Torel Palace Lisbon

Our experience at Torel Palace Lisbon was truly something out of a dream. I honestly do not know where to begin, because I cannot express enough how amazing this stay was for me and my fiancée. I planned a surprise proposal for my fiancée at the hotel and reached out to the team in advance for help bringing everything together. What they delivered was beyond anything I could have hoped for. From the very beginning, they were incredibly helpful, engaged, and genuinely invested in making my vision come to life. They helped me arrange access to special locations, decoration, a specially prepared dinner, a photographer, and so many thoughtful details that made the whole moment unforgettable. The proposal itself was everything we had dreamed of. I am so grateful that they helped me create this for my fiancée, and she absolutely loved it. It was such a special and emotional moment for us, and the way the team handled everything made it even more magical than I could have imagined. After that, the rest of our stay continued in the same exceptional way. The staff looked after us with such warmth and care, making sure we could fully enjoy this beautiful moment together and celebrate in peace. Our room was absolutely stunning, with an incredible view over beautiful Lisbon. The amenities were wonderful, the bath was perfect, and the aesthetics of the building, the rooms, and the interiors were simply superb. Every corner of the hotel felt elegant, thoughtful, and full of character. The attention to detail throughout the entire property was truly impressive. I also want to give a very special thank you to Cristina Sargento, Igor Lopes, and above all, Inês Feijão, the restaurant manager at Black Pavilion, together with her whole team. Inês went above and beyond to help me with this very special request and moment. Her communication was excellent, she was incredibly thoughtful, and she made sure everything happened exactly according to plan. I genuinely could not have asked for anyone better to help me create such an important memory. For that, I want to send my deepest thanks to Inês and the entire Torel Palace and Black Pavilion team for turning this once-in-a-lifetime moment into a core memory that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. WOWWW. We flew here from USA for our wedding anniversary after extensive research. The property is exceptional, the view of Lisbon magnificent and the hotel has way better than the views than viewpoints around the city. The breakfast is delicious and the rooms are beautiful. High ceilings, gorgeous moldings and just unbelievable views of Lisboa. We are very picky and particular with our sleep and thought the beds were extremelyy comfortable. We travel a lot and this is by far one of our favorite properties we have ever stayed in. But the people who work here are what make this place unforgettable. just best service all around. all the staff is attentive, warm and professional. Every time we have interacted with anyone who works here we have felt special. 100% recommend. This place made us fall in love Lisbon and will be the only place we recommend to our family and friends when they visit. We can't wait to come back in the future. Thank you Torel team!! <3

To start with the cons: we paid for one of the nicest rooms at the hotel - the balcony with hot tub. Upon arriving, the hot tub was broken and it seemed like it hadn’t been used for a long time. We were quite transparent with the staff that this was a huge decision making factor in selecting the room and honestly, the hotel itself. Over the course of our 4 day and 3 night stay the hot tub was not fixed. This put an unfortunate start to our experience if I’m being honest since it was something we had looked so forward to with the cool weather. The only other point I would highlight is that the location is on quite a steep hill which requires a lot of stairs and hills- so I would not say this is the most accessible hotel for anyone with mobility issues (but that goes for most of Lisbon). I would like to update my review to include we were issued a SIGNIFICANT refund! Now to the pros: The staff was quite kind and accommodating and was willing to find a way to work with us about the room not being up to its usual par, which we appreciated. The breakfast was so lovely and truly had an option for everyone, it was one of our favorite parts of the hotel. Additionally, the staff helped us arrange a taxi to the airport and even supplied us with “to go” breakfast boxes which included an assortment of items and orange juice which I thought was a very special touch. The property is also beautiful, and I thought for its age, well maintained.

This is a truly unique and fantastic hotel. This was our 2nd stay here for my birthday, and won't be the last. The property is beautiful, away from the hustle and bustle of the City, with amazing views. The staff are all wonderful - kind, professional and genuinely interested in giving you the best time. We were lucky enough to be given an upgrade to a stunning room, very hard to leave :) . Breakfast is great, and we ate at the 2monkeys which was exceptional.

If I could give this hotel more stars, I absolutely would. I’ve stayed in many hotels — mostly five-star — but the level of service here was honestly next level. It wasn’t just luxury, it was the thoughtfulness. The attention to detail. The little things that so often get missed… but never were here. They knew it was my birthday. They knew I was travelling alone. And somehow they made it feel like I was coming home. Treats waiting in my room on arrival. Chocolates delivered by housekeeping. A surprise chocolate pudding sent up after dinner. Being greeted at the taxi. My bags gently taken care of when I left. Every small touch felt intentional and none of it went unnoticed. And that’s before I even mention the beautiful, spacious rooms, the stunning city views, and that perfect balance of homely yet luxurious. A huge thank you to every single member of staff for making this one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had. I’ll absolutely be back. ✨

We stayed 4 nights at Torel Palace in Lisbon and we chose it because of the location on one of the seven hills. Our Suite Imperial was a lovely room with view all over the city, the River bassin and the castle. Everything we needed was supplied. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast one of the best experiences of the place. On one day we had the chance to go up to the highest point of the hotel - the tower - a breathtaking view! The only negative point was the SPA area that was not what we expected from a ***** place. Everything else was just GREAT! Thank you again Lola and the whole Torel staff!

Over a 10 day trip from Porto to Lisbon, this was our final stay, which was an excellent ending to our journey. An incredibly kind staff with an excellent location to walk within the key areas of Lisbon. Although I don't believe it's stated on their site, they have a spire that overlooks the whole city from 360 degrees. I cannot extend my appreciation for this being a highlight of our trip to Portugal. For reference to other locations we stayed during our trip: - Maison Albar - Le Monumental - Vintage House - Torel Quinta de Vacaria (also would highly recommend)

This historic property is elegant and cozy! Each space a clever fusion of modern decor with royal romanticism. The staff were very attentive and always ahead of our needs. We loved The Torel Experience so much, we changed our itinerary so we could stay at another Torel property. Well done!
