This restaurant is one of the few in Vancouver that has a very fun with lots of science aspects or popular themes. They use things such as dry ice, smoke all the way to themes like Winnie the Pooh or other lovable characters. The high-tea is a beautiful idea with the cute themes and on the weekend there is a harpist but unfortunately the restaurant is in the middle of a very popular hotel lobby. This is where I would opt to go into their winterlust domes as it is the highlight of the season. They are warm and private domes where you can even choose your own music via your private speaker accessible through bluetooth. It has the holiday cozy theme with even fake snow sprinkling sporadically outside! The servers are friendly, informative and have great suggestions for menu items. I'm a fan of seafood so I go for the fresh oysters and the seafood pasta which is packed with prawns and a bunch of other shellfish! The quality of ingredients is high and the chef really cares about the food that they put out in a unique and beautifully presented manner. Care, quality and creativity are the H Tasting Lounge's top qualities for sure!

What a wonderful and special experience! I'm reviewing for their Winnie the Pooh High Tea. Reservations highly recommended. At the time, I was 16 weeks pregnant and the manager and staff were all so accommodating, this made the entire tea experience so special! My husband and I were also celebrating our 5 year wedding anniversary. The attention to detail (the menus, the decor, live harp music, food, and ambiance were so nice). This was such a cute high tea theme and we loved it!

Came to experience the winter domes (like clear igloos). They gave wonderful holiday decor and lights, blankets and a heater above. There was faux snow periodically (not often enough) made of foam soap! The food was pretty good, the drinks were better. It is a great experience all together. And if you wanted to do a fun thing with children, they were also doing Winnie the Pooh inspired tea and desserts you could book as a whole experience. The service in the domes always a little slow, but I'd go again regardless of that and show some more people the domes! There was a minimum spend and reservations needed on Tock.

My husband and I went to their winter lust domes to celebrate our anniversary and loved the thoughtfulness they decorated and designed the domes with (music that can be changed, blankets, heater that can be adjusted). The servers were amazing and anticipated my needs before I even asked. They had an interesting holiday drink menu that you should definitely explore if you're there. Food was great - I particularly loved the squid ink pasta.

We had dinner here twice during our stay. Great location with indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the marina. The menu and wine list are both compact, but they have all the bases covered. We particularly enjoyed the edamame, smoked duck banh mi, seafood tower, and french fries. The service both times was excellent.

The food is really good but I'm not sure why I had to wait two hours for it. I do come in a large group of seven people though. The fish is flaky and flavorful. Every part of the dish complements the fish. My plate is completely clean when I finish. Since we waited a while, we do receive a complimentary cotton candy, which we appreciate.

Magical. Magnificent. Marvelous. We came to experience the Winterlust and was completely blown away by the whole experience of dining in Domes. It was decorated so beautifully with Christmas ornaments complete with heaters, throws, blanket and music. It felt like we're eating outdoors but we're indoors at the same time. Service was excellent as they bring each dish into our dome. Luckily it wasn't raining but I wonder how they'd keep food from the rain as they bring the dishes from the kitchen into the domes. We started with the BURRATA, ALBACORE TUNA and moved on to CHILLED SEAFOOD TOWER for 4 - from oysters, mussels, clams and huge shrimps to dips. Everything was fresh and portion was huge. We also had the CERTIFIED ANGUS BEEF TOMAHAWK - it was delightful how they prepared this in front of us. SEAFOOD 'NDUJA BUCATINI PASTA, a simple pasta dish yet very delicious. DOUGHNUTS & COTTON CANDY and CALAMANSI TART rounded the night. The cotton candy definitely added enchantment to the perfect night.

Went in for anniversary drinks. It was a great experience. The waitress was incredibly kind and we had a lovely time. The door was open to the outside and that actually created a feeling to the outdoors that really added to the ambience.

Fantastic cocktail bar and in our hotel! Loved the food, great cocktail menu, and gorgeous space. Inside and outdoor patio seating, just inside the hotel lobby. There's also a great happy hour menu! The staff was all so friendly, a must do if in the area.

I recently visited H Tasting Lounge for Holiday Afternoon Tea, marking my return to this delightful tradition after a few years. The Festive Afternoon Tea immediately caught my eye due to its fancy presentation, featuring a Ferris wheel on the table and even cotton candy. It turned out to be one of the best afternoon tea experiences I've had. I opted for the 'Dance of Sugar Plum Fairy' tea, while my friend chose the 'Cascadian Peppermint' tea--both of which were special holiday selections Festive Afternoon tea menu At the beginning, the server brought out cotton candy accompanied by treats such as gingerbread madeleine and dark chocolate peppermint bark. I particularly enjoyed the impressive presentation of the large cotton candy, and the madeleine was not only delicious but also had a soft and moist texture. Following that, the Ferris wheel arrived, with a lot of festive treats. The stollen scones revealed a marzipan surprise inside, the Christmas cupcake resembled a Christmas tree with its delightful cream cheese frosting, and the charcoal cream puff featured a pistachio cassis filling. My personal favorite was the dark Valrhona chocolate mousse with a luscious red glaze. I also found the Chestnut Panna Cotta to be exceptionally delicious. Now, onto the savory items. The cured smoked steelhead with cream cheese on top of a cracker was truly enjoyable. The smoked confit turkey leg brioche bread sandwich was excellent, and the smoked Granville Island ham with bacon jam sandwich was quite tasty. Additionally, the miso-infused maple-roasted yam with 12-grain bread was a very interesting and flavorful item. The ambience was incredibly festive with a Christmas tree, a lady playing the harp, and numerous Christmas decorations. The overall experience of the festive afternoon tea was delightful. I look forward to returning next year or trying another themed afternoon tea at this restaurant.

