nice place for fika. The atmosphere and the terrace on sunny days are good. I ordered a cappuccino, a kanelbulle and a smörgos, all good. Although 12 years ago they had the best smörgos of the area, now they are just fine. There is only one small toilet.

Good taste of both salads (Avocado and Hummus), however no mentioning (at time of order 18.30 hrs) that bread had been out already since one hour. Compensation (after asking for it) was one piece of great blueberry cake, thanks! Clean restroom, nice places outside with very little traffic.

Gildas rum had seats. Despite its pervasive social media presence, Gildas Rum was not popular. More mama’s home than a cool cousin’s recommendation, Gildas rum looks more matronly than the hip joints all over Sofo. The coffee was good. The pastries were mediocre. We got what we needed.

OK place for a coffee or like we did coffee for me but beer and wine for my friends after dinner. We chose to take dessert here and it was a good choice. Bit crowded but OK.

Sometimes, ever so rarely, the stars in the sky will align and for just one perfect moment everything is the world is beautiful and right. This moment happened for me at Gilda's Rum and I will remember it as one of the highlights of my trip to Stockholm. My girlfriend and I were walking along the street looking for place to have a cup of tea and a bite of something sweet to eat. Gilda's looked eccentric and whimsical from the outside and that drew us in. Comfy seating, mood lighting, soft music, a great selection of Kusmi teas and various pies and cakes? We struck gold. After retiring to the couch in the main area with our slices of apple pie and chocolate cake and violet teas, we sunk in for the evening. Something about Gilda's was so enchanting. The conversation flowed smoothly and and we were able to thoroughly enjoy eachother's company here. 30 minutes turned into 2 hours and we decided to get a salad since dinner time was approaching. The salad was hearty and delicious, with a VERY generous serving of goat cheese. Another hour passed as we got refills on our teas and the waitress came over with a free cardamom biscuit for us. We were so touched by the gesture and I was reminded of how delicious cardamon is. We stayed until a few minutes before the cafe closed and I ended up having such a lovely, peaceful evening here that Gilda's will always have a place in my heart.

Gildas rum is a fine choice for fika. It is not very noisy, it's cosy and very vintage. There is a great variety of sweets, but also salads and sandwiches. Also long opening hours :-) I give 4 stars as a petition to bring back the huge tea mugs that were so characteristic of Gildas!

This cafe is truly a hidden gem! It's a little more hidden than usual due to the construction on the street, but once you're inside it's like being transported to another era. Very dark and cozy with candles going, no matter what time of day! There's also a multitude of comfy velvet vintage furniture to choose from. I keep telling everyone it's like stepping inside the great gatsby for coffee. I get a soy latte every time, and have yet to sample any of the baked goods but they all look divine. Their hummus salad is delicious! It comes with a tennis-ball sized dollop of hummus that is probably more than any person should eat at one time but it can be done.. This is the sort of place that has more of a "fika date atmosphere" to it, rather than doing laptop work, although i've definitely seen both. The only down-side of Gilda's is that they only accept cards, which is probably more convenient for most people but as a traveler cash is preferable for me!

Thi café is ideally located in SoFo next to a pretty cute park and a lot of interesting and fancy shops. The food is excellent. We had the shrimps salad and the salmon wrap which were both really good and fresh. It's just sad it is a self-service and the waiters are not really welcoming.

Cosy and colorful café for coffee and lunch. They have a few tables outside, which is great since it's a bit too hot inside during the summer. However, I believe that it's really nice inside in the winter.

I like this place and return over and over again! The staff is usually very lovely but a bit stressed from time to time which makes the service feel rushed. I like that the place feels like your visiting a friends home, casual and friendly. They have great salads, sandwiches and desserts. It tastes amazing and the portions are usually generous. You truly get what you pay for. As it is very popular it is difficult to fit bigger groups of friends.

First time we were here we had a really tasty sandwich, but second time we had a really bad service. Asked for hot chocolate with cream and after some time the waiter came with the hot chocolate without the cream and said that she wouldn't be able to make them with cream as that would make a mess in the kitchen...

Gildas Rum is an old-timey café, usually very crowded, in the heart of trendy SoFo. They do have very delicious pies and "fika" but it's hard to find a place to sit and once you are sitting, you need to speak very loudly to "out voice" the rest of the crowd. Also, the staff often seem to be sort of sad or stressed (altough they do a great job) which makes it less enjoyable in my opinion, I just feel bad for them. However, it's VERY cozy if you find yourself there when it happens to be more empty of people.

Coffee was a bit small but probably free refills. The tunafish sandwich was really tasty! I was surprised. And it was also pretty filling for 79kr. Frrrrrriieeeenndddlllyyy waitstaff! I loved the decor but I'm a sucker for strange eccentric places like this. It's very dark and "cave like" as you get further and further into the cafe and I think that would make it really nice for winter nights! I haven't been to that many places in SoFo but this place and all the cool cafes and restaurants around Nytorget park has opened my mind to exploration! They're open till 10, wahoo!

I love this place! Found it quite by accident! Ducked in one afternoon to get out of the rain and found the atmosphere to be cozy, the coffee delicious, and the staff warm and friendly. Definitely a must when in the Söder area!

Was here a couple of days ago with a friend. Very cozy place! We ordered both toast and tea. There was a corner where they had water with different fruits taste in canes. I like these places over Starbucks & Co. I hope Gildas Rum will be around for a long time.

Staff is awesome, place is cozy and you're allowed to bring your dog inside! Excellent choice for dog-lovers and coffee-drinkers.

Cosy cafe In a cool area. It's not the best coffe in town but they have a great variety of cakes that makes it worth come here. Nice terrace but be prepared to wait for a table on a sunny day. Service could have been better. Not really friendly. Overall ok.

Lovely spot in Soder for coffee and a light bite. They have great sandwiches and salads. The pressed tuna with a green side salad was delicious. All of this in a comfortable setting, not unlike a living room.
