Macaroons here were nice. Not too sweet with centers which were thick but not overpowering. The Citron one was really nice tasting like a lemon cheesecake (flavour and texture). The genmaicha one had a very strong tea taste which was really to our liking but overall it felt a bit pricey.

Great pastry shop if you are craving for delicate japan-related highlight flavors (yuzu, matcha, burnt rice tea). In particular, the yuzu pastry/cake was very delicate to the palate. For the matcha lovers, opt for the one named bambou. Quaint and clean settings if you go for indoor seatings. Reasonable price point if you weight in the pastry quality. Definitely a must-try if you are in the neighborhood.

The matcha azuki is one the best desserts I've tasted thus far. Matcha green tea and azuki are a match made in heaven, and the two flavours balances each other so well. The matcha azuki cake is a mousse cake with smooth and creamy layers. Sweet but not overwhelming, just perfectly subtle.

It is a fusion of nostalgic Japanese taste and French making procedure. The crust of chocolate are carefully made. However, I would say the rollcake and sorbet are really what you can find in Kyoto. The soul of the desserts are very Japanese. Especially when you taste the whole together. What I am referring to is nostalgic KANMIYA. I expect a more experimental style from AOKI Sadaharu, such as the Genmaicha eclair.

Very nice Macarons with delicate flavors & tartlettes . Only downside was that the cashier was not very friendly towards us. Even thought the shop was empty and we were the only costumers

Fall in love with the matcha cake in here. And the creme matcha azuki is fantastic too.
