"The four huge red cubes set amid the verdant mountains around Medellín will seize your attention and pique your curiosity—they are pavilions that architect Alejandro Echeverri designed to house Parque Explora, a science museum that is rather a monumental toy itself. The goal was to strike a proper balance between wonder and learning—and to avoid at all costs the sort of place that quickly grows obsolete. The result offers a nice sort of carnival or market feeling in its wide-open spaces. Inside, the pavilions, aquarium, planetarium, and cool science and tech exhibits keep both wee ones and grown-ups entertained and awed. By Travesías"

This aquarium is fun for all ages. The outside exhibits and the three exhibits inside are all hands-on for adults and children. I took my teenager and myself there today and we really enjoyed it. The favorite part of the aquarium for me was the dinosaur exhibit put me back into mind of being in Jurassic Park.

At about $14 it's fairly reasonably priced. Largest fresh water aquarium in South America with a science park for kids to enjoy hands on exhibits..Has a small food court, elevator and some escalators, but expect to climb several flights of stairs anyway. The Planetarium opens apparently at.3pm.

Beautiful aquarium, I had a great time with my girl friend. A lot to see here and has a lot of different variety of fishes with info on them. I learned a lot with the information provided. Very beautiful ND it was a great experience. I would definitely recommend and come back here.

This was a decent place to go with kids. The outdoor section was pretty good, though some of the exhibits were broken. Indoors was also okay, but could be a bit overwhelming at times, and the explanations of the science behind the exhibits wasn't really that clear in Spanish or in English. There was a fun map of a community on the wall of one of the buildings, with clues for kids to find. We had a blast looking at this for almost an hour, coming up with our own characters to find.

An Unforgettable Experience at Parque Explora! Parque Explora in Medellín is truly a gem — a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to the city! From the moment you step in, you’re greeted with vibrant exhibits, interactive displays, and an atmosphere that makes learning fun for all ages. The aquarium was a highlight — featuring a wide range of freshwater and saltwater species. It’s beautifully designed and incredibly educational. The science and technology exhibits are hands-on and immersive, making complex topics accessible and exciting. Kids and adults alike will love the outdoor park areas, which include fun installations and creative spaces. Plus, the planetarium nearby is an excellent add-on to your visit. The staff is friendly, the facilities are clean, and the entire space is thoughtfully curated. Great experience !!! Going at the opening, on a weekday, has given us the chance to get (private) guidance inside the different rooms. The guides are passionate and they have a good knowledge. We've spent nearly 7 hours inside, but we've got the feeling it has been much shorter.
