Fantastic area of Maó, teeming with fresh and locally sourced/made produce. This includes fruit, vegetables cheese and wine. There were also a few restaurants and eateries in the vicinity serving traditional dishes + tapas. Public toilets are also available. We purchased a fair few items from the market, all of which were unsurprisingly delicious and high quality. It really is pleasant to see such a strong community spirit here; a rare gem indeed.

Very nice part of Mao. The food we ate from merca tapas (pictured) was very dry and wouldn't recommend, but everything else looked nice within the food market. Beautiful area with a nice selection of shops. Unfortunately we weren't aware of the opening times and arrived just as a lot of shops were closing haha but we will come back earlier one day to really experience the shops.

Amazing place with lot's of local produce and artwork to browse through and some excellent bars and tapas to sample too plus it's at the the top of the lift to the harbour . Recommended but don't forget the 1 euro for the lady on guard at the toilet!

Visited on 19th and 20th July 2024: this place is less than a 15-minute walk away from Seth Port Mahón, where we were staying. There are a few small cafés, clothes stalls, shoe shops, cheese shops and stalls, a couple of off-licences, a mid-sized supermarket (very well stocked) and a few restaurants. The historic building is also of interest. A good place to stock up on essentials, browse and cool off. There are also public toilets available (none of which appeared to be wheelchair accessible).

Little gem hidden inside the fish market. Pinchos is the way to enjoy Spanish food, and there are bags and bags of it!!

Beautiful location and ideal for a few shops and public toilets

The building inside is great and the concept a good idea so worth visiting for the archictecture. Inside are small overpriced stalls of jewelery, clothes and tat. It is just there to catch out the tourists.

Nice small shop. Local food, drinks, souvenirs. Acceptable prices!
