Trang Tien ice cream

The ordering process was extremely confusing as they each have 80% of the offering, so you may have to order at separate counters if people in your group want different items. After reading the reviews we were very hyped about the ice cream, but we were disappointed to see it was pre-scooped and not fresh. Both flavors we had (chocolate and vanilla) tasted purely like coconut and water. The vanilla mochi was quite good, but the blueberry was extremely hard even after letting it sit for a few minutes. Overall would not recommend this ice cream, no matter how hyped it is!

Saw this place on a blogger’s list of places to eat in Hanoi. We decided to try it out. Ordering is convenient as there are several counters (some outside and some inside). If one of the counters doesn’t have what you’re looking for, maybe check others. We had the Taro ice cream and Black sesame ice cream. My first time trying black sesame and I loved it. There are benches to sit inside and several beautiful painted walls.

The ice cream is very good, but good luck getting what you want. It is a huge complex of different lines. My experience across multiple trips is that they are always out of most of the flavors. Also each counter only has some flavors. If you want something different, will they reach two feet to get it for you? No. You have to go wait in a different line. There's also no seating anywhere. They want you to buy what they want too get rid of, and then have to leave immediately. Its an overcrowded tourist trap

Tucked away in an alley, this spot has a great look and an even better vibe. I went on a Saturday night and it was full of locals, with hardly any tourists in sight. I’d recommend coming mainly for the atmosphere, which is really enjoyable. The ice cream itself was just ok, nothing memorable. Still, the experience makes it worth a visit.

Wouldn’t go in unless it’s to cross this tourist spot off the list 😩 Don’t get lost along the side stalls along the road and miss entering the main plaza! Blueberry Mochi had some fruit bits, not bad. But the mochi was tough 😔 Ice Cream w Sticky Rice was literally just ice cream and sticky rice (hard and no flavor). Ice cream very basic with light flavor, 2 miserable scoops smaller than a golf ball. And most importantly, the display photo’s cup was overflowing with ingredients but the actual cup wasn’t even half-full.

Such a sweet little spot! I wasn’t expecting much, but the ice cream here really surprised me — smooth, creamy, and full of flavor. The portion was generous, and the price? Honestly, a steal. It’s rare to find good quality ice cream at this price these days. I tried the chocolate and coconut — both were refreshing and not overly sweet. Perfect for a hot afternoon in the city. The staff were friendly too, which made the experience even better. If you’re looking for a quick, affordable treat that doesn’t compromise on taste, this place is a hidden gem:3

Not sure why the review format is for hotels. For 17k VND (2025) enjoy a cone of happiness. When I got there, the rice flake nor chocolate are sold out. There are multiple counter I am not quite sure how the establishment works. So I just queue where everybody queues. I got a vanilla, and let me tell you, the waffle cone is more than it looks, it is so fragrant and taste so good and the vanilla also has strong good taste, I really enjoy my ice cream and would definitely come back for other options. Cheers!
