I spent a full week in Room 906 while on assignment coordinating transportation for a large event at the convention center. Working closely alongside the hotel staff every day, I didn’t just feel supported—I felt like part of a family. When it was time to leave, it genuinely felt like I was saying goodbye to people I cared about. This was my first visit to St. Louis, and while downtown itself didn’t quite meet my expectations, this hotel more than made up for it. Its location is unbeatable: just a couple of blocks from the convention center and an easy 7-minute walk to Ballpark Village and the Arch. The nearby downtown restaurants were excellent as well—highly recommend Katie’s at Ballpark Village, and be sure to ask for Lisa. If you’re coming to St. Louis and want a stay that combines luxury, heart, and unforgettable service, this is the place. I couldn’t recommend it more highly—and I already can’t wait to return.

We had such a wonderful experience staying here as part of a large conference group. Hosting that many guests at once is no small task, and the team handled it with professionalism, grace, and genuine hospitality. Latrina was an outstanding manager. She was attentive, organized, and clearly committed to making sure everything ran smoothly for both guests and staff. Kevin, our night auditor, was equally impressive. He handled every detail of his role with care and efficiency, and it was clear he takes great pride in his work. We are truly grateful for the effort and warmth shown by the entire team. It made our stay seamless and enjoyable.

I stayed at the Hotel Saint Louis for one night. We booked using Marriot points, and it was confirmed at both check in and check out that there were no charges for the stay. Despite this, our card was charged for the room after I left. It took 5 phone calls to the hotel and additional calls to the bank to resolve their mistake. Today, 42 days after the stay, I’ve finally been refunded for the room the hotel mistakenly charged to my card. We were initially told the charge was only a hold on the card (wrong, it was already posted). Then we were told our credit union needed to provide Hotel Saint Louis with an authorization code to get our money back; when we called with the code, we were then told they didn’t need a code from our bank, but their bank needed to give ours a code. Then we were told no code was needed at all—they just needed the manager to approve the refund and would call us back. They never called back, and when we called the 5th time, the hotel told us to just dispute their own charge with our bank. The rooms are nice, but the parking is a joke. The offsite parking they advertise as being available in lieu of their $50 valet, has to be accessed by walking all the way around the block, and public parking starts on the 4th floor. There’s not a lot within walking distance and after taking over a month to correct their mistaken charge to my card, I’ll be staying elsewhere during my yearly medical trips to STL.

From the amazing greeting upon arrival we knew our stay would be special. A big thank you to Latrina for your warm welcome-so genuine. Lovely, you are really special girl - your willingness to give so much of your wonderful soul and passion about St Louis and this grand beautiful hotel during the night shift was so inspiring for us; to not only enjoy this amazing hotel but to get out and embrace some fantastic attractions. Thank you both so much ladies!! The bar and staff there are fantastic We originally planned to have one beverage on our first night here and head out but changed our mind after our first cocktail. Thanks very much Troy- your skills are first class and our cocktails were mixed and balanced to perfection; your a master craftsman for sure. Thank you for your insight into this amazing city and hotel history. Both you and your trusty side kick RJ really made our night so special. Anyone who loves peanut whiskey - has to have the Troys legendary Evlis Presley ( super tasty take on an old fashioned). We can't wait to come back.

The room and actual hotel were beautiful. The staff was very average and not helpful until they saw my partners Marriott status. The server at the restaurant had a positive attitude and was nice, but also very slow and there was no one there. The bidet in our room was broken as was the ice machine. They also had 1 ply toilet paper and for as nice of hotel as it was I would’ve expected better quality. (I’m 7 months pregnant so the toilet quality was noticeable in a way it normally isnt 😂) We loved the heated pool, we had it to ourselves and there were plenty of clean towels up there. We were there on a Friday and the rooftop restaurant did not open. Just know the whole St. Louis downtown area was pretty sad when we visited. Most shops shut down, homeless people all over, gun shots in the middle of the night that sounded like they were on the same block.. just be aware.

Great hotel, we have a generous space, the bathroom is nice. I like the deciration which is stylish and The record player gives a nice 60’s vibe. The food is good in the restaurant but on cold winters it does the job and keep us filled.

We came to STL for a quick get-away and found Hotel St Louis. We paid extra for the king suite, but quickly found that it was not worth the price. On the positive side, all the staff were very friendly. The valets were especially helpful. But…when we got there, we had to wait 20-25 min to check in. It was a very busy weekend, and there was only 1 person at the check-in desk. We got up to our room and wanted to check out the TV in the bedroom. But we kept having to deal with a Bluetooth record player trying to connect to the TV as a speaker. It was maddening! It would happen every 30 seconds and we would have to use the buttons on the TV to exit the screen. We even had someone from maintenance come in and try to fix it but they couldn’t fix it either. We ended up just giving up on it. (Thankfully, there was a TV in the “living room” that worked fine.) We left the hotel for breakfast, and when we came back, the TV was on in the bedroom and looked to be working…but we had not turned it on before we left. We think someone must have come in while we were gone to check on it. Just made us a little nervous because we had all our stuff in there and we didn’t know they were coming in. The hotel staff did offer us some additional Marriott pints for our inconvenience. As we were getting ready to leave, about 5 min before it was time to check out, someone knocked on our door, seemingly to check to see if we were out yet. That was odd. The room was not overly clean either.

