We went to Sa Platgeta based on the many positive reviews. Unfortunately our expectations were quite disappointed. Location is nice since the restaurant is at few steps away from the sea. Regarding the plates, fried calamari were very poor of fish. We sent back the plate and they did it one more time. Appreciate that but Unfortunately we got the same result. Grilled fish was quite good instead. On a positive note, they did not charge the fried calamari in the end. Regarding the final bill, I don’t think it is fair charging 4 euros for a bottle of plastic water. Also, they charged a higher price for crema catalana compared to the price listed in the menu.

Best locals spot on Formentera that’s not a douchey beach hotel tourist trap. They offer half portions and herbs de Formentera on the house at the end. New fav spot. Def get the Formentera salad!

Amazing restaurant under the pine trees with a direct sea & beach view, they specialize in Paellas and it's a beloved spot under the locals for a reason, food was great and service was exceptionally friendly, considering the prices of some restaurants on the island this one is a steal, very good value! will definitely come back.

Sa Platgeta is still one of the places in Formentera where you feel the island roots -despite prices are updated on the high side as every spot in the island-: you get simple plastic tables, either on the terrace or in the middle of the forest.
You can get really good local food here, more especially, local grilled fish and paellas. We took the fried octopus and the fried local lobster and both were delicious.
Get ready to line-up if you don't book well in advance. We waited for 30 min at 14:30, but people right after has to wait for 90 min. You have 2 main waiting options: drinks at the kiosk (same owner) or beach time (literally in front of it) where the waiter is supposed to came to fetch you when ready.

Tip 1: choose a table under the hood if possible. Forest area is nice, but you have better views over the sea and you avoid the tree leafs that keep following on the table all the time and can be a bit annoying.

Had the massive anchovies for a starter and a main of mussels. 1/2 lt of a well made Sangria, finished off with the best tasting Hierbas Ibicencas to date. Great quality restaurant, right on the shoreline. Good views and good food, what more do you need?

Gorgeous local cuisine in a breathtaking location. We had the slow cooked octopus and the paella. They also have a good selection of fine. Price is reasonable for such an expensive island. Service was a bit slow and the desserts simple. We loved it though, and we’d be coming back for sure!

One of the most beautiful view and authentic restaurant on the island. I highly recommend “arroz negro” or “fresh fishes”

Great service, great food, great ambiance. This place brought me back to my childhood, when i would play on the beach as my parents would share a bottle of red wine. Everything fits in the picture. If you’re in Formentera and you’re looking for something authentic, don’t look further than la Platgeta
