20 Best Restaurants in Bermuda, From Fish Sandwich Joints to Sushi and Steakhouses | Condé Nast Traveler

"Many restaurants in Bermuda serve sushi, but none do it better than Pearl, the second-floor lounge above Port O Call. Step inside, go to the back, and climb the stairs; once you're upstairs, you’ll find a cozy dining area with high-top and seated tables, next to a sushi bar where you can sit and let its Japanese-trained chefs take excellent care of you. First, ask what’s local; say, just-caught yellowfin tuna, wahoo, or rockfish. If rockfish are biting, order the usuzukuri, thinly sliced sashimi with red onion, pink ginger, rice wine, and chili oil. Next, veer off menu; ask for the salmon belly nigiri, a rich, fatty cut that's torch-blistered and finished with a drizzle of soy. (Sometimes Pearl has it; sometimes it doesn't.) When it’s time to start on the maki rolls, tell your server what you like and let the chefs do their thing." - David LaHuta

"Friday Night Lights Pearl restaurant is a short, ten-minute walk along the water from the Fairmont Hamilton Princess. Its second-story location—above the Port o’ Call restaurant—provides views over the harbor, but you may find that the sushi and the sake cocktails here command your attention. “This is the place to go for melt-in-your-mouth sushi,” according to Rebecca. “My favorite is the Rockfish Usuzukuri which comes with red onion, pink ginger, and a rice wine vinegar and chili oil reduction. It is pure heaven! After dinner, stop at the Port o’ Call downstairs for a drink. It’s a perfect and popular Friday night itinerary.” Sponsored by The Bermuda Tourism Authority"

Great food, literally can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Make sure to make a reservation! This was our 3rd time dining at Pearl and is a must whenever we visit Bermuda. If you go during harbor nights request a balcony view you won't regret it.

Had a great time dining here. Started with the steamed edamame - pretty mild, could’ve used a little more flavor. The Rainbow and Katsuyama rolls were super fresh and tasty, and the Apple Galette for dessert was really good. The view was a nice bonus. Overall, a chill and enjoyable experience.

Sushi rolls are great, tuna sashimi was decent, but nigiri is unacceptable (rice ball was so packed and sticky that it’s like chewing mochi and the fish on top was super thin), and just skip the tempura.

Discover a hidden gem for exquisite sushi! Despite its intimate size, this restaurant boasts delectable, impeccably fresh sushi. While the service is satisfactory, the true charm lies in securing an outdoor table, granting a picturesque view of the serene waters. Additionally, the availability of spacious tables caters to those seeking an ideal setting for a seamless business lunch or dinner.

Really enjoyed this meal and drinks. I don't love sushi, but they made it good! The dumplings are tasty as were the beef dim sum. Some great mixed drink options too

Coming from NY, my wife two-year old and I are hard to impress. However, I must say that the fish is fresh. The rice and nori are good, not great. Why the two stars? We were asked to leave mid meal because our child was too loud. Apparently kids are unwelcome after 6:30PM according the maitre d' (French.) We did not receive a any notice of noise complaints, until he basically said “sorry, you have to go.” He was also rude to his staff which I thought was unnecessary and excessive. Solid option for sushi, if you are not dining with your children. We won’t be back.