I had a very unsettling and disappointing experience during my stay at this hotel. Upon checking in, the front desk clerk—an older African-American woman—was extremely rude and unprofessional. When I arrived, there was already a line, which I did not complain about. I waited patiently for my turn. Once it was finally my turn, there was a brief issue with my form of payment, and I needed to transfer funds between bank accounts. This process took no more than 30 seconds. Instead of allowing me a moment to resolve the issue, the clerk attempted to push me out of line in order to assist a Caucasian guest who was behind me. This was my first red flag. I stepped aside briefly, then re-entered the line and was eventually assisted. I was able to complete the transfer and successfully pay for my room. Later, my son went to the snack area. There was no visible kiosk or clear instruction on how to pay, so he called me, and I assumed the charges would simply be added to the room. While he was holding his credit card, he was stopped by the front desk and treated as though he was attempting to steal. He paid for his items and came back to the room visibly upset and informed me of what had happened. I immediately called the front desk, and instead of addressing the situation professionally, the staff accused my son of attempting to steal—even though he had his credit card in hand the entire time. The micromanagement and assumptions made toward him were disturbing. It felt as though he was targeted simply because he is young and African-American, with the assumption that he would cause trouble. I understand that I am young, but I am also a responsible adult who knows how to check into a hotel and conduct myself appropriately. This entire experience made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. The only staff member who was pleasant and professional during our stay was the bartender. I strongly encourage management to address how African-American guests—especially younger guests—are treated. No customer should feel disrespected, profiled, or unfairly scrutinized while staying at your property.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. The lobby and the rooms are gorgeous, and the fitness setup was nice too. The neighborhood is not in great shape, with two blocks of abandoned buildings adjacent to the hotel. But I'm downshifting on stars not based on that, but based on the service. The service, while friendly, was not anywhere near what I expect at a hotel of this caliber. -I dropped off two dresses for pressing for a wedding we were attending, and they were never sent out. When they were not delivered we asked the front desk, who had them still crumpled in the bag. The front desk was very apologetic and said a manager would follow up with us but no one did. We ended up needing to iron the dresses and they did not look nearly as good as pressing would have. If the hotel didn't offer pressing I would have found somewhere else to do it, but offering it and not following through is awful. -We used the valet for one day and were charged for every day of our stay. -The breakfast servers were clueless. They said the fruit was pineapples and berries when it was basic mixed melon, which I would not have ordered. On the last day they just "ran out of fruit" which is something I've never seen. Also, we ordered the French toast which the menu said came with lemon mascarpone, but it did not. When I followed up with the server to ask for it, he had no idea what I was talking about, even after looking at the menu. -We had 4 people in a suite and ran out of towels immediately each day. The housekeepers never noticed and never left extra towels. We had to keep calling for them. As a Marriott Platinum member I've stayed at several Autograph Collections and always had a good experience. This one needs serious work. ETA: I spoke with accounting who promised to fix the error, and never received a receipt saying it had been fixed. I called back three days later and accounting would not answer, and neither would the front desk. After several calls I spoke with someone who fixed the error and was completely unapologetic about it and about my wasted time. As is obvious from the non-response from the hotel below, focusing on the nice lobby with no intent to contact a customer or fix anything wrong with the service, this is a hotel that does not care about improving its service. I would never return.

Where so I start with this timeless gem of a hotel!? When you walk in, you're greeted with a beautiful fireplace that is so cozy during the winter times. The beauty of this hotel is no other! Beautiful views up top at The Form Sky Bar are no other so make sure to make a stop up there! You can find super fun drag brunches there, to kick offs & plenty more. Last but not least I HAVE to mention the hotel lobby bar. Aaron!!!!! Omg. My bartender has been Aaron everytime I've come & he's a mixologist, people. If he's there make sure to ask for him because damn he mixes them GOOD! Chefs kiss. Not to mention he's so sweet & easy to talk to & is super helpful with the menu. They have a fun menu that you can play with to figure out what you want to eat so make sure to check Hotel St. Louis for your next stop downtown for either a place to stay or for yummy drinks.

Rooms are FANTASTIC! Comfortable and especially loved the vinyls! Service was very slow overall (short staffed) - in the restaurant, (no coffee cups, waited numberous times to be seated or served), at the bar and on the rooftop pool- no towels, not cleaned, etc. The STAFF overall was amazing- everyone was super friendly- I loved it and beautiful views! Although I couldn't see the ARCH or fireworks - it was GREAT overall! Just a little hiring and training and should be a total FIVE!

