We couldn't have asked for a better start of our long weekend trip than with lunch at Chez Georges. The food is deliciously not fussy, but superbly prepared classics. The service is just amazing. Staff that lets you try your best French (which I always try out of respect, but isn't good by any means) and elegantly helps with a few words of English at the right moment. The room is luckily still mostly filled with locals. Beautiful family gatherings, old friends sharing a meal, ugly men with beautiful women, and yes, there is always the bright-pink-sweatered American. It doesn't get more real then this. I would gladly eat here again, and again. Heck, I would live here if I could.
Until the next time!
