On the Grid : LangLab

"LangLab is hard to explain. Its tagline ‘you’re now here or you’re nowhere’ befits the formerly-vacant South East side warehouse that has been transformed into a cultural hub comprising a venue, artist studios, gallery space, print shop, bar. It’s home to Zen Cafe, a coffee shop and roaster, Violet Sky, a craft chocolate company, and Elder Bread, a one-woman bakery." - West.SB

Great place for all kinds of kinds! Safe and fun environment. Great place for artists, creators, and all kinds of patrons! Great place to hang out, buy or view art at displays or galleries, have a drink, eat, craft, dance, see musicians play, and so much more. I highly recommend visiting and checking out the events. I use the Facebook page to look for upcoming events and features. It's affordable as well!

This is a hidden gem. If you want live music, a chill afternoon, a supportive atmosphere, rent a creative space, homemade goodies, or market, this is the place. Ck out their FB page for all their events. I LOVE attending the monthly Markets.

One of my favorite places in South Bend so far!! I've been there for the Open-mic nights to watch my girlfriend play ukulele, and recently I got to share my good vibes as part of their universal art market! There's other great things about this place but I'll let you explore on your own 🤩

Quinn did not promote my event whatsoever until a day or two before despite making promises that he would gladly do so. After the event was hosted, he told me that he wants me to host events there in the future and that he would help promote more and even assist paying the bands and performers. Recently I contacted him about for an event idea I had, and he told me that he won't let me or my crew host anything at his venue anymore, and gave me no reason for that decision. Personally I cannot recommend working with anybody that wishy-washy. Sorry y'all. You have a great space, but you need to change the way you work with professional creatives.

My first time visiting LangLab was this weekend, and it was an extremely nice experience! The atmosphere is so chill and vibey, and the "Danwhich" sandwich and lentil soup is soooooo yum!! Will definitely return many more times to come ✨️