Stayed here 2 nights in July 2023. Easy walk to Busch stadium and the arch from this location. Sadly a lot of downtown St. Louis is boarded up and buildings are vacant. We were able to find a couple nice places for meals all within walking distance. The hotel has a lot of charm. The room was huge and very clean and the staff was wonderful. The rooftop pool was also a major draw, it's small but we enjoyed it. We did have some issues with noise, could hear people yelling in the street until nearly 2am our first night and could also hear activity in the hallway. All in all the hotel has great character, is a ideally located and friendly staff. Felicia and Tasha at the front desk were amazing!

Beautiful and Classic Hotel St. Louis! This building is beautiful. The rooftop bar hosts many events such as kickoffs, corporate happy hours, wine dinners, and drag brunches. The downstairs bar, Union 30, is a great mix of business, travelers and locals hanging out and eating great food. Get Ace, one of the bartenders to make you a smoked old fashioned. You can also play with the menu. They'll accommodate! Tuna tartare and all the salads with salmon or shrimp are musts.

Had a great one night stay here midweek. The check in process was super easy and they offered me a margarita to get settled. The room was beautiful and clean, with plenty of space to spread out. (The record player was a nice touch, although I discovered all my records were cracked, so I just got one song on each...) The pool is very small, yet has a great view of downtown. It's an easy walk to all the downtown attractions.

Beautiful structure/building. Smells amazing as soon as you enter the hotel. The design and ambiance is spot on: peaceful, fancy, and clean. My only complaint is the valet driver/doorman. Whether you use valet or not, the employee is expected to at least hold the door for the patrons as we enter with our bags/suitcases. But in most cases, there's no assistance. The employee was either standing at the podium on his phone or sitting to the side on his phone. Not at all helpful.

This was our second stay at Hotel St. Louis, and although there have been some bumps, we still love it. I'd give a 4.5- the staff bumps it up! Our first stay (April 2023) was in a corner room with a city-view, and it was gorgeous. "City view" is relative- you might be looking at a parking garage, so don't get too excited about the view. But the room was very spacious, modern, and elegant. The record player is a fun touch. The bathroom, though? That's what clenched a return visit. The bathroom is absolutely gigantic, and the soaking tub/shower area is just divine. The TV in the mirror is maybe over-the-top, but cool nonetheless. And I didn't even know I needed a heated toilet seat until I stayed here. The one downside of our first stay was about 1 hour before we checked out. We had the "do not disturb" sign on the door, and heard a knock. My husband looked out, and no one was at the door but he could see the cleaning carts. Ok- no big deal. Until... about 10 minutes later we hear our door open. We had the latch engaged so it could not open all the way, but when my husband went to the door the cleaning woman was using the "do not disturb" sign to try to DISENGAGE THE LATCH. It was peak irony. We were clearly still in the room. When we went down to check-out, we informed the front desk and they were horrified. They gave us a significant discount and profuse apologies. Overall- it's now a funny story and we were happy with how it was handled. The manager even followed up with us! 2nd stay: 3/09/24. We had such a lovely stay the first time that we decided to come back! We paid a little extra for a balcony, even though we knew the weather may not cooperate- we were ok with that. When we got to our room, the sitting area was nice, but being walked off from the "bedroom" made both areas seem very small. Disappointment #1: the "balcony." I mean, I guess it is technically a balcony. The saddest, most lackluster balcony ever. It's just a dirty metal landing that probably would only appeal to smokers for its functionality- not for the view of the building's HVAC systems. We asked for a high floor- and got the 3rd floor. We didn't pay much- maybe an extra $10? So I could have ignored it, except... Disappointment #2: balcony rooms don't have tubs. We didn't know this, or we definitely would not have picked a balcony room. After having such a gorgeous room the first time we stayed, this was a big let down. But... Hotel St. Louis, once again, offered up some excellence. My husband went down to see if we could change rooms. We felt a little hoodwinked about the "balcony" and then no tub? Too much. The front desk staff were amazing. They were busy- the hotel was bustling. They didn't have another king room immediately available, but told us that if we would wait downstairs, they would get us moved as soon as one was cleaned and ready. They didn't have any corner rooms left, but we were fine with whatever as long as it had a tub. After a brief wait- maybe 30 minutes- they let us know our room was ready. We were relocated to the 5th floor- to a CORNER ROOM with a city view!!! Totally unexpected, and it absolutely made our night! The staff was so kind and went above and beyond. Other notes: the hotel is really well-soundproofed. The only noise we ever heard was from outside. Inside? Nada. When we arrived, only 1 elevator (out of 4) was working, but they had someone en route to fix them and they were working again by mid-evening. Valet workers were BUSY in the morning, but they were friendly and efficient and working hard! Overall: if you are looking for a beautiful and relaxing vibe, Hotel St. Louis fits the bill. Just skip the balcony (unless you are a smoker) and enjoy a tub instead!

