We stayed here for two nights. It is a small hotel with a restaurant. The room was lovely and had a few interesting details. Although it is beside the street, at some point the traffic slows down and the night is quiet.|There was no breakfast in the hotel, but complementary breakfast in a cafe nearby. |The owners were very friendly and forthcoming.|The hotel had a restaurant, which offers great food and wine with great service.

We visited at lunch on a Saturday in February and as we are English arrived at about 12:30 so were the first to arrive. The welcome was friendly and genuine and with one table reserved we had the choice of tables. We chose one on the patio (there are plenty available inside as well) and were presented with the menu and specials. We chose from the specials board - Pimientos Padron (€7), Croquetas (€7.50), Gambas Ajillo (€11) and Ensalada Queso Cabra (€9) from the main menu. The dishes arrived when completed which meant lunch lasted an extended time which meant it was very special particularly as the food was delightful. The servings were large and very tasty and the salad had some incredible goats cheese on it alongside some exceptional fresh tomatoes. The rest of the tapas were probably amongst the best that we have had here. The food was accompanied by 0.5l of house dry white wine (€9.50) and a bottle of sparkling water (€2.50). The location provided both enclosed patio seating and undercover internal seating should it be needed. The patio was bright open and an integral part of the building providing a peaceful oasis away from the road and the tourists outside. The patio was full within an hour of our arrival and it was it was a bustling charming mix of nationalities and dishes. We left after about 90 minutes and it really did make our visit to La Orotava exceptionally special Would we recommend it? - Completely Would we return? - Without hesitation!

Only been to the restaurant. Maybe it was just a bad day, but the service was a nightmare. We ordered 2 appetisers as soon as we arrived and 1 hour later we were served only 1 of them. It took them 15 more minutes to realise that they forgot about the second one and we ended up never getting it and had to leave, as we just went in for a quick snack and did not plan to spend 2 hours there. In the end the check included the bread that we didn’t order. We’ve been seeing other customers having their orders mixed up. The food and wine tasted really good, too bad we didn’t get a chance to taste more things.

What a great find. Such a unique, quirky, traditional Canarian hotel right in the middle of La Orotava. We'd only booked one night. We were greeted very warmly, given lots of info about the town and what was on. We also had lunch on the day we arrived, which was lovely, and service was excellent. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly like to return if the opportunity allows.

This historic converted mansion is situated in the historic centre of the city, only minutes away from main sites such as the famous "Casa de los Balcones" and the Iglesia de Nuestra Senora. The ground-floor courtyard and rooms are occupied by the respected "Sabor Canario" Restaurant (reviewed separately) and the hotel's handful of guest- rooms are located on the first floor. Our characterful double room was reasonably spacious, comfortable and well-equipped with free Wi-Fi and flat screen TV and, in keeping with the building, it was furnished in antique style. The en suite bathroom was small, but adequate for a short stay. ||The 2 main downsides were: (a) the lack of any nearby parking and (b) the fact that Reception was only staffed infrequently.

Highly recommended , If you want to try traditional Canarian cuisine in such a lovely place. Very friendly staff and delicious meals. We had a dinner and dessert with a coffee, everything well-priced. Thank you!

I stayed here with my elderly parents. The rooms and communal areas are very attractive and interesting; it felt a bit like we were staying in a local museum. The staff are great, very welcoming and we felt very well looked after. The beds are very comfortable and my parents both slept really well. We stayed in the suite which was ideal for us. The breakfast is quite basic but more than adequate and there is plenty of it. The restaurant made eating in the evenings very convenient as my parents were often quite tired and didn't want to go far. The food was very good; nothing fancy but well cooked and there were plenty of options to try regional cuisine. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Hotel is situated in a lovely old part of the town. Warm welcome at reception and we were quickly shown to our room. Lovely corridors adorned with historical items lead to the bedrooms, the bedroom doors are very tall! We had a clean, comfortable room with a massive, comfortable bed. We decided to eat our evening meal at the hotel restaurant which is situated in a lovely courtyard. Good menu, lots of traditional dishes served.Had a lovely chickpea and ham soup for starters followed by a very tender, delicious lamb shank. The following morning after a good sleep, we made our way to the breakfast room which had a good choice of breakfast dishes to choose from.
