This cooking class was such a great deal and beautifully put together! I joined the class hoping to learn more about Laotian culture during my trip, and I’m so glad I did. Learning about Laos through food was truly fascinating — the cooking techniques were quite unique and different even from neighboring Asian cuisines. The experience started with a local market tour. Our guide, Sing, was incredibly kind and explained everything with such care and detail. Then came the hands-on cooking class, where we made four different dishes. Each participant had their own station and plenty of time to cook at their own pace, with clear, thoughtful instruction. And of course — the food we made was absolutely delicious! But what makes this class truly special is that it takes place on a boat. Yes, you actually cook on board! Then, as the sun begins to set, you return to the boat and enjoy a relaxing sunset cruise — included in the price. A 5-hour experience combining culture, cooking, and a river cruise… all at this price? It’s truly amazing. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Laos!

Had a great time with Sing - he was even a minute early for the pick up from our hotel. We enjoyed going to the market first and learning about Laos food products, and the cooking was easy to follow, used all fresh ingredients and tasted great. The cooking class is great value and highly recommended.

Great day and experience at the SaSa cooking class. Highly recommend. Sing is a great teacher, full of good energy. The visit to the market was interesting and then step-by-step cooking aboard the boat. Very calm vibes during the class. And the food was delicious. Also gives you a free ticket to the evening sunset cruise.

We had a wonderful morning with Sing at the Sasa cooking class. He was professional and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The walk around the market in the morning was really interesting and Sing could answer all of our questions. The cooking class was just perfect. Well organised but relaxed, we always had.something to do but we're not rushed. Sing was great with the kids in our group. As well as cooking 4 delicious dishes, Sing showed us some great presentation techniques so once we sat down to eat, it felt like we were in a lovely riverfront restaurant. Highly recommend!

My friend and I took the cooking class with Sa SA and really loved it. We started the day with a trip to the main market to learn a bit more about the ingredients we'd be using and even picked up a few new ones to try. After the market, we boarded the boat to make a four course meal. Sing was a great teacher, and the food turned out absolutely amazing. I'll be making all of the recipes again. The sunset cruise included later in the day is also an amazing bonus. I highly recommend this experience!!

It was the right experience… We did not know nothing about Lous food. Sing, our tour guid and Chef, was great guide, we went to the local market with him and got all the info about local food … From there we go to the kitchen on the boot and proper the best dish i had!! Thanks for that Sing. 💐

Superb! I went with my two daughters and Singh was suuuper nice with them, always with a smile, and super clear about what to do. The tour of the market was very interesting. Singh told us heaps of info about local food and tastes. He even told us some folk stories about why buffalows don't have front teeth! The cooking experience was also excellent. Situated on a large traditional boat, we had all the space we needed but also a beautiful view of the river. We then got to eat on the upper deck. But I would say the added bonus: the recipes were simple enough so that we could repeat them at home, but also absolutely delicious!!! We loved the experience!!! Thank you so much, Singh! For the tour, the driving and.. of course the cooking!!!

My husband and I booked the cooking class & sunset cruise. What a fabulous day it was. Sing was amazing. He gave great information whilst showing us through the local markets. The cooking experience was fantastic and we made delicious food which we enjoyed for lunch whilst sitting on the top deck of the boat. Would thoroughly recommend this course. Sing was an absolute delight and a real asset to the business. Loved every minute.