Hotel Saint Louis is a gorgeous Autograph Collection Hotel under the Marriott brand that's truly one of a kind! The building originally build in 1893 is gorgeous, upholds a lot of originality, and was designed by the favor, Louis Sullivan. Hotel Saint Louis has a full service restaurant & bar, rooftop bar, spa, workout center, valet, and more! The food in Union 30 Restaurant is delicious! Some of the best wings around town and a great classic smash burger! Double queen, King, and Suites available, with balcony. The bathroom has a combo shower space and bathtub fit to aid your level of comfort. Don't forget about the TV in the mirror, heated toilet seats and the history of St. Louis being Blues, the rooms come with a record player to enjoy some classic tunes. Definitely a great stay

I had an amazing stay at Hotel Saint Louis, this place is well worth the price if you're looking to stay in downtown! The staff was incredibly accommodating, and always went out of their way to be helpful. From front desk staff helping me out with a super early check in, to the maintenance folks talking up local eats, the welcoming vibe made me feel like I was at a local inn rather than a big hotel. But then the amenities reminded me of just how fancy this hotel was. My room was so spacious, and everything was incredibly well maintained. The colonial decor was such a nice change from some of the more sterile modern hotel layouts. And the furniture was all new and incredibly comfortable, including the bed. The bathroom in particular was amazing, with all marble fixtures, a sauna-style shower, and A HEATED TOILET SEAT! What a treat. If you're already spending to stay in this area, I can say without hesitation that the extra $20 per night is well worth the splurge for Hotel Saint Louis!

I was really torn between four and five stars, but I went with five based on value and some of the top notch staff. Pricing always varies, but for the room I got, between 225-275 a night on a weekend, I think that is a good value. I got a king corner room. Wish I had gotten the similarly priced balcony suite just in hopes of getting a better view. The room is luxurious, but unless you're on the highest floors, you're looking at brick wall and parking garages. The bathroom was spacious and had a wet room-type layout and great soaker tub. The bidet was divine! The bed was a little firm for my taste, but my husband liked it fine. The minibar wasn't stocked due to COVID, but isn't it time we stop using that as an excuse if we are going to travel and operate at full capacity? The restaurant, reviewed separately, was purgatory. But the staff was wonderful. Particularly the valet and door staff. The bell man, who's name was similar to Pilar or Pilan (I'm so sorry I forgot, and I feel terribly about it)--a local man who had lived in the northeast for a long time and later returned to St. Louis--was amazing. Anyway, he is so engaging and kind and knew the people walking down the street. He said hello to everyone and had an infectious smile. I would return just because of him. I hope Marriott gives him the recognition he deserves. Anyway, this hotel isn't about the view. It is located near the arch and some of the downtown attractions, like the blues museum. But the staff is the reason I would stay here again.

Stayed at Hotel St Louis. Very nice hotel with patio and nice city view. I slept like a rock and bed was warm and soft. So Sunday morning, went to Drag Brunch up top floor of hotel. Brunch buffet was so good and they have everything. Yes I would be back to sleep in this hotel again

Gorgeous old Louis Sullivan office building repurposed as a fine hotel. My room was impeccably clean, well-appointed, and supremely comfortable. My room had a balcony, which was a nice plus. Staff was friendly and helpful and the bar in the lobby was lively and pleasant every evening. I was there in the dead of winter when days were short, and the neighborhood was transitional after dark. But the Schnucks two blocks away is an unmistakeable "green shoot" for this neighborhood.

I find myself very surprised at how nice this hotel was in the middle of Downtown St. Louis. Beautiful lobby and room. My king size room was HUGE with a HUGE bathroom. The toilet comes with a bidet although I did not use it and also a built in TV in the bathroom mirror. There is also a record player with classic vinyls. Bed and pillow was comfortable. There is also a spa downstairs although all services was booked on the day off. The doorman was polite and helpful. The only negative was parking across the street for an extra $12 a day. Recommended to stay!

I was treated less than by the employee Songhi and the valet team. Upon entering the building, I was yelled at by Songhi that I wasn't allowed to stand by the check in stand. I'm a business owners and I would never let my employees treat my customers like they were a nuisance. I can't recommend this resort because of the employees that Marriott chooses to employ.

The hotel is nice but the restaurant is ridiculous. Wait forever for cold food to arrive. Will not come back for these prices or service.

We stopped for the evening wanting to experience downtown....and it was amazing from the building architecture to the entrance hall. The bedroom is a blend of past and present in a technological chic comforting way. The bathroom is a sanctuary with all you need to feel pampered and clean. The bar restaurant is unpretentiously charming with all you need to have for a great evening. The staff are welcoming helpful knowledgeable and they genuinely are happy to have you as a guest! It is a must while in Saint Louis.