It's a bar and if you are staying at the hotel (like myself) and don't feel like going anywhere- give it a shot. But this place is definitely nothing special to come here from across town. Just a fancier hotel bar

H Tasting Lounge is the perfect spot for patio season in Vancouver. Overlooking the water with fires and outdoor heaters, it's cozy and warm. Service was great. Friendly and fast. We loved the calamari and seafood pasta. Highly recommend.

We celebrated a birthday with a wonderful group of friends at H Tasting Lounge in an impressive Winterlust Dome outside on their decorated winter themed patio. Reservations are available for up to 6 people which worked out perfectly for our party. We were able to enjoy ourselves and not worry about disturbing others since the dome is somewhat sound proof with house music playing through an amazing system. Although the dome outshined the food and drinks, the night ended with the most enchanting surprise dessert for the birthday boy. A shot of alcohol was lit on fire and poured over cotton candy revealing a delicious strawberry cheesecake. It was the perfect ending to the dome dining experience.

Came for the winter snowglobe experience and LOVED it! We had 2.5 hours in the snowglobe reserved. It was a bit difficult to hit our minimum to be honest, but most dishes were really good! The drinks were ok. Standouts for us were the seafood pasta and the pistachio dessert!

There's quite the holiday ambience at H Tasting Lounge with the Christmas tree, dim lights and lounge chair seating. They are also offering a Winterlust outdoor dome dining experience for those who want a even more elevated experience! Overall the restaurant has a beautiful setting and food was just as beautiful as the restaurant itself with detailed plating. We ordered the Seafood Chowder + Albacore Tuna + Grilled Octopus + Seafood 'Ndjuda Bucatini Pasta + Grass Fed Tenderloin Steak . The bucatini pasta was a favourite with plenty of flavour and love that they used bucatini pasta - it just soaks up extra sauces in those tiny little straw hole. Only improvement I would recommend is the dishes could be a lot hotter when served. We found dishes were warm in temperature upon arrival so may have been sitting out for a bit before being served. But it could had been because it was a busy season for them so getting all the dishes quickly enough is always a challenge during this time of year.

Bite sized food was divine with their ham and cheese finger sandwich and deviled eggs for the win. Dessert wise the Eton mess, was excellent. Very elegant high tea served on a Ferris wheel with cotton candy on the side. Great for celebrations especially with a live harp player in the background.

I've had the pleasure of enjoying meals in the domes twice! Such a wonderful experience and more intimate setting to spend with family. It's a great way to go with a group to try a bunch of different food. Their happy hour menu is really good, great options. Service is always wonderful, kind, attentive. Looking forward to going again!

