We read about this wonderful spot on the Paris in My Pocket blog, and it did not disappoint! Fantastic food and great, friendly service. Would love to come back in the future.

Absolutely loved the intimate Korean Bar Food experience here. With a chef’s kitchen, experience, everything happened right in front of you from making the beer and Soju cocktail to the preparation of the bao buns. A small menu but everything we ordered was delicious. It hit the spot after a long day exploring Paris. And they were open late. 🫰🏽

Nice place, very chill. Just one star off for the fake avocado and overabundance of sauce. Keep it natural, there is no need to douse the food in sugar.

The restaurant is small but very warm and cozy. The waitresses were all very kind and helpful. The food was amazing, especially the desserts, for a very fair price

Food was tasty, service was good and quick. Prices are reasonable - came to 50 EUR for 3 bao buns, 3 sides, and 3 drinks.

Nice discovery close to Canal Saint Martin. Very friendly and warming staff, cosy place (very small - can be crowded!) and such tasty food. Loved everything, my Vege bun was AMAZING. Strongly reccommended :)

Very satisfying bibimbap with generous portions of deep fried chicken. Super cute decor. Fast service. The location is perfect near the canal, it’s a must on sunny days.

Everything at Saam is delicious. Special shout out to the pork belly bao and the fries, some of the best fries in Paris. The fried chicken is also amazing, definitely the best Korean chicken I have had in Paris and I've tried a lot. Before the service was pretty bad and the new waitress is also much better which makes me want to go back there more often.

It's a little cute space by Canal St Martin, we saw it while walking by and decided to try it as at this point I'm missing anything with rice. The menu is small, Bibimbap (pork, beef, vegetarian or chicken) and then the Bao with side a side dish. We ordered the beef bibimbap and the pork belly bao with spicy fried ch chicken. It's good and definitely fusion version. The beef was super tender and the veggies seasoned well. The bao was good but a bit tad on the salty side but the fried chicken was awesome. Not bad if you are sick of French food!

An awesome find in Paris! Was not expecting such a cute, homey feeling Korean restaurant in the area. I was tired of eating French cuisine and wanted something that reminded me of home. SAam was a bit more expensive than the quick Asian foo that I was expecting, but the flavor was authentic and delightful. I ordered the fried chicken Dak and it arrived quickly. Very crispy and the condiments (pickled cabbage) accompanied the heavy fried chicken well. During the short time I was there, there was A LOT of take out orders coming in. Lots of patrons came in as well, this place sure gets busy!

A very good Korean restaurant in Paris a little walk from République. I came here a few days ago and got the beef bibimbap dish. Everything was very good except the mayonnaise, which I ate around. The resto was very popular even around 2 pm on a Wednesday. The beef had a good marinade and the vegetables were cooked perfectly. I would definitely recommend to someone wanting to try a more unique cuisine in Paris, as I have not found many spots like this one.

Gah. I'm so torn. This place could easily be a three star but because there is no BAO alternative, they get 4! I've been to Saam twice, once for dinner and once for lunch. The people who run the place are friendly enough. The food is just average. My boyfriend has a French palate and he is obsessed with this place. I'm Korean American and I've tried Korean fusion baos all over the world and Saam really falls short. The baos have gotten bigger recently. The first time, we ordered five baos, kimchi rice balls, sesame chicken, and a dessert and we could have ate more. But when I went last week for lunch, I got two buns with the side salad lunch set for 13€ and it was extremely filling. Their BAO buns themselves are made in house and if you don't eat them fast enough, they get soggy. The meat/protein options are plentiful but my favorites are bulgogi and fried chicken. The pork belly is really awful so this is your advanced warning!! It comes out extremely thick cut and weirdly cooked. Their sides are good but nothing to write home about. The presentation of the food is cute and ambience is nice. They sometimes get so busy with online orders that they can't serve their customers which is a growing concern all over Paris. The space is small so come early to get a seat. So the food is filling but nothing I would come out of the way for.

I've had better elsewhere and I wouldn't come out of my way for this place, but this is as good as it gets for Paris. Real Korean people in the kitchen, as I can hear them speaking to each other :) Places is small and cramped and can get crowded. Prices are reasonable.

Great little find while exploring new neighborhood. Pork belly was moist, thick and fatty - perfect! Really enjoyed the lunch special deal perfect for refueling for rest of day.