Truly amazing experience. We came to St. Louis to pick up our newest furry family. Since it was a long trek from home we decided to make a night out of our road trip. Hotel Saint Louis is beautiful. Located right in downtown and walking distance from everything. There is valet and public parking around the corner. Valet is around $40 per night and the structure is about $12. The walk is easy, just remember to bring your ticket so you can get back in. If you forget it, valet can help or you will have to walk around the structure to get in. We were greeted by so many kind individuals. Check-in was so easy and the person that help us was so kind! I wish I could remember everyone's name! Our room was absolutely stunning. We had a large corner king room. Honestly, it felt like a suite. Our room was giant! We had a living room, hallway, giant bathroom, and a separate bedroom. The bathroom was gorgeous! White marble throughout with a bidet! Fancy! Ohhh... how could I forget... there was a TV in the mirror in the bathroom. I could have lived in that bathroom! Wish we stayed here longer! Outside of the room, the hotel is historic, but stunning. There is a heated rooftop pool and bar. Hello! There are two places to eat and have drinks, lobby bar and rooftop. Can't stop raving about this gem and all the people that work here. If you're in St. Louis, stay here for a special treat! You won't regret it.

We have stayed in this hotel a few times and absolutely love it. Every staff member was accommodating and very friendly, from the front desk to the bar staff. The hotel itself is beautiful, decorated in jewel blue and silver tones. The bathrooms are very nice, marbled with bidets and in mirror TV. The record players in the room are a nice touch. Very clean. Highly recommend!

My favorite hotel in St. Louis! Hotel Saint Louis is a Marriott Autograph Collection hotel and lives up to the reputation and standard that comes with that hotel line. This hotel is very elegant and stylish, with a mix of art deco and modern design. I stayed here last weekend in a suite with a balcony on the 11th floor. The room was really nice, clean, and spacious, and even had a record player with classic vinyl albums, a TV in the bathroom mirror, and a heated toilet with bidet! The view from our room was facing the west, which still provided a nice view of downtown. The bed was very comfortable too. The rooftop bar had really nice views and a really nice atmosphere. The bartender was really friendly and gave good service. The pool is right next to it on the roof and looked lovely, even having a lounge area with a TV and couches. I had breakfast in the lobby restaurant and the food was good. Our waiter was friendly and provided decent service although he was the only server working and the restaurant was busy. All of the staff at the hotel was very friendly and accommodating. I would absolutely come back here for another staycation in a heartbeat! If you're looking for really nice accommodations in a stylish setting, Hotel Saint Louis should be on your short list.

The hotel is absolutely gorgeous! From the lobby to the design of the rooms-the attention to detail is incredible. We had a corner suite that overlooked the stadium, with floor to window ceilings and a bathroom I could've lived in! There was a soaking tub inside the shower (with two nozzles), a TV in the mirror, and a heated toilet seat/bidet. All the creature comforts! There was also a record player inside the room, which we did not use. Why I deducted a star: we were excited to check out the roof top bar and were given an info paper upon check-in regarding the updated hours and such of all the amenities, and even verified with the gentleman at check in (he informed us we could scan the bar codes for menu/drinks at the sky bar). We left for a bit and returned to check out the roof top bar to get upstairs and find it was closed. When I called downstairs I was informed by a different gentleman that it is closed until New Years Eve-clearly all staff did not have that info to share at check in. So that was a bummer. Even though our room was amazing, it was pretty dusty, which I took care of with some Clorox wipes (because travel during Covid times). It probably had not been in use recently. However we did find a random pile of housekeeping linens/trash outside of our room the next day. FYI there is also no valet parking available currently. There is a parking deck across the street for $12. Also a little more time for breakfast in the mornings. They are definitely operating on a slim crew, and there was a gentleman that was hustling trying to care for everyone by himself.

The room was nicely decorated and comfortable. The bar in the evening had live music and a lively crowd. We ate breakfast in the dining room and it was a great. Would highly recommend this little gem!

Stopped in for a nightcap with the wife and sat at the bar. It was a slow night and I haven't been to this hotel and first time here I felt welcomed. The bartenders really treats their guest well and had some great conversations with them and other guests. I ordered the bourbon smash and loved it. I think I might make this place a good drinking spot. I will spend a night or two in a room to see how that fairs out but I'm sure it will be nice and checkout their pool on the roof!