Today my family and I enjoyed lunch in a dome on the waterfront at the Westin Bayshore Hotel. We didn't know what to expect as we'd never been there before, but I wanted something festive and special for my daughter and granddaughter this holiday season, and the dome was it. Everything about it was absolutely first class. We loved the privacy of the dome, where we could play our own music on the sound system and there were no noisy neighbours at the next table. For lunch week days there is a minimum spend of $150, which wouldn't be hard to meet with three of us. Our orders were smash burger with fries ($24), steak frites with a small salad ($35) cauliflower steak with lentils, roasted carrots, squash and various other veggies ($28), and truffle fries ($13). 750ml bottles San Pellegrino sparkling and Evian still water were $8 each. The only rather underwhelming item was the cauliflower steak. It was basically a big chunk of undercooked cauliflower. The diner expected it to be perhaps glazed and caramelized after a long, slow grilling, but it was not that all all. It looked raw, it was hard, and disappointing. When the server, Emily (more about her later) asked how everything was, the vegan in the room was honest and said her meal was disappointing as it just seemed like a hunk of raw cauliflower. She offered to take it back and get a redo, and did. It was somewhat improved, a little softer, more sauce on it, but still disappointing. "I would not order this again," she said, and I was sorry that one of us did not completely enjoy her meal. The fries all around were absolutely delicious, crisp on the outside, fluffy inside, the way they should be. The burger was huge (two patties) with REAL cheese, tomato, lettuce, etc. Came with a pile of fries and the diner was happy and could not eat it all. The steak portion was small (5 oz.), but very tender and tasty. Again, gorgeous fries that stayed crisp. It came with a red wine peppercorn jus that was a lovely addition to the plate. Even the little side salad of arugula and frisee was tasty. No complaints there. For dessert we had to try the freshly made sugar donuts (6) with a cotton candy cloud, whipped cream, honey drizzle and fresh berries $19. This was a fun and delicious ending to the meal, and was shared easily between the three of us. Perhaps the best part of the whole experience was our server, Emily, who was hospitality personified. We all felt she did absolutely everything she could to make sure we felt welcomed and taken care of. While we sit comfortably in our little private dome, the servers have to brave the elements and slippery patios to go back and forth, indoors/outdoors, to take care of their guests. It's winter out there! But that didn't stop Emily from being friendly, attentive and taking care of our every need. We never once had to wonder where she was or feel abandoned. Emily was on the job, and with a smile on her face. When she brought the bill she pointed out that we hadn't yet met the $150 quota (which really surprised me) and suggested we might order something else to make up the $16 difference (if we wanted to). We decided we may as well have another order of the donuts/cotton candy scenario to take out and enjoy later. This was soon brought in a Westin shopping bag, the donuts boxed and the cotton candy separate in a large Ziploc bag. We were never rushed out, as each dome seating is allotted 2.5 hours. We could have stayed longer but left at 2:00 to get a taxi home in the grey drizzle. We are already talking about when we can enjoy the Bayshore's dome experience again. It ends for the season around Mother's Day, to make way for summer patio dining. I recommend the Dome experience 5/5, and if you're lucky enough to get Emily as your server, she cranks the rating up to 11. Fabulous!

Mel was our server and made our night!!! He was amazing. Legit some of the best service I've had in Vancouver, he was genuinely warm, knowledgeable and hospitable. We had such a splendid time at H Tasting Lounge 's "Let Them Eat Cake!" Afternoon Tea. Where to even begin?  Food was excellent. The kitchen was very good about accommodating my Pescatarian diet. For the one sandwich that was supposed to have ham in it, they sent a sandwich that had bell pepper in it and it was delightful. Next to any other Afternoon Tea that I've ever had, (I've had quite a few over the years) the presentation was unparalleled. We were a party of 4 and most of the food was served to us on a spinning ferris wheel. The fourth person's food arrived in what looked like a red jewelry box, fit for royalty. Then there was the cotton candy, hanging from a little tree stand. Ferris wheel and Cotton Candy at an Afternoon Tea? Ferris wheel + Cotton Candy = perfect recipe for an afternoon of fun! Oh...did I mention the harpist who was playing the old Spiderman theme song on her harp?! "Spiderman, Spiderman. Does whatever a spider can." Yes...that's the song I'm referring to. Imagine that if you can...being played on a harp! Our picky eater had such a lovely time. She even learned to appreciate Earl Grey Tea even though she's never been much of a tea drinker over the years. Now, ever since our Afternoon Tea at H Tasting Lounge , she's been wanting Earl Grey Tea with her breakfast every weekend!  Service: Good Parking: Free parking in covered parking lot across from the hotel. This review is for the dome experience. My friends and I went on a weekday for lunch. We only ordered drinks and bread, because we were visiting Vancouver with a pretty ambitious food itinerary, so we had food before and after our reservation. I was a huge fan of the decor: heated dome, cozy pillows and blankets, Spotify set up with multiple suggested playlists (or play your own$, sliding door to maintain warmth/privacy. We also loved our server, Judy -- she kept it real with her suggestions (what's tasty? What's best for the social media photos?) and was completely supportive of our "liquid lunch"! What I wasn't a fan of: the drinks. Most of them were not very tasty; it took me 3-4 different drinks to find something I really liked, and that was only because my friend took one of the virgin cocktails and added a shot of vodka to it. I'm normally not THAT picky and can easily find an enjoyable cocktail. Another major issue was that the drinks are pre made, so we couldn't make any adjustments (for example, sub gin with vodka, take out an ingredient that we're allergic to, etc). It was highly disappointing, given that the prices of the drinks are comparable to those of a cocktail bar, yet the drinks were significantly worse. Our one custom endeavor (the aforementioned addition of vodka to a virgin drink) was an extra $9 CAD -- while tastier than the rest, not too much vodka and took quite a bit of time to prepare. You basically pay for the ambience and the social media experience, but don't get much quality in return. Logistics: - parking in the lot across the way is free. The valet told me it was $8, even after I had told him that we had a reservation at H tasting lounge. I asked again and someone else had to assist and told me that you just have to register your plates with the hostess upon check-in - you get your $100 deposit after you show up to your reservation. I got it back within the day. It's a separate transaction from your final check at the reatau

I would personally give this place a 4 1/2 star rating. We made reservations, but we came in a little earlier than anticipated. We cancelled the happy hour reservation and had lunch. There are time limits on your table reservation. It was nicely decorated and I enjoyed the fireplace. Our server was excellent, I asked her about a particular margarita I wanted and she gave the bartender the necessary information to make it. When I came the next day she even remembered my drink. We had truffle fries, wings, chips and onion dip, tea Brussel sprouts and spirt and spirit free drinks. It is a really cute restaurant, service, food and price point are on point. Totally worth the visit.

