We stayed at this great hotel last week for our annual family holiday – we had an amazing time.||This check-in process was a little messy….. the lobby and reception was busy upon arrival and it felt as though the staff were a little overwhelmed with the amount of guest that were in the lobby at that time. The reception staff sat us down and took our passports to get us all checked in but we were left for over 30mins until we approach the desk to ensure we had not be forgotten about. We were advised that the check-in was busy and someone will soon return – which they did so soon after and we were able to get to our rooms. I think the staff could have done a little more to explain to us what was available to us at the hotel, like restaurants, shops, spa location, tours etc……||We had booked a family room, which was the x2 adjoining rooms – the rooms were great, nice clean modern rooms with a balcony. The bathrooms were also fantastic – they had a shower and a bathtub – great for a nice soak at the end of the day.|The food choices at the hotel were amazing - breakfast, lunch and dinner – were all a 10 out of 10, variety, freshness, taste, presentation – faultless. There were food options from all across the globe to cater for everyone. ||The pool area was fantastic, complement water, towels and staff ensuring any sun beds left unattended for a period of time were cleaned and made available for guest – there was no hogging up of sun beds.||We have to name check a few people individually who made this trip so memorable and the customer services was exceptional -|Concierge – Patel, was so warm and friendly, greeted us with a smile every time we saw him and any request for a cab or tickets to the theme parks was dealt with so fast and efficiently. Patel also showed us around the hotel on our 2nd day and took us up to the club lounge to take some great family pictures with sea views.||Spa therapist – Suthisa, if you want a great spa experience, you have to have Suthisa as your therapist – she was amazing on my initial spa treatment, I had to go for another treatment on our last day, never fallen asleep during a message but I did with her.||Buffet Manager – Abdul, every morning at our breakfast at Sim Sim we were greeted by Abdul, again with a warm smile and great hospitality, nothing was never too much for him and his team. Our day always got off to a great start because of him.||Pool Area – Samir, every day at the pool side Samir ensured we had fresh towels and cold water, regularly popping by to ensure we were all ok and to ask if he could do anything to make our pool side experience pleasurable. ||Si Restaurant – Hassan, at the Si restaurant we were hosted by Hassan, a wonderful gentleman who really went out of his way to make our dinner experience there wonderful. ||Rotana management really need to recognize these individual, they are great ambassadors to the hotel and because of them we had a great holiday - they went above and beyond to provide exceptional customer services.||If we were to be picky and find one area the hotel could do better – it would have to be to whole check-in experience. It wasn’t the best for us, maybe a one off and its was just us but it was the only bad part that we can honestly think of – everything after was totally awesome!||We had a great annual family holiday, one which we will look back on for years – will we go back? Yes! Is this hotel great for a family vacation? Yes! Would we recommend this hotel to friends and family for their holidays? Yes!