Gorgeous renovated hotel near conference center. Every amenity you would want in a hotel stay! The bidet had a heated seat, obviously why wouldn't you? Tv screen in the bathroom mirror( seriously watching the news while getting ready) Bar downtowns along with restaurant and a roof top pool. It was very tasteful remodeled. My complaints come from the cleanliness of the room, very dirty. The floor was not vacuumed as the twist ties, rubber band, crumbs, and dirt indicated this. The bathroom was not wiped down, the doors and floor edging was piled of dust and the TV guide had teeth marks from someone biting it?! Our air conditioning did not stay cool, our phone didn't work, and after having two service techs help resolve these issues and couldn't @ 11pm we were offered to switch hotel rooms. By this time it was late, we had to head out early and needed sleep. After sweating all night in the cool 76 degree room went to make a cup of coffee only to have no coffee k- cups but there was a Keurig? The shelf the coffee maker was on had coffee split and sugar remnants from last guest. Discussed this experience with hotel Manager and complimentary breakfast was offered. The menu was incredible but coffee was burnt and undrinkable along with food, drinks coming out at random times(2 other tables seated this early Friday morning) as we requested the bill the toast came out... over all I would not ever stay her again not recommend this hotel to anyone I like. A spectacular downtown hotel. New and modern and sophisticated without being pretentious. Very accommodating and friendly staff Beautiful well-appointed luxurious room. Spectacular bathroom with a huge shower and tub. Bar and restaurant rooftop bar and pool (looks great but we were here in winter.) Plus complimentary breakfast (for one only unfortunately) Expensive parking garage across the street. Free street parking overnight. We did his with no problem but not particularly advise it Came back two years later. Still lovely. Not real crowded. Just a very elegant and easy hotel not too formal. Nice bar and restaurant. Full workout facilities. Heated outdoor pool. (Open but too cold outside) Saw several families with kids, individual business travelled, couples and a bunch of buddies.

For over $200/night, I would have expected much better experience here. Pros- the lobby is gorgeous and the bartender at the restaurant was a delight. The room was spacious and nicely decorated, the shower/tub combo, bidet, and the tv in the bathroom mirror were all quite luxurious. We enjoyed the cabinet with a small Keurig, room for snacks, and mini fridge. The king bed was very comfortable and the record player made for a nice touch. Cons - The couch cushions had some strange substance on them that scraped off, so it wasn't just a stain. Toilet paper was super cheap and scratchy. No microwave or large pot for hot water, just what could be made with a small Keurig. The large king suite was spacious, but I'd suggest looking into a junior suite with a balcony, which I assume would come with a nicer view. We faced the inside street with nothing but a graffitied parking garage out the window. The real issue we had was with guest service. We reserved a room for 2 people and toiletries were provided only for 1. When we called down to request extra toiletries and bedding, multiple times, the request was not fulfilled until we walked to the desk to ask in person. The Keurig in the room only produced lukewarm water, and the record player was missing the needle it needed to play. (Fortunately, the maintenance man who came in to swap out both was incredibly helpful and friendly, but it's a shame that he is the only representative of the hotel who was.) The hallway phone that was supposed to ring to the front desk did not connect to anyone - just made a loud screeching noise - so we had to go down to visit the desk to request (and two trips down later to *insist*) on a regular keycard when the app would not connect to unlock our door. This was after following all of their instructions for removing our phone cases and touching the phones to the lock pad. In the morning, we had planned our day around room service breakfast, but when we attempted to call and place an order, there was no answer for over 10 minutes. When we reached out to the front desk to let them know there was no room service answer, they simply said "transferring," and sent the call right back to the same number that rang and rang. We had to Door Dash breakfast, and the front desk insisted we had to come down to personally pick up the delivery. Altogether, I would not choose to spend my money at this hotel again.

I guess I wouldn't say good enough for 4 stars but not bad enough for 3 stars--let's call it 3.5? I'd give it more stars because the room is nice and bed VERY comfy. We loved the record player in the room! But I'm dinging it on service a bit. The valet guy was pretty rude on check-in, and the person at reception checking us in seemed a little dingy (but nice!). Check out couldn't have been different--the valet folks were SO NICE and reception guy polite. We did eat in their restaurant and it was DELICIOUS!

Staff was very helpful, very ecliptic hotel with lots a charm and small touches. Cool TV screen on the bathroom mirror, beds pretty comfortable and even a record player with records. Only concern was it was pretty dusty, needs a deep cleaning around base boards, behind nightstands and carpets around furniture.

Very nice hotel located close to all major places in St. Louis. You can walk to the Arch, and the Cardinal stadium. Blues stadium is a short Uber away. Excellent service. Breakfast at Union 30 restaurant was very good with lot of options. Ellis was a great guy working there making sure every customer was his close friend. Very nice place and we would definitely stay here again when in St. Louis.

Really nice ambiance to get away for a weekend. Staff was helpful as well. The menu options aren't vegetarian friendly.

Stopped here before the Cards/Cubs game tonight to sample my first "burger week" burger at Union 30. This restaurant & hotel are stunning. The food was delicious. I also met the daughter of the owner who gave us a tour of the roof top pool/bar and a history lesson about the building. I didn't want to leave. I felt so comfortable and the staff was friendly and inviting. I can not wait to go back!!