Let Them Eat Cake! Yes, please!!! We were celebrating my girl friends belated birthday. $65 per person, was charged at reservation, with 18% gratuities. So you wont get a bill at the end. Lovely setting with violinist and harpist playing in the background. The room is nice, bright, and elegant. The service was lovely. Lots of option for tea. I choose 1875 Keemun. Food was very good. Scone with jam and cream was divine. The smoke salmon and caviar was yummy. All sweet and savory mini sandwiches were great. We loved the cotton candy. Overall, we enjoyed this afternoon tea. A little on the higher end but a great treat.

Very unique and innovative drinks! Food was delicious too. Service was also top-notch. I loved the cozy heated patio. Love their overall attention to detail (food, drinks & staff). Fun show-stopping drinks, and I'd definitely recommend the scallop linguine & seafood tower. Seafood Tower ($99) - super massive, lots of variety. Comes with snow crab, large prawns, mussels, clams, oysters, tuna tataki, spot prawns, scallop ceviche and more. 3 layers in the ower. Parasol ($18) - pour your own bottle into this drink. Seared Scallop Linguine ($32) 10/10 love this. Pesto flavour. Scallop was perfectly seared, and super juicy - not dry at all! Highly recommend this dish. Evening-Ban ($35) - interesting drink with a dry ice. Showstopper! Kap Khun Ka ($22)- has gold flakes on top. Boujie. White Rabbit Hangover Cure ($25) - pretty sweet. Vodka-base I think. Korean Medicine ($15) - served w/ kimchi?! Super interesting. Land and Sea ($82) - the only miss from this entire meal. Steak was a bit dry. Comes with this gravy sauce thing

Came for happy hour and stayed for several drinks not listed on the happy hour menu. The daiquiri was so refreshing and the most worth it drink at only $7! The drinks on their regular menu are so whimsical and fun! Highly recommend the viet coffee cocktail - it tasted like a caramel frappe and comes with a little hammer for you to break the caramel on top. You get 4 free hours of parking, so you can walk around the area afterwards! Great deal since parking can be pricey in this neighborhood!

Great atmosphere and yummy tapas! If you are looking for nice night cap, this is a cute place. The customer service was 5 starts!

Was visiting Vancouver and was lucky enough to snag a reservation and eat here for lunch! PRO TIP: come during their happy hour!! Had to meet a $200 minimum (I forget) and especially if you come with a bigger group your money can go further!! The dome itself has its own speakers and sound system that you can control & plug your phone into. It also has an AC unit and you can blast the heater or the AC!! The dome completely closes so you feel like you're in your own bubble, literally. The food and drinks were solid with great presentation. We got the large seafood platter and i thought it was perfect for two, even though it says 3-4 people. The seafood wasn't as fresh as you'd think for the price :( Waiters do their best to attend to your party but I can see how it's a bit hard to see you trying to call them over! Overall I think it's a great special occasion lunch spot.

This is primarily a review of their bar. The bartenders are stellar--very knowledgeable, friendly, and they will steer you in the right direction whether you want a glass of wine or a zero proof cocktail or anything else. They hustle and work hard! In spite of how busy they are, they provide consistently quality service. I am taking a star off because the hosts are consistently hopeless (this is over six visits). They are never around when someone wants a table (I watched the bar staff try to nicely help people who had been waiting for a while for a table, and wandered into the bar for help). They sent a lady with two small children to the bar to place a to-go order and apparently it's a no no for kids to be at the bar , so again the hosts were creating more work for the bar staff as they have to find a place for the family. And finally, I showed up with someone else to have a drink tonight. They offered us the waitlist or we could sit at separate places at the bar. I understand that seating people at a busy lounge might be tough but come on, be sensible or at least present/coherent at your job. Why would you seat two people at opposite sides of the bar when they came in together? This totally reflects poorly on the Westin venue brand. So if you can shake off the annoyance of the hostess gauntlet at the lounge entrance, it has the potential to be a nice venue for you.

Drinks - from top left: Yuzu Spritz, Like Basically (vodka based), Strawby Milk (gin & rum, tastes like Yakult), Leche de Bebes (hojicha oat milk), and a Vodka Buck (alternative name for moscow mule). Food: crispy Brussels sprouts are always a hit, but we really enjoyed the tomahawk steak (10/10!) The HTL Cioppino was ok, and the lobster & prosciutto sandwich was good and didn't need the tomato soup. Not pictured (so good that we devoured it) was the Scallop & Prawn Kinilaw (10/10) Also not pictured was the cotton candy tree. Super fun. What we enjoyed the most was the ambiance, we got our own "pod" outdoors, it had a heater so we were kept warm & toasty. And it had music we can choose to play our own.