Bao is the new black. In Paris, that is. And with all new trends my attitude veers towards cautiously curious rather than blissfully bonkers. So when I spotted this new bao-centric Korean canteen while strolling through my hood, I snapped some pics, added it to Yelp, and waited a bit for some feedback. But nothing came...so then I called up my culinary partner in crime Lucie C and we made it our Yelpy duty to check it out! And did we check it out! Hot damn, this place is crazy good! Not only is the space adorable in that we just threw this together in a week with some market finds and don't you wish you had our eye kind of way. The colors are bright, the space is cozy, the kitchen is open yet silent and the staff is warm and delightfully helpful. But the food!! Those buns are going to be my new best friends. I ordered the fried chicken bun lunch menu which consisted of a doughy delicious steamed bun filled with crunchy morsel of tender white-meat chicken covered in a tangy, sweet and spicy ketchup sauce with picked radishes. Heaven. A side of greens, scoop of potato salad and a little mound of sticky rice was served along side it. The drink was a refreshing homemade apple and pineapple water that was just so slightly sweetened. At 12E, you can't beat it! They also do take away so THIS is where you want to grab your meal before dining along the canal.

I have had this place on my to try list for so long, but have never got around to it yet. It has now sprung to the top of my list. Absolutely delicious!! And GOOD portions so you're not left wondering if you've just eaten lunch! For 14.50€ (weekend and evenings) you get a choice of 2 bao buns. We took pork and chicken, classic. You get 2 fried dumplings, some sautéed potatoes and a coleslaw type salad with it. We also tried the kimchi fried chicken with satay sauce as an entree. It was le top du top. Friendly service and food arrived quickly. I will be back, asap! Seul bémol: because of the tight squeeze, install some hooks or a coat rack as there is absolutely no space in the tiny half 1m2 you are allocated to comfortably install yourself.

Went to the Paris version of London's On The Bab for Korean buns @saamparis Ordered the Chicken and Fish but got the Beef and Pork Belly ones! The pork was great. Ginger lemon drink as part of deal was nice too. Lovely pommes that come with it all too hidden in dish. Thankfully Saam Paris gladly got me the Fish and Chicken I had ordered (and without charge). So 4 helpings of bun in one sitting! Fish was interesting and meaty but the fried chicken was a star. Got to love a bun! Lovely interior decor and open kitchen. Reminds me of a Wes Anderson film. Really lovely!

Hole-in-the-wall Korean joint, just down the street from Canal St. Martin that specializes in bun (steamed pockets of bread) sandwiches and funky sides such as fried kimchi balls, kimbat frite and dark sesame miel. A treat for the taste buds and wallet. My favorite is the Bulkogi bun, while my husband enjoyed the pork belly and our daughter enjoyed the fried chicken. House-made infused teas and "Korean Mojitos" should not be missed. They also have some wine and Korean and Japanese beers in bottles and a few home-made cakes for dessert. Normally I would have taken some food pictures, but I ate it all before I had the chance! We will definitely be back!

Good food and good taste, we order bao chicken and bulgogi. The portion its fit, not big but well enough. But honestly for the food and menu like that 2 bao plus salad €15, it's bit overprice. Can found cheaper and delicious food for the price like that. Not sure to comeback but at least nice to know.

I was super excited to try this little restaurant, and it did not disappoint!! For dinner, I got the fried chicken and porc belly buns, and both great. The fried chicken is korean style, so it's not crispy. It has a slightly spicy-sweet marinade on white meat (at least the one I had was white meat). It had some veg accoutrement, but I can't remember because I couldn't stop eating... The porc belly was also delicious!! It had a nice ratio of meat to fat, and it had these pickled onions in the buns that were added a nice acidity. The dinner menu allows for 2 or 3 buns and comes with a little salad and two small fried dumplings. Conclusion, not life changing but good!

This place has some of the best bao in Paris and is super cute too boot. It took a little while to get someone's attention after I sat down but they were nice after that. It's not any more expensive than the other similar restos in the area.

Finally, some good bao in Paris - what more could you ask for? This place is just adorably decorated on the inside - check out the pics. It is super tiny though so you might be a little squeezed in! The best time to come here is for lunch, because it's the best deal (alas, as always, right?). Personally, I thought that dinner was kind of pricy for what it was and I was still hungry after 3 bao (but then again, maybe I have a large appetite.) for lunch, that could have been fine, but at dinner I was still a little hungry. A little random and to be expected, but I came here during the heat wave last summer, and nope no air conditioning here! (Although that pretty much is the case everywhere in Europe haha). Although I enjoyed the bao at Saam, not sure if I would come back here or not (would prob try to get my bao fix back in the states). Or I would come again for lunch maybe when you get your money's worth.

Good value and the buns are very tasty! The restaurant is very cozy and it is owned by Korean so the food there are quite genuine.

Buns were yummy but portions were pretty small. Good flavors and delicous house made buns. Have a good lunch deal but alcohol was expensive.
