Sabai Corner Bungalows

Just a review for the restaurant which is in an amazing location on the water and super cute. Presentation was nice and we loved the hammock and viewing platform over the water. The food was just OK and the prawns were missing from one dish (went back several times and the waiter was so lovely and apologetic), but probably wouldn’t return, except for drinks.

Lovely location, on a headland, away from the road, with great views. I had a good ‘Italian’ breakfast there every day for a week, including a good cappuccino. They arranged a splendid boat trip, for 2 of us, to Phang Nga Bay. Highly recommended.

A wonderful restaurant right on the beach with waves washing over ten feet away. Multiple seating options are available, a platform with the ocean water underneath even has a hammock. The preparation is good and prices are reasonable for a remote island. During our stay of three days in Koh Yao Noi we took most of our meals in this restaurant!

The outdoor treehouse setting at this restaurant is really nice, and I was excited to try it for breakfast. But the service was disappointing. Our order was mixed up, the food took a long time, and several items were missing. When we asked the waitress about it, she was not happy! no apologies were offered for the experience, this really spoiled our breakfast. It’s a shame because the place has a lot of potential if they improve the service.

Left quite disappointed by Sabah Corner Lodges. Let me start with some good points; nice location, Koh Yao Noi is really wonderful and this is a peaceful corner of it. However, this does not give value for money at all. When you compare this to other properties in Thailand, this is far too expensive for what it is. The lodges are run-down and have not been upgraded/ refreshed for many years. There are no amenities, nor kettle in the room. Found lots of human hairs in bedding/ bathroom. Electricity kept short circuiting in my lodge, staff unapologetic. Hot water was also not working and used old heating unit. Staff were mostly friendly, but their focus seemed to be on upselling other services/ motorbikes for rent vs. actual engagement and genuine hospitality. Aware that this review is different to the many others, but I was left feeling I'd overpaid for this.

We stayed here for 2 nights and they have everything you need. We rented a scooter via the hotel for 250 baht per day and saw the whole island. Then the next day we booked a boat tour with them and it was one of the best days I have had in Thailand. The guide, who was kinder than you can imagine, brought us to multiple caves and lagoons and when we asked if we could jump off the boat he found a special place for us to do it even though it was not officially part of the tour, he did this with many things. During lunch we went to a tiny beach where no other boats passed for over 2 hours and he put up a little mattress and pillows for us to relax and had towels ready for after swimming. Needless to say we had the time of our life with the tour and the food that we brought, provided by Sabai corner, was absolutely delicious! If you’re planning on going to Koh Yao Noi and need a place that offers everything for a good price with good quality, this is where you should go!

Funky corner place with food and drinks that are quite good, especially the Pea leaf iced tea. You can renter scooters for very fair price and they have several cabins to rent. It is right on the water!
