Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge

Wow! I cannot even begin to express how grateful we are to the Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge Team! It was seriously the best family vacation we have ever taken! This was our first safari experience and we were not disappointed. Starting with Stephanie at the main office, our requests and needs were all accounted for with expert care! She was able to arrange air and car transportation for us starting before we even got to the Johannesburg airport! She planned a wonderful day tour of the city and scheduled us an excellent lunch and wine tasting. We hope to be able to work with her again! At the lodge, the rooms, the dining, and the game drives were all 10/10. We had the most excellent team, Bethuel and Mandla leading us each day. They were so knowledgeable and made sure we saw everything we wanted to see. The food was excellent the service by Moses was perfect. The ostrich egg omelettes were a huge hit with our group! We even scheduled a private South African wine tasting with lodge manager Conrad who was great! On the fourth day, we were so sad to leave everyone, tears were shed! We can't wait to return someday and hopefully see everyone's friendly faces again! Cannot recommend this place enough! We wouldn't have changed a thing about our entire trip!

We spent three nights at Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge. From the moment we arrived we were taken care of in the most incredible way. The food was terrific. Buffet style with lots of variety and diverse flavor profiles. First class.||The guides and trackers were amazing. Committed to making our safari experience memorable. They were willing ot go above and beyond for us on each drive.||One thing to note - their vehicles at Sabi Bush Lodge are excellently maintained. The ride is more comfortable than other Land Cruiser's we have been on. They also did a great job of taking care of us in rain storms as well as on the generally beautiful days we enjoyed.||Our server Thuli was incredible. Understanding our preference almost immediately. She timed everything perfectly and cared for us like we were her family.||Simon at the bar could not have been kinder and more accomodating.||Overall the trip was beyond memorable.

Our stay at Sabi Sabi bush lodge was exceptional from start to finish. The facilities were beautiful, comfortable, and perfectly integrated into the natural surroundings. Laurence and Conrad’s warm leadership and attention to detail made everything run seamlessly. Chane and Trevor-our ranger and tracker were outstanding, knowledgeable, passionate, and an absolute pleasure to spend time with, making every game drive unforgettable. Chef Dick consistently delivered delicious, beautifully presented meals that were a highlight of each day and Mama Z made every mealtime feel like hope! Sabi Sabi Bush lodge offers a perfect balance of luxury, expertise, and genuine hospitality. Highly recommended and truly unforgettable.

Lovely hotel, the rooms are magnificent. The bush surroundings are amazing. The twice daily game drives (included) were exciting, with a driver and tracker, that included morning coffee and afternoon cocktails served from the jeep, right in the bush. There was a lovely bar area with complimentary drinks of all kinds served throughout the day. Meals were offered buffet style, rather than served. The offerings were varied, but not always to my personal liking. Yet, the staff was friendly, attentive, and accommodating. This was a luxurious experience.

My family and I had a great experience here! To be honest, while the food was not bad (the lamb, game meats, and desserts at dinner were great, and the alcohol was not bad), considering the high price with which one would be able to buy Michelin star meals , I think that the food could have been better. The rooms were large and homely, no complaints in this department from me. However, the highlight of the trip was of course the game drives and bush walks. Our ranger Queen and tracker Anton were outstanding. They were highly skilled at locating animals from the most subtle cues (as a testament to this we saw all of the big 5 in the span of a single day!). But beyond that, they truly made an effort to impary some of their plentiful experience, make us feel welcome, and share their personal anecdotes with us. With many intimate encounters with the animals in the wild, this was a very special and unforgettable experience. I highly recommend them :)

Words cannot describe how special this place is. From the moment we arrived, everything was wonderful and it's hard to find any fault. I thought it strange that upon arrival some said 'welcome home' when it was my first visit but now I'm missing this place and the memories will last forever.|The room is so impressive- spacious and there is attention to every beautiful detail.|The staff are all so warm- anticipating every need. MamaZ made us feel like family from the first introduction. We were incredibly lucky to have Ulrich as our guide- such professionalism, enthusiasm and knowledge. He was so engaging and passionate in his delivery and tailored everything to our interests. The food is some of the best I have experienced anywhere in the world - it's buffet style but top quality, varied and kept interesting each night. There's nothing more I could have asked for besides staying longer!

Lovely lodge, but the beds need a refresh. Overall, the food was good, and vegetarian options were always available. Cleanliness lacked some attention to detail, but you are in the bush after all. ||The game drives were fun and informative but got repetitious after a few days. I wouldn't suggest staying four nights; three is more than sufficient.

It is hard to put into words our wonderful experience. My heart will forever be fuller because of the kind hearted people at Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge. Yes the property is amazing and seeing animals was more than I ever expected. But the kindness and care of Sam, Gladstone and Foster will never be forgotten. Sam and Gladstone love the land and you could feel it everyday. Foster was so caring and joyful to be around. Overall I am leaving behind family and a culture that will truly be missed.