H Tasting Lounge - Vancouver Tasty food served in a very creative way! Normally we drink very little, but the cocktails were so unique we had to get more! Shrimp and Pork Dumplings - 8/10 Sourdough bread with balsamic vinegar and an Olive Oil candle - 7/10 Fried Prawn and Crab toast - 10/10 Nitro Bird - 10/10 - tasted very much like a Mai Thai but much more intense flavours Safe Escape - 8.5/10 - mango and coconut in a tiki head Fruiteria - 8.5/10 - Cachaça and guava with a flamed corn husk - very smoky with a Tajin flavoured candy Like, Basically - 8/10 - Elderflower, Chambord, and strawberry HTL Smash Burger - 9.5/10 - excellent ingredients and everything worked together Enchanted Forest - 8/10 - chocolate mousse with raspberry sauce and matcha "moss" Cà Phê Culture - 6/10 - Vietnamese coffee (which I love), vodka, brandy, cherry liqueur. Great in concept, but very sweet and a bit syrupy Taste - 7.3/10 Plating - 10/10 Ambiance - 9.5/10 Overall - 8.9/10

This review is for the Secret Garden Dome Experience at H Tasting Lounge. I have nothing but great things to say. There were 5 domes (can fit up to 6 people) and they all came equipped with a heater, Bose speaker, and iPad. There were Spotify playlists queued up so you could choose the music you wanted. We had a dedicated server who was super attentive and the menu had lots of options, something for everyone. Just a note, although it can accommodate 6 people, I'd recommend no more than 4 people just so everyone has room to eat and be comfy. I highly recommend this experience!!!

For my wifes birthday, we decided to splurge a bit and try the winterlust domes. They only have 5, and they are all heated with a heavy glass door to protect you from the elements. Each one has a personalized Ipad/tablet for you to control and play whatever music your heart desires. You have to pre-book online and pre- pay a minimum consumable fee. Lets start with the service, it was impeccable! Our server went above and beyond and made sure we had all we need. Zero complaints there. Always made sure we had water and napkins, and even changed our plates and cutlery after the initial wave of appys. Now unto the food... We started with 3 appys...lobster roll with chips sprinkled with seaweed for that umami taste. Salmon poke on seaweed. And the ever famous seafood tower with snow crab legs, scallop and shrimp ceviche, clams, blow torched oysters, and tiger shrimp cocktails. The lobster roll was really good. Very generous servings of real lobster and not the caned variety. The chips were just ordinary. I could not taste the umaminess And worse of all, they were served cold. The salmon poke was excellent. Very fresh and healthy. Salmon wasnt frozen and the seaweed gave the dish a very nice saltiness contrast. The seafood tower however, was exceptional! Each and every seafood offering was so fresh, as if it was just caught. No fishy smell. It was the seas finest bounty. Each layer and morsel was handled delicately and turned into a masterpiece. Their coconut scallop and shrimp ceviche was probably the best i have ever had in Vancouver. The tiger shrimps were very plump and juicy, the clams, scallops, oysters and mussels all so good. Only problem was, i believe it was a bit overpriced for the qty you get. They couldve added more to add more value. For mains we had the wild mushroom gemelli with salmon, sable fish, fish tacos, and the steak. The wild mushroom gemelli was another winner. Pasta perfectly cooked and the salmon portion was huge. Skin nicely charred and the meat juicy and moist. The steak was just average. A bit under temperature when served but cooked perfectly as desired. The best fish for mains for me was the sable fish. The from the presentation to the taste, it was amazing! Fish was cooked perfectly, inside still hot and the flesh was succulent and not dry. Very good execution. The worse dish by far were the fish tacos. Not only was such a dish out of place on the menu, but the tacos themselves were bland. The tortilla was cold. As if it just came from a pack. Not toasted nor seasoned with a garlic spread Or something. The fish, not crispy and a bit soggy. Tasted bland and under seasoned as well. No side dish or even a lemon or like wedge or any kind of sauce. Even the stems of the coriander was still present on top of the dish, as you can see on the pic. Whoever manned this station was clearly not paying attention or didnt care how the dish went out. If not for the freshness of the other offerings, would've been a 3 star review. Totally out of place on the menu and in such a fine establishment coming from the Westin! I was utterly shocked to see bar food on the winterlust menu. For dessert, they surprised my wife with a slice of the classic birthday cake and their signature cotton candy. Very good surprise and a nice touch coming from the establishment. Again, for going above and beyond ...4 stars. Hopefully they will lower the minimum purchase price in the near future. It is simply too much food for a family of 4. For 6 yes, but not 4. Also, would be nice to upgrade the menu and offer more elaborate dishes like lamb, or wagyu, or ribeye steaks, anything to add more value and weight, instead of fish tacos. This review is for the dinner at the Winterlust dome experience at H Tasting Lounge. This entire experience was truly phenomenal. From the adjustable heated glass domes with spotify playlist alongside an outdoor fireplace, to the incredible food, which was just over the top, as well as the attentive service, and the lovely company. We ordered quite a few things. Some of which weren't pictured. But I'll provide comments to my favourites: Truffle fries were amazing. Crispy and the sauce(s) were amazing too. Cronuts were incredible (part of the dessert platter). I cannot even describe the level of amazing. It felt like a cross between a donut, a croissant, and a churro. I ate like 5 of them, I just couldnt get enough of them. Also part of the dessert platter, was the tiramisu, which was just amazing. The coffee flavour really stood out. I also had a bite of the opera cake, which was a tea flavour, which altho wasnt my favourite, was still very delicious. And the white cho cheesecake and gelato got gobbled before I had a chance to touch it. So that should tell you something about how much my dinner mates enjoyed them. The olive oil that came with the bread was incredible. The candle melted down and the wick was edible. The incredible edible candle. Haha. Saw what I did there? I also ordered the beet salad and sablefish. Both were excellent. In fact the sablefish came with this savory soy mashed potatoes. Ive never had mashed potatoes that tasted so good. It was all just incredibly amazing. And because the party after us was running late we got to spend a bit longer in our dome. Thank you to H Tasting Lounge for such an incredible experience and your attention to detail. It definitely makes the top five of my list of favourite restos in Vancouver.

