Visited this great shop on a recent trip to Chicago. Tried a few other stores in the area but this one was clearly the most serious for collectors. simple layout and fair prices. Will definitely make this my first stop on my next visit to the area. Thanks for the slip mat!

Every year I take my niece and her uncle record shopping around Chicago, hitting multiple stores. This was our first time at Signal Records—and from Hyde Park to Pilsen to Lakeview to Wicker Park, it was by far the best stop of the night. Outstanding selection across genres, spot-on staff recommendations, great finds, and prices that are actually reasonable. I almost hate giving away a honey hole this good—but Signal Records is too good not to share.

A nice shop with quality high-end records, scored some deep jazz and Brazilian wants/needs and the owner was friendly and generous with his time. Prices are commensurate with rarity and condition but not inflated. Bought WAY too much stuff but know it would be very hard to find otherwise. Thanks Blake!

Great experience at Signal Records! This place has such a cool vibe — the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about music. The selection is impressive, with both classics and hidden gems you don’t see everywhere. I really appreciate how organized everything is, which makes browsing super enjoyable. Whether you’re a collector or just stopping by for something new, Signal Records is definitely worth the visit!

The perfect record store. This place had such well curated stock in every genre. There’s not a ton of records but everything in each section is something you wanted to buy. I had such a great time flipping through here and if I had another hour or two would’ve enjoyed digging through the bargain bins underneath. I found a couple of fantastic Brazilian and records from Portugal here, but there were also lots of blues, jazz, and rock records I wanted that were just a bit out of my budget. The guy working the desk was very cool and friendly and played great records while I was in there.

Wonderful selection of original and Japanese pressings of classic jazz albums. One of the best shops in Chicago.

My favorite record shop in America---and I've been to a bunch. I don't want to know how much I've spent here. I've bought OG Blue Note pressings, OG Stooges, OG Alice Coltrane, OG God knows what else. Blake is rad and he's always scouring the planet to deliver the best stuff. Love him, love Signal.
