Really enjoyed this place, had a lovely dinner! We found a couple of French restaurants in Da Nang and weren’t sure which one to pick, but so glad we tried this one in the end. This is a great choice if you want French fine dining at reasonable prices.
Each dish was delicious and meticulously prepared. My top three highlights:
1. Vermouth sabayon - this was by far THE BEST part of the meal!! And so glad it was the last part of the meal as I always save the best for the last. I’m surprised others have not commented much about this dessert, it was truly incredible. It looks simple and unassuming, but has such a rich and diverse mix of flavors / textures that I haven’t had anywhere else. We were told it’s inspired by Vietnamese egg coffee. I would totally come back just to try this again!
2. Duck breast - this was another highlight, the cut was nice and flavorful, worked really well with the sauce. But the standout of the dish was the duck croquette on the side, it reminded me of Japanese croquettes (which I love) but more nuanced and elevated. Loved it!
3. Onion soup - this was served with a very cheesy puff pastry, enough said!
It was a slow day when we went, with only one other party in the restaurant, so the owner-chef Chris was able to come up and personally introduce each dish to us and share more about the restaurant. We could feel his passion for the dishes and the restaurant / food in general, really appreciated talking to him. Ly was also very attentive and pleasant.
Overall this was a great experience and I would definitely come back if I visit Da Nang again. Highly recommend!