Located inside Westin Bayshore Vancouver, to me this small setup within the Hotel is definitely a gem itself. Simple menu but highly satisfying food even for dinner. Disappointed by having walked over to a $$$ Japanese restaurant 45 minutes walk-in wait time; we're told that currently became a two hour wait. Quick decision needed and took a taxi back to our hotel for dinner. Ordered a seafood tower for two and making sure I won't go hungry afterwards, our server suggested beef tartare as that will fulfilled my worry. Great choice as it turned out to be a perfect combination with the cold seafood being served along with wine and cocktail. All the seafood being decorated over ice the shrimps, almost raw tuna , clams, raw oysters, crab legs , etc, etc was almost Japanese food that we wanted. Could not ask for anything more after being disappointed earlier.

So we went back for Winterlust 2021 (December) and really enjoyed the upgraded solid domes! The service was warm, friendly and professional. The charcuterie plate and burrata plates were good, and they were very kind in providing gluten free bread for our daughter. They also surprised us with a lovely gluten free birthday cake for her, which was very sweet of them. Alas, the food quality has gone downhill since our visit in February 2021 for Winterlust. We ordered the pork belly, which was a soft, fatty piece of colder-than-room-temperature pork (bleh). The tartar was forgettable - and if it was my first tartar, I'd probably never order it again. Given how good these dishes were in February, it was a disappointment. The Caesar salad was... meh. My husband and I weren't inspired to bother ordering any more food. Our daughter had their steak, which she said was "ok." We had an amazing bottle of champagne and then a Brunello (I've included photos of the bottles), which helped salvage our dinner! Overall, we still had a lovely evening for her birthday, but hopefully the kitchen works out it's kinks.

This place is super cute, great atmosphere. The harpist and violinist were a nice touch. Food was just not on point. Way more sweet than savory foods and the tea sandwich bread was so dry. The tea itself was good. I wish I could've tried more than just one flavor of tea. They did refill the tea pots upon request. The servers were very nice and accommodating. A plus is validated parking at the parking garage across the street. I would come for the experience, but just plan on not eating well. My favorite food item was the cotton candy, which nobody else seemed to be eating, but it was the one food with the best flavor in my opinion because everything else was lacking.

Came here for quick bite over their happy lounge & the food was super tasty ! 1) Oysters are my favorite and these were definitely super fresh - definitely a must try ! 2) My fiancé loved the Shishito Peppers and even ordered a second order of them. 3) I'm a sucker for potatoes especially a fries so I had to make an order out ! But boy oh boy these were top notch - crispy on the outside and soft in the inside ! Cheers, EY

Alright. It's been a long time since my last review. I don't like to waste my precious time unless the situation was so good, or was so bad, that it warrants it. Today, my family ate at The Westin restaurant in Coal Harbour during its WinterLust theme. It was a wonderful, unforgettable treat for us during these unprecedented times of this Covid pandemic. The seating in one of these pre-booked elevated domes was such a private, intimate and unique experience. The food we ordered was absolutely delicious. My hats off to the kitchen staff. Truffle fries were nice and crispy. The miso glazed sable fish on the rice was so yummy. The tomahawk steak? Order it! Omg it was so good medium rare. Look at my subpar iphone photos but you can STILL see the deliciousness shine through the lens! But you know what? What put the experience over the top for us was our delightful server. I can't recall her name, but it started with a D., I think. She made our first dining experience here magical. She was so nice, friendly and accommodating (mind you, we brought along 2 rambunctious kids) that I just had to break my hiatus from Yelp today to give 5/5 stars. Furthermore, the rest of the staff were great too. When I left twice, once to move my car and the other time to go the rest room, I was always genuinely greeted and it honestly made me feel like a million dollars. Kudos to the staff for making me feel this way. Management should be proud their staff bring this energy. Go read my Papa Roti review; they should take a page from your book!

