Great spot to try Japanese Whiskies. They have a great selection of international whiskeys too! We found the services to be wonderful and transparent about pricing. We had a menu with a selection that had pricing. For everything we ordered off the menu we just asked how much a glass would be before trying and always got an answer. Prices were fair for what I would expect at a nice whiskey bar in Tokyo where cover charges are common. Anyway, I love the cozy cellar-style ambiance and we got to try some great whiskeys!

Very sophisticated and classy whiskey bar in Roppongi. There was a vast array of whiskey choices, but they have cocktails and other spirits for people who are not whiskey drinkers (I tried a gin from Kyoto). There was a cover charge, and no menu with prices so we did not realize how expensive the bill was going to be (around 6,000 yen for one Japanese whiskey, one gin-based cocktail plus the cover charge). The bar staff spoke a little English and were very attentive to our needs. The atmosphere in the bar area was pretty quiet, so don't go here expecting a vibrant bar.

Prices are not transparent ! Tourist trap! I went there because of 4+ rating. Ambience and choices of liquors excellent! But they could do away with cover, 15% charge ++ . I had 3 glasses of wine and a regular Japanese whiskey. The bill ¥14000! About US$100. Felt ripped off. If they were nice and accommodating, my partner and me would have cracked a bottle of wine. That would have taken care of more than their cover charge. Beware!

A stunning collection of spirits. Scotch, Japanese Whiskey, Bourbon, Rum and lots of others dating back 100 years in some cases. No menu though. Come with some research about what you want to try. Or ask for a recommendation.

Great, private room experience. Excellent selection that rivals anywhere in the world. A truly great find. You’ll have to go downstairs, but they’ll be more of a challenge going up.

I was in Tokyo myself and had a great time here. The bartenders were knowledgeable and friendly, and introduced me to a variety of whiskys.

Great range of whiskies, but that's where it stops. Rude staff, unwelcoming, you have to ask for the price of every whisky they show you (as there is no list) and then made to feel low for asking. The staff stand there and watch you drink your drink. Although they're being very attentive it is extremely off putting when there is no smile with it. For a place that charges ¥1000 entry per person I'd expect to be treated with proper hospitality.
