"A’jia Istanbul’s heart, the Bosporus Strait, snakes through the metropolis and splits Asia from Europe. Away from the central city hubbub, A’jia is tucked into the upper Bosporus shoreline with panoramic views across this watery highway. Guests staying here dip their toes into a waterfront world once reserved as a summer haunt for the sultan’s family and high-ranking members of the Ottoman court. Built in 1897, this yalı (waterfront mansion) was home to Ahmet Rasim Pasha, the Ottoman governor of Tripoli. The painstaking conversion in 2005 preserved the bones of the original, ornately flourished architectural style while transforming the interiors into spaces designed with a white-on-white palette that draw guests’ eyes directly to the stunning Bosporus. High-ceilinged rooms are flooded with light and dominated by oversized beds with Italian linens. Bathrooms are outfitted with Philippe Starck fixtures and fragrant bath products by Acqua di Parma that encourage long soaks in bathtubs with a view."

sixth, The first night we wanted to have our dinner at their restaurant, but there was a film shooting in the restaurant, so they said they could serve us in the room, but in the checkout they charged us for a room service charge for that night, although the service happened to be in the room because of them.. Seventh, When we checked out, they wanted to cheat on us.. The supervisor started to bring papers and started to hit the calculator with numbers. After 5 minutes, he said the amount is calculated, and you can now pay an amount of more 23000 turkish lira. I was shocked. He wanted us to pay without issuing any invoice for us to review. He was expecting us to pay blindly. I asked him for a detailed invoice , he started to recalculate again the numbers, and printed the invoice, we went through invoice item by item, it was not easy cause it was in tutkish langage, so he have to translate verbaly, I was shocked to see that he charged us four times for additional family guest who joined us for only two nights only, for a 100 euros per night,, he made it 4 nights, so he wanted to cheat on us for 200 euros, this was very intentional, when we picked it he then fixed the invoice scillently with the right amount.. Eight, The invoice was in Turkish language intentionally, so we don't know what we are paying for. Ì asked him for an English version or translated one, he said we don't used English, I answered him that this is a 5 stars hotel receiving guest form different countries, he said rudely no, it's only for turkish people, Having explauned the above I don't recommend this hotel for non turkish, actually the hotel was almost empty. Although the location is zero to the sea but there are many many options with better prices and services..noting that they charged us more the 1600 UAE..per night, that equals almost 440 USD per night..it was completely not worth it.

It was a very bad experience. They ruined God's giving gift of nice weather, sea, and birds, by their bad service.. They spoiled the experience. The following incidencies will substanciate the above conclusion First, the first impression was the rudeness of the staff at the counter. They don't greet the guests, as if we are coming to their own home without their permission, with the exception of a young helpful staff that we saw in the first two days, Second, the room we booked was spacious with two similar chairs in front of the bed and facing the tv, with an unentrupted sea view, terrace. They tried to play around and test our reaction by bringing us to a very small tiny room, where the bed is very close to the terrace and no chairs, I told them this is not the room we booked, they showed us another room, which again was not the room that we booked, it was a little bit bigger but with interrupted view, then they showed us a third room that was still not the same room, but we accepted it cause we were tired. Third, the room was not equipped with the coffee and tea making station, and they were very reluctant when we were asking for boiled water. The room was not furnished with a stand for the bags, so we put our bags by ourselves on the TV stand. Also, the room didn't have access to USP charging points.. Fourth, the breakfast is uniformed. They provide the same food every day in a tray, but the portions and the cutting and the freshness of the chease pastry and the sausages are not consistant, some times they cut it in very tiny pieces, some times they are smelly and dry, and the sausages were not complete piecse, as if they are leftovers from other guests, One day, we asked for boiling water, and they brought unclean water. It had a clear trace of tea, and the water was brown. So we had doubts about the staff and their honesty in serving a fresh, clean, and untouched food, because they use to prepare the tray behind the seen, so we decided in the last days to take our breakfast in the restaurants nearby the area. Fifth, We hired a rent a car, and in the beginning, the supervisor staff told us that they have valet parking service, but on the fourth or fifth day, another staff member said that we have to pay 450 turkish lira for each day. Of course, we refused to pay cause this charge needed to be mentioned to us from the first day, we said also that this is a 5 stars hotel, and the parking service is supposed to be included. After that, they stopped the service, and every time we came back to the hotel, they were watching us searching for parking carrying our stuff, but nobody was offering any help. sixth,

We recently had the pleasure of hosting our wedding at Ajia and I cannot recommend this place highly enough! The food was exceptional—every dish was beautifully prepared and received rave reviews from all our guests. The service was outstanding as well. Nuse, the hotel manager, was incredibly supportive and professional throughout the entire planning process and on the day of the event. She was always punctual, ensuring that everything ran smoothly and on time. Her attention to detail and commitment to making our day special truly made a difference. Overall, Ajia exceeded our expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful and accommodating wedding venue!

We celebrated our wedding day at the stunning A’jia Hotel, a venue that offers breathtaking views of the sea and provided an unforgettable experience for us and the guests. Nuse, the hotel manager, played an invaluable role in making our special day perfect. Her genuine support, expert advice, and honest guidance helped us making challenging decisions with ease. Not only was she there for us throughout the planning process, but her presence on the day itself ensured everything ran smoothly, guaranteeing top-quality service from start to finish. All in all, we had a great and dream wedding at this amazing venue!

Fantastic location with stunning views of the Bosphorus. We were delighted with our balcony room and the spacious, immaculate bathroom. The daily Turkish breakfast right next to the waters of the strait was excellent and featured the famous local yoghurt from Kanlica. We tried the hotel restaurant once and were impressed with the kofte. Lots of great and affordable food is available nearby within a short walk. Do note that yachts going by can blare noisy music in the evenings but the mood otherwise is idyllic and the service excellent. The hotel arranged a very professional and honest taxi driver to take us to airport.

It should definitely be reopened for daily services. Whenever we go, there is a celebration for foreigners or jet-sets. Gorgeous view. It was one of our favorite places as a team. However, if you want to drink coffee and experience the scenery during the event seasons, it is not possible without establishing enough intimacy. Services are great.

Thank you for a dream wedding! Our son got married in Ajia, in August 2023. We also booked the rooms for the night. The wedding reception was perfect in an iconic background. Food was incredible. Many of our guests particularly complimented us on the quality of the food. It was a multinational list of guests with an Italian bride, and they were all very happy. Service was very good, all the hotel staff very helpful. From the first day of our contact, Nuşe Alpaslan was extremely helpful. She gave us excellent advice and was there during the whole event, making sure that everything went well. Thank you!
