Ok..Been in Colombia 12 nights now. Been in Central America a few times but that was 15 - 20 years ago when we were younger, poorer, less experienced. Ouzo is just happens to get be the subject of my view on Colombian cooking in general. So, people are lovely, helpful and are, eumepheistically, "exuberant". Means noisy but that's ok just bring ear plugs. Back to the cooking. It's ok. Fir a European It's great value. But they do think that volume equals value. Means I end up leaving half the food on the plate. Some quirks - sea bass is another fish entirely and vegetable oil is the goto frying medium. So, it's all slightly disappointing. Sure that if the country prosper and develops this, food, dining, will improve in the same way as it has in Europe. In the meantime, manage your expectations and ignore everything Trip Advisor says.
