What a fascinating place. A small house but the fantastic guides were able to bring it to life and make the visit into a really educational event. So glad to have been able to see David Parr's work and hear about the life of his family.

We really loved our visit to the David Parr House. It's a thing of beauty, and so wonderfully looked after. Our guide, Judith, was a mine of interesting information about the house itself and the social history of the times in which it was created and preserved. A thoroughly wholesome, interesting and charming experience. You must book timed tickets in advance - the house is tiny and I think they only let in 6 visitors at a time.

Such great experience - couldn’t recommend more. The stewards/guides Sheila and Caro were absolutely amazing throughout all of the tour. You can feel how passionate they are about the artist and the house - it’s contagious! The house is absolutely gorgeous - so much craftsmanship and talent. An hour very well spent - surrounded by history and beauty.

This is a fascinating little house museum, a wonderful combination of art, design and craftsmanship, alongside a fascinating social history and the often untold stories of working class aspiration. Our stewards were fantastic and brought the house alive. Only drawback is the exhibition space being combined with the workshop shop which end up impinging on the other. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Amazing experience, I didn't even know there was such a gem hidden here! Definitely worth a visit, especially for anyone interested in late Victorian house decor and social history

I have been wanting to visit David Parr's house for a few years now and it did not disappoint. The house itself is a capsule of time, creativity and dedication to craft and to the family home. Our tour guides were great and gave us time to look at the house alone whilst always closely for questions and information. The young lady (blonde wavy hair), we didn't catch her name, was really sweet and informative, she was doing a great job. I recommend a visit to anyone interested in history and the arts & crafts. It is such a special house.

Highly recommend- a window into lives lived inside the tapestry of Arts and Crafts colours and imagery. Craftsmanship brought to life by the story of David Parr and his family and how the project came to pass