Celebrated my birthday here yesterday and the food here was phenomenal! It was more than what we expected. There was a bit of a confusion with the cheese, but their exceptional service was just amazing! Thank you to the chefs and staff!! They even surprised me with a cake! It was a lovely surprise! The drinks, even the seasonal ones were strong, but sooo smooth! It satisfied my alcoholic cravings! I'm so impressed! OH, THE FRIES WERE THE STAR OF THE SHOW! The best fries I've had. EVER! We WILL BE BACK!

This past Sunday, a few girlfriends and I experienced Winterlust at H Tasting Lounge. We were supposed to try this last year, but unfortunately with restrictions at that time, we had to cancel. As it was raining on Sunday, I did not get a picture of the globes since it was pouring and we wanted to stay dry! Lol. But it did stop in the middle of it and caught a rainbow right on the water! Was so pretty. We ordered quite a bit between the 5 of us: Kusshi Oysters, Caesar Salad, Bread & Oil, Truffle Fries, Two Rivers Charcuterie, Ahi Tuna Tataki, Fish Tacos, and Smash Sliders. Everything was delicious. We ordered so many appys and share plates that we didn't end up ordering any entrees. And of course, always gotta save room for dessert: Warm Apple Galette, Caramel Brownie, and Cotton Candy & (strawberry) Cream Puffs. Also, drinks ordered were: Leche Di Papi, Lost Paradise (fave), Autumn Shade, and Like Basically. Definitely a good experience overall!

This place is a class. Very polish, clean and beautiful. Little bit of a hidden gem as it's not on any of the main streets but tucked on the one spectacular side of beautiful Vancouver harbour. One must checkout everything in this corner of our city. Westin hotel, it's cafe , it's restaurant with winter lust domes and mesmerizing light decorations around the hotel surroundings. Brilliant place for a romantic date. Office parties are also celebrated especially at the domes or in the lounges of the restaurant. Servers are exceptionally well spoken and knowledgeable about the food,drinks and proud legacy of the space. We are thankful to our handsome server kurtis for his valuable service. Food is also excellent. We being vegetarians were not able to try meat dishes but the sablefish and as worth every penny. It's little bit on a sweeter side so beware spice lovers. Fish itself was just melting in my mouth. Squash salad is heavy on stomach so don't be fooled like us considering it just a salad. It's actually a very good shareable starter. Again , since we were non- alcoholic people so didn't try any drinks but the menu has very amazing drinks with interesting ingredients. Go for it .

H Tasting Lounge has great decor and is somewhat cozy but does not live up to the price charged. I get it, you charge a premium because it's located in the Westin, which is premium, relatively speaking, but the quality of food and service is not up to par. Let's start with the seating. We were seated in the centre and it was too low for comfortable dining. It honestly felt like I was doing squats. Maybe the intention was to give me a work out, who knows. Within one minute of receiving the drink menu, the waitress asked what drinks we would like. Thats a bit too quick in my opinion. We ordered and received oysters, fish tacos and truffle fries. The oysters were fresh but cocktail sauce tasted like something out of a shrimp cocktail party tray and the fish tacos were cold and miserable tasting. It seemed like the fish had been sitting on the counter for 1/2 hr before it got to us. The truffle fries were decent, but nothing to come running to. Overall, the experience was underwhelming. I will not be going back, but if you want a modern, stylish place to spend some time with others, then it is worth considering. Just don't expect much from the fish tacos.

We visited H Tasting Lounge on Friday evening to celebrate early Valentine's and Chinese New Year and also looking forward to the long weekend for Family Day. We parked at the separated parking lot and upon checking in with the hostess, provided or license plate for free parking. You don't need to pay at the lot. We made reservations online so we were seated quickly by the hostess. The lounge was lower dimmed with music which set the mood. It seemed lively and the tables were partitioned. The seats were quite comfortable. We ordered off the Dine out Vancouver menu for $35 and order some drinks. Our drinks True Lies cocktail and yuzu spritz. I ordered: 1) Kale salad - I love starting with salads and this was a really tasty salad with citrus dressing and spiced nuts. 2) pan seared salmon - perfectly cooked and bit salty for me but having it with the tomato relish cut down the saltiness. 3) Vanilla bean gelato - I shouldn't have finished it but I did because it was that good. My hubby order: 1) mushroom soup 2) pork belly 3) blueberry white chocolate cheesecake I did have some bites of the pork belly and wow, it was very rich and flavourful. It was a bit salty for my liking but I did ask for another bite to my husband's dismay :). My only issue from our first dining experience at H Tasting Lounge it took 30 minutes for our entrees from the time we received our appetizers. The staff did not provide us any updates or "check in", which I expected as common courtesy. We knew the wait was 30 minute as our food photos were timed stamped. I did notice the table next to us who were seated after we put our drink and food order in, they got their appetizers and entrees ahead of us and they also ordered off the Dine Out Vancouver menu. I though that was a bit odd. I would like to try the Winterlust dining experience if it still going in March 2021. We will see.

