Took a lunch at work from The Domain and tried this place hoping for good cuban food. I was greeted by a cool old guy, good customer service from this gentleman. To drink I got a guanábana juice, which it was pretty good. That's pretty much it.
Asked for a recommendation and he recommended the 3 oxtail pieces with a tamale and good plate of congris and 3 pieces of plantain. So I've ordered that.
Asked for a menu but there is no menu or prices posted, the guy tells you what he got I guess.
Only cash and the total was $28 which I can eat at one of The Domain's restaurants with that crazy price but I've decided to give it a chance..
Oxtail was cook but it was tough to eat and kinda dry. Tamale was ok. Congris was good. Plantains were kind of dry. I was expecting caramelized pan fried plantains but I was too hopeful I guess.
For the price I was expecting Rabo Encendido cooked to perfection that fell off the bone.
Not coming back unfortunately.
