Morioka Shoten Ginza

The concept of this Shoten is very unique. I love the way they choose to sell only one book a week. They also installing there space to match with the book they chose. When i was there, they were having a very cool book…which is not one, it was a photographs and aroma. The owner said that this time is to reading the aroma. What a new concept of reading haha I just love it here, if i live in Tokyo, I’ll definitely come back here every single week ;)

Sadly it closed for good at my visit.

Nicely laid-out bookshop and friendly staff. Not a very wide selection of books though.

Such a lovely place with a great vibe and concept worth admiring - one book edition sold and rotated weekly. But what is special about this one-room bookstore is that it changes accordingly, making it a truly concept bookstore and a literature and art hub.

１冊の本を売る銀座の小さな書店。 『銀座で一番小さな書店』というタイトルに惹かれて読んだ文庫本で、この小さな本屋さんが生まれた背景を知り、銀座に行ったら一度足を運んでみたいと思っていました。 それで、2025年2月16日、日曜日の午後に初めて訪問してみました。 その日は、岡山県の倉敷を拠点とするデニムブランドKAPITALの絵本ジーンズ『Guiding Light』が展示されていました。このブランドのジーンズが好きな方には買って穿いてみたくなるオリジナルなジーンズだと思いましたが、残念ながら小さな私には無理な感じ。簡単に説明を伺って、すぐにお店を後にしました。 また今度来る時には、素敵な本と出逢えるといいなと思いました。