What a nice treat. My partner and I stayed at the Westin Hotel and to our surprise saw this amazing bar. This place is a cocktail lovers dream! We came the day they released the holiday cocktail menu. Its a fun photo album with pictures of family members and cocktails created for them. I ordered the problematic uncle. It comes in a naughty santa mug and has tonka bean infused whiskey, bitters, oat milk, and an orange infused whipped cream. Its topped with gingerbread! That drink was delicious. I would've had 3 more if I wasn't driving. LOL! The food was delicious as well. We had the caramelized onion dip, the fish sauce wings, and the fish tacos. All really yummy, but the fish sauce wings were my favorite. The service was great as well! Our serve was very sweet, and kind. As a bonus we came on a day when they had a live harpist. That was a special and romantic treat for the holidays. Tip: Make a reservation for brunch or afternoon tea. If you miss reservations but desperately want to try this place, come right when they open.

Great spot for afternoon tea. Ambience, interiors and service were lovely. Pricing and quality of food is comparable to other high tea services (in Toronto). I would recommend getting the cherry blossom tea, it was the best loose leaf mix out of all the offered flavours. It would have been great if they had a sampler to smell flavours before choosing. Note, you only get to choose one tea for the entire service. The favourites bites were: Miso Aburi Oyster and Halibut, Leek Potato Pie and the Peach Pavlova All in all, I would come again for a girls day out.

I had a great experience on this visit. Of course, the vibe of the dome setup has been overwhelming, and I can't help to take some photos outside and inside. Next, our server (sorry I forgot your name) was remarkable, he set the experience comfortable right away and he informed us of the time, and room temperature where there is a heater inside which we can turn on if needed, music can as well be controlled if we want to, and throughout he knows the right timing to be back to check us out if we're doing okay or we needed help on something. Anyways, for the food $150 is the minimum order which is understandable, my sister already pre-ordered the charcuterie and cheese platter so it was served right away, as someone who worked in the deli department I was not impressed with the serving, well plated but the content is merely not enough for it's $32 price. The chicken wings were appetizing it was sweet yet spicy. The miso-marinated sablefish was delectable, we love every bite of it. The seafood tower is another minus star, the content was fresh but it just lacks taste as for seafood the taste depends on the dips which to me it needs some addition or something to make it even more special for its price. Lastly, we had a latte and dessert platter, I appreciate that they made it special since it was my birthday which we forgot to note when we booked, so we just let them know on the spot, which yep, I got the happy birthday platter with a candle, the cotton candy was mind-blowing and the cakes were mostly sweet it was a delightful dessert platter. In addition to the bill since it was my birthday, my non-alcoholic drink was free, thank you. Overall, this is an acceptable beautiful spot to dine especially on special occasions, highly recommended.

Stopped by during happy hour after a long bike ride at Stanley Park. I was a little sad they didn't offer their buck a shuck anymore so we decided to try some items from their happy hour menu. We opted for the fish tacos, the brussel sprouts and their house daiquiri. We were going to have an early dinner so we only tried a few items. All the items were delicious. The fish taco was super flavourful, and we were def. regretting now getting another one. The pickled cabbage and the cotija cheese were 'chef's kiss'. I cant remember having such a delicious fish taco. The brussel spouts were also very flavourful with a nice mix of the char (from being roasted) to the acidic sweetness of the balsamic glaze. It was a bit on they oily side so you do have to eat it slowly while siping your drink. Make sure to make reservations as this cute little cocktail bar located at the Westin Hotel does get busy. Bonus points for the super cute seats, fireplace and french inspired decor.

During the winter, H Tasting Lounge transforms its patio into this charming space filled with globes. It's like being in a miniature snow globe, but adult sized of course. Due to its popularity, I was able to snag a reservation by making it at the end of November for February! The experience was well worth the wait. The globe has two heaters and is completely private so it felt safe. This was important to us since we stopped dining out due to Covid. There's soft music playing inside so you can't hear anything from the other globes. The Winterlust deal is that they charge you $200 upfront that can be used on food and drinks. The service was fantastic, the ambience was perfect, cocktail menu was unique, and the food was really good. Some of the standouts include their crab cake (chock full of crab), truffle fries, and apple galette for dessert. The only one disappointment for me was the Lingcod which lacked flavour. At the end of the meal, they kindly brought out some special treats in honour of our anniversary which was a really nice touch. If you can snag a reservation for their private globes, I definitely recommend it!
