Caffe Fantastico

It’s a chill place to hang out and get work done. It is a popular spot among locals so it might be challenging to find a seat at times. They roast their local coffee beans offering something unique along with pastries sourced from local bakers. The food is a tasty experience, offering something for everyone. It’s a spot I often frequent.

Coffee was fine, but the pumpkin matcha latte was very disappointing. The first couple of sips were okay, but then I started getting cold, solid bits in the drink. I assume it was supposed to be pumpkin purée, but it didn’t taste like pumpkin—mostly just spices. Would not recommend.

This place has great coffee! But I’ve had a chai latte and a dirty chai latte here and I barely tasted the chai, basically I just got a cup of milk for ten dollars, the staff said the chai tea bags don’t steep very well…so then I wonder why don’t they switch to chai tea concentrate, they really should. Secondly my partner got a iced dirty chai latte with soy milk, now this is classically a creamy drink but his was not creamy at all, so it was like watered down coffee with little curdles of soy milk floating around. I ordered two iced chais one with soy milk for my partner and one with real milk for me, as you can see the one with real milk is creamy and the one with soy milk not. I know creaminess can be met with soy milk so I’m not sure what went wrong. Anyway I think even if the staff are’t vegan or dairy free they should try their dairy free drinks before putting them on the menu. Again I was surprised because usually the drinks here are excellent. If you look really close u can see these curdles I’m talking about

I rarely leave any reviews but this place is way over rated. $7 small latte, , WiFi limited to 60 minutes (hurry up and get out vibe), The WiFi is a joke - slowest internet I have seen since dial up. Had to use my hotspot data to access web. Spent a whole minute waiting for upload test to show but -only got loading error( see photo). I spend my life on Wifi and this was the worst. I came here because I didn’t want support Starbucks - next time I will just go there.

I would not recommend their hot chocolate but everything else is fantastic. You can easily spend hours here. Great cleanliness and fun setup

I love the spaciousness of this particular location up at quadra and Kings. Lots of seating, nice menu and good service. Good place to go for lunch or coffee; moderate amount of noise. If you're a coffee lover, they sell all kinds of paraphernalia. One downside: they should change the lock on their washroom door to one that is more obviously locked or unlocked.

Very welcoming, homey environment. The inside was very cozy but I sat on the patio to soak up the sun since it was the first nice day in a while. Great food menu with substantial meals. I had a crispy tofu sandwich and a strawberry pie slice. A bit of a wait for the food to come out, but all was delicious. The sandwich was freshly prepared with freshly crisped up tofu and tasty sauce, and the side salad had a really good dressing. The pie filling was juicy and tart with a rustic crumb topping. I also enjoyed my sour cherry green tea. They had a nice selection of teas as well as all the coffee drinks you'd expect and some interesting specialty drinks like hot chocolate, cream-top drinks, and more. It was a great place to relax and enjoy lunch.

This is a cute café with lots of different options for food. Their hot drink selection is amazing. The food tasted good, but I was disappointed with the serving sizes. In my opinion. The prices were a bit high to not get a lot food. I would come back again, but probably would just get a drink.
