Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk

Had a really lovely experience at the rainforest skywalk. Nature at its absolute stunning, peaceful, scenic & beautifully maintained. The walk is around 1.5 km (both ways) with clear directions to follow. Green arrows on the way up & red arrows on the way back. This makes it very easy to navigate. No matter where you are on the walk the views are stunning & truly immersive. Facilities are well thought out with restaurants & toilets conveniently located at the entrance. Ticket options are available for both adults & families. This great for everyone at every age. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to enjoy nature and unwind in a beautiful rainforest setting. 🌳💚

Very beautiful place and well maintained so worth paying the price for it! There is no rush of exiting so you can take your time exploring the walk. It is about 1.5km return. I recommend the butterfly signed area. Try to be not loud and just sit and enjoy the view. The butterflies are very visible from that place. Parking was tricky so plan that ahead as the walk is steep if you park outside of the venue. Toilets available at venue.

My partner and I visited this stunning eco-attraction on a crisp spring morning, and from the moment we arrived at the beautifully maintained entrance in Tamborine Mountain National Park, we were blown away. The 1.5 km elevated walkway meanders through the lush canopy of ancient rainforest, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Gold Coast hinterland, cascading waterfalls, and the distant Pacific Ocean on clear days. We spotted vibrant birdlife—like rainbow lorikeets and whipbirds—fluttering just meters away, and the informative plaques along the path educated us on the unique subtropical flora, including towering strangler figs and rare orchids. The highlight was the 40-meter-high cantilever bridge that sways gently over Cedar Creek, giving a thrilling yet safe adrenaline rush without disturbing the ecosystem below. The entire experience is wheelchair and pram-accessible with smooth boardwalks, and the knowledgeable guides at the start provided fascinating insights into the Gondwana rainforest's 100-million-year history. it's incredible value for a 45-60 minute self-guided walk that feels like stepping into a Jurassic paradise. The on-site café serves delicious local coffee and scones with views of the valley, and the gift shop has eco-friendly souvenirs. Clean facilities, ample parking, and zero crowds mid-week made it perfect. Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk is a must-do for nature lovers, families, or anyone seeking serene beauty in Queensland—highly recommend! Very nice place, we love it. We'll be back soon.

A walk that takes you into the forest few feet above the ground. It is a circuit. In some places you are above the ground, while sometimes you walk on the ground. The Creek look out is great. its not stroller or wheelchair accessible. The entrance of the skywalk has a cafe, toilets and sovenier shop.

We loved the skywalk and we appreciate the care that has gone into making it a safe and educational experience. We learned a lot about the rainforests in southern Queensland and saw some amazing landscapes. The butterfly observation point was not as prolific in the spring as it was last summer, but still caught a glimpse of a few birdwings. It's definitely a place you want to check out if you're visiting Tambourine.

The skywalk was very good. It was well kept and a lovely walk through the rain forest at different heights and outlooks. The walk was easy and at a leisurely pace it was probably less than an hour. There's a nice gift shop and cafe. Staff were lovely and helpful.

This is like the second or third time I’ve been here and for some reason I thought it’d be this huge hike but it’s not at all it’s super easy. Would definitely recommend for anyone trying to see all the wonderful Aussie plants.

This place is fantastic ❤️ A small entry fee is totally worth the views to walk along the treetops. Great views all the way to the creek. Totally worth the stop

What an amazing experience, truly something you'll need to do. I would definitely come back whenever I'm back in Australia.

I am very surprised to see so many low rated reviews because of the price. I thought it was free and I'm still giving it 5 stars. So let's get the price out the way. $19.50 for adults. There, you have your warning. NOW... if we didn't pay and the experience deteriorated and the end of the cantilever bridge snapped off for example... you get the point. I completely understand other Yelpers and my partners view of getting this experience for free in the National Park but you can only get it from the ground. This is that plus being in the treetops. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I saw a wallaby and a really pretty blue dragonfly. The paths are maintained to a very high standard. There are information points along the walk about trees and wildlife. The cantilever bridge, with the green scenery beyond looks like the approach to a Jurassic Park viewing platform. If you stand still at the end of it you can see and feel it gently swaying. Not for those with a fear of heights but worth a look if visiting the region.

This area is a great place for family's, couples or just someone wanting a peaceful walk amongst nature. It's $19.50 for an adult to walk but is nearly a 2k walk and you could take quite a long time to do the entire thing if going slow. The bridge area is really cool and it's strange to see some trees and be so high (if you're scared of heights then this might not be for you). While walking we saw a wallaby a cool dragon fly and stopped along the way to read about the different types of trees that line the path. If you like that sort of thing then it's definitely worth the money, and you might just spend a few hours walking. You could probably even bring some lunch and stop for a picnic at one of the multiple rest stops along the way.

We visited the Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk on the way to the Gold Coast. The walk wasn't as interesting as I anticipated. They have a lot of signs up to explain the different fauna and flora which was nice. Outside of the elevated walkway you take on the way out and the signs, it felt like a normal walk through a forested area. If you enjoy easy nature walks then this may be a good stop for you but if you have limited time, I'd recommend skipping it and visiting other areas in the Tamborine Mountain. 2 stars.

A nice little walk in the afternoon but very over-priced to look at what is essentially a bunch of trees. I tired spotting native wildlife but it was no where to be seen.

We drove through here on the way to Surfers Paradise. It was a really pretty drive and we ended up here at the skywalk. It is a relatively short walk and you don't have to be particularly fit. The skywalk itself is about maybe at best .5-1km long over the top of the rainforest. It is very pretty and you get the sounds of gushing water below you. The rest of the walk involves getting down onto the rainforest floor which again is a pretty easy walk. It cost about $20, but i would say worth it, as the walk was beautiful and i got to see water, cascades, awesome rainforest and great plants.

$20 to look at tree tops and walk? Nope. As a tourist here in Australia, you guys overcharge for everything but this one blew my mind. It literally is $20 to walk just over 1km and look at vines and tree tops. There is nothing special about this.

A nice walk. Don't really think it was worth $20 though. A lot of the rainforest seemed to be covered in lantana which is a noxious weed!! Pity!!