This review is for the spa and the lower bar/restaurant. I've gotten my hair cut/treated, a massage, and had dinner/drinks in the lower bar/restaurant. The entire staff is friendly and I have had great experiences each time. They offer complimentary valet for spa services, but I choose to park my car on my own. Overall, a really great experience. The people make the difference.

Do you want to get shot?!!! I drove up to this hotel and was scared. I love Autograph Collection properties, but skip this one like a rope! I wasn't staying here! The downtown area was covered with graffiti, vagrants everywhere, and I swear I could have scored some meth half a block away. I drove by the front, circled the block, pulled back up to the front door and told my spouse to lock the door while I go inside. I walked in and canceled my reservation. This was a beautiful property, but I wasn't even willing to have the valet park for me. You know there was a limited liability sign posted somewhere. I am not exaggerating. This was a rough looking area. There was even grafiti on the walkway between buildings. How'd someone manage that?!

Was here for a concert that the hotel booked last minute, and wasn't prepared for the amount of people that attended. The kitchen ran out of food, the bar had long lines and long waits. Then the management address the line of people (that was waiting over 30 minutes for a drink) very rudely. The jazz concert was nice, but the hotel was unprepared and understaffed.

My car was broken into directly in front of the hotel. The staff did nothing to assist me - they refused to let me talk to their security manager or see any camera footage. They did not assist me to find a window repair shop, or point me to a car wash where I could vacuum my glass out. I was the fourth car broken into in 3 days and their staff told me at least 5 of their employees had car break ins recently. The room was beautifully appointed, the staff was very friendly, and the building itself was lovely but located in a horrible area. All of the nearby businesses are shuttered and there was even a nearby restaurant with a sign saying it shut down in 2018 - still vacant. The high rise next to the Hotel St Louis is completely abandoned as well.

Stayed here while celebrating my wedding last month. The building it's self is so beautiful. The staff is great and super helpful. Room service was great as well, steak was perfectly cooked and the Famous Barr French onion soup was amazing. Breakfast buffet had lots of options (hot and grab and go options.) My daughter enjoyed the rooftop pool. The hotel is so close to Busch Stadium that we could hear the crowds and see the fireworks from the rooftop. There's a cabana that has a TV so we had the Cardinals game on while enjoying the pool. We will be coming back for a stay-vacation!

Wonderful experience with rooms cleaned to perfection. We were in the area for 3 weeks for a work trip and this hotel was a home away from home. Their bar area was warm and welcoming after a long day at work. The front desk staff were hospitable and the valet outside of the hotel was super friendly and spoke with everyone as they were his personal best friend. Amazing culture and spirit of the Marriott Signature experience. We will certainly be back to this gem when traveling in the St Louis area in the future. They were also very welcoming to our two tiny pups who also thoroughly enjoyed their time at the hotel. Checkin and out were a breeze!! Great job!

It is a beautiful space, but for the price, we were disappointed. The issues were numerous. Our room wasn't properly cleaned upon arrival; there was a gross used towel from the guest before us still hanging on the bathroom door and there were little black hairs on the floor (definitely not ours, we both have light hair). We called the front desk about removing the icky towel and they said they'd come replace it, but they never did. The fitted sheet on the bed kept popping off and we noticed that it was put on inside out. One of the coffee condiment packages was already partially opened and the shelf it was on was dusty. Once even one little thing is off with cleanliness, it makes one question if anything else wasn't properly cleaned. On a positive note, the pool was really cool, the dinner was delicious, and all interactions with the staff were pleasant. They went out of their way to accommodate us and were very friendly. Breakfast was also great but there was a tiny hair in it, too.

Incredible hotel. Rooftop heated pool was warm enough to my liking but stunning view and amazing lounge areas. Restaurant was SO GOOD. Everything we ate was amazing. Wings, wedge salad, grilled cheese, fries, French onion soup, Cobb salad (what we all ordered combined)...everyone was happy. Margaritas were also amazing. Rooms are STUNNING. So lovely. Definitely coming back!

Pro: -check in was quick and easy -staff was extremely welcoming and friendly -beautiful hotel, vintage elegance -parking structure was right across the street -on site restaurant was delicious -excellent service at roof top bar, great drinks -comfortable bed -beautiful bathroom with built in bidet to toilet Cons: -room was dirty, which I am not super picky about, but with COVID I would like to think that cleanliness would be of the upmost importance. The couch had food crumbs all over it, floor/rug in front of couch had food crumbs on it, carpet in bedroom had white substance dripped onto it (?candle wax). -when we booked the room, the photos showed it as having a walk-in shower with a tub also. Our room had no tub. Bummer. -we had the balcony room. Balcony wasn't quite what I had expected. It was a small welded aluminum balcony with threaded rods holding it to the building. Had a cool view but was too nervous to go on it. Would have preferred concrete. -balcony door would not close, kept coming open. Lock did not work. All in all I would recommend this hotel. Would just like to see a little more care put into the cleaning.

