Excellent on all counts. We took a family room for three with one double bed and a nice single bed. The room was spacious and came with it's own balcony. Bathroom is great with hot water facility. You can buy small snacks like cup noodles and ice cream and also bottle water. I used their coin operated laundry service 30 baht for washing machine and 60 baht for dryer. It's right next to Hummus Heads and a 7 Eleven is just round the corner. Good location for women and easy access to Lumphini MRT line.

S1 Hostel Bangkok is in the Sathorn area, surrounded by many office buildings. It is located on Ngam Duphli Alley, just a 10-minute walk to Lumphini MRT Station and One Bangkok. Since this is a business district, there are many travelers from different countries, including both tourists and business visitors. Because of this, there are many restaurants nearby, such as Thai food, Japanese food, Isaan food, Mala Shabu, and bars with live music and sports broadcasts. There is also a 7-Eleven and massage shops in the area. Why we chose this hotel:We picked this hotel because we are familiar with the location. It is easy to get to popular street food areas in Bangkok, like Banthat Thong Road and Chinatown (Yaowarat). From the outside, the hotel looks small with only a few rooms. Since it is called a “hostel,” we first thought it might not be very private. But after checking online, we found out they have private rooms with attached bathrooms at a very reasonable price. So, we booked a twin room with a private bathroom.Hotel facilities & room details:There is a small parking area for 4-5 motorbikes in front of the hotel. The lobby has a small check-in counter and sells drinks like water, soft drinks, and local beer. There is a common area where guests can relax, chat, and eat. To enter the room area, you need a keycard, making it more secure. Our room was in the building behind the lobby. The room is compact, so if you have a big suitcase, it might feel a bit small. Inside the room, there is a TV, work desk, and refrigerator. If you need hot water for tea or coffee, you have to go to the kitchen on the first floor, where there is a kettle and microwave. The room has a small window near the sink, but if you like big windows with a view, this might not be ideal.Security note: The door lock is only on the doorknob, so if you need extra security, you may need to take extra precautions.Overall impression:We think S1 Hostel Bangkok is a great value for the price. The hotel is in the city center, making it easy to travel around by car, motorbike, or MRT subway. There are also many restaurants, bars, convenience stores, and massage shops nearby, creating a lively atmosphere. If we have business in the Sathorn area again, we would definitely stay here again.

the room was not very clean, a cockroach ran out from behind a picture on the wall, there was a half-opened roll of toilet paper in the toilet, there was no soap for washing hands. It's ok for one night, but not longer.

the accomodation is 10 mins away from the subway, it was really easy to find and there's a 7-eleven right next to it. the room was simple but nice.

The hostel was alright, though the door did not really lock, and the shower came out at an angle. There was poor water pressure in the room as well. The location was good, and it was easy to get around from the hostel, but I don't think I'd stay there again next time.

Great location if you want to be near the city center attractions. The room had a bit of a musty smell though. Staff were okay when showing the room.

As expected for the price. Good option for budget travellers who want their own room and not to share in a hostel.Hotel is split in half hostel & hotel.Only downside is no lift/elevator.