This is probably my favorite hotel I've ever stayed in. I'll review it separate from their restaurant because that wasn't the best, in their defense it was a month after opening and their first BIG weekend (Garth Brooks). The rooms were gorgeous and perfectly decorated. I love the record player and that the mini bar is stocked with unique and local treats. Rooms were very clean and loved the heated toilet seats (why aren't these standard in America? What do we have against bums here?). Service at the first desk was prompt and friendly even though we arrived well after midnight. Lobby and elevators are beyond gorgeous. I love that they maintained all the gorgeous woodworking and stained glass. It was perfectly located if you are attending a concert and an easy walk to the touristy places like the arch. Highly recommend if you are staying in the area

Our family had four rooms booked here four months in advance. A few days before we were to arrive one family in our group got a call that their reservation was cancelled due to overbooking. This caused our entire group to cancel and book at another location as our goal was to stay together. Extremely irritating that we planned far in advance and got screwed the week of. I was looking forward to staying here and instead got stuck at a less nice, less convenient hotel, and paying more! Fingers crossed they don't randomly cancel your reservation if you try to stay here.

I wasn't sure why I had never heard of this hotel having frequented the area for many years when younger. I learned upon arrival that it had just crossed the one year mark. We stayed in the presidential suite and it was more than we could have hoped for! The record player was a great touch! Balcony with great views! The rooftop bar was fun. Not to crowded I'm sure with the pool summer may be a bit busier. I would recommend this to anyone and we will be returning soon!

I stayed in St. Louis for 2 weeks for work, and I'm happy I stayed at Hotel St. Louis! They made me feel at home from the get-go! Room service was excellent, anything I needed they worked right away for me to have it, and I enjoyed having conversations with the staff every day I was there! I would love to stay at Hotel St. Louis again next time I have to visit St. Louis! Special thanks to Crystal and Drummond for being so friendly, providing helpful information at the front desk, and making my stay even more enjoyable! I don't remember everyone's names, because I took too long to write this review, but the valet staff was amazing, the door people were impeccable, and most of the restaurant staff was very pleasant too!

Hotel St. Louis is a beautiful hotel. The renovation is astonishing. I've been to Hotel St. louis many times. I enjoy staying at the hotel and Form Sky Bar. I went to Hotel St. Louis with the intentions of going to Form Sky Bar. However, the bar was closed for a special event. I decided to stop at the downstairs bar to have a drink before I left. The bartender that served us was Cameron. I requested an old fashion. He asked did I want single barrel or double barrel. I said double. The bartender (Cameron) made that drinks on the other side of the bar. The bartender did not make the drink in front of me. Honestly, I don't know what sort of whiskey he poured. I personally don't like when a bartender doesn't make my drink in front of me. Cameron served us the drink and brought a bill of $49 for two drinks. I said is this correct. He said yes. I said Ok. Personally I've never paid $49 for two old fashions. To say the least I will not be having drinks at the bar on the first level ever again. However, I will continue to patronize Form Sky Bar.

This may be my favorite hotel I've ever stayed in. Boyfriend and I did a little stay-cation for our anniversary and I cannot say enough good things about this place. They did an amazing job renovating! There's a bidet with heated seat, tv in the bathroom mirror, and bathtub inside the very huge shower. From the comfort of the bed to the kindness of the staff it was an incredible stay. The rooftop bar is so nice for some late night cocktails with TVs, great view, and friendly bartenders! Will definitely be staying here again!

This hotel is glorious. I was able to get a corner on the 9th floor. Although I didn't really get a new view but the interior is amazing. The mirror in the bathroom has a TV embedded in it and the room is super spacious. The staff at the hotel is so nice and friendly. I went during the holiday, and it was so well decorated. The only downside is that the gym is not very big.

Went to the spa for service and the ambiance in the lobby is superb. Nice and quiet every time I've come in. Apparently they have a breakfast buffet that smells divine. Spa services are extensive and well worth it. You didn't hear this from me but check out Groupon for spa services before you try it, it'll be worth your while.

I stayed here with my boyfriend for a wedding we were attending in St Louis. The hotel was extremely nice and the atmosphere was very welcoming. The room we had was beautiful and even had a tv in the mirror in the bathroom - pretty cool. We also at lunch down in the dining area which I enjoyed. The service was fairly quick and they had good vegetarian options on the menu. I opted to order the bruschetta with tomatoes, balsamic glaze, mozzarella and toasted bread. It took a bit to come out but was worth the wait. Make sure to lock your hotel door with the deadbolt lock we had housekeeping try to come into our room even when we had the do not disturb sign on which woke us up and is why I'm taking off a star for the review. When we called down to inquire the hotel comped points on the Marriott account but it was still an inconvenience.
