We had the most pleasant experience in the cabin nestled among the big trees all around. The brick walkways thru the cabins and trees were so inviting and well maintained. Everything about the charming cabins was clean, tasteful, and well done. The whole experience was first class.

The place is very nice and the staff is excellent. They were so kind to my son and I and I cannot thank them enough. Highly recommend! It is so close to the village… You can walk there.

I had the most wonderful short stay at the Saddleback inn. I stayed in cabin 22 and it had everything I needed. The room was well presented & clean . The hotel was a short walk into the village. The staff were very welcoming & had great local recommendations. I ate in the restaurant that evening & it was delicious. It was a nice surprise that they had live music.

Arriving at the Inn brought back happy memories of our visit several years ago. The registration desk, the bar and restaurant all looked the same. Due to our upcoming stay, Saturday to Monday, we were unable to stay in a room upstairs like before, but Cottage #38 was suggested by Heather.|Karen at check-in was friendly and pleasant and went over all the details, although we were unaware that AC was only provided in the bedroom. She stated the AC and mini refrigerator should already be on, and there was an ice bucket there too.|Walking into cottage #38 was a bit of a shock. Minor, but not only was the AC not on, nor was the refrigerator and no ice bucket to be found. Granted this is a mountain cottage but it looked like it had been furnish from a thrift store. There were various mismatched tables, some with water stains, and stained chair seats. Most window blinds were damaged to some extent. The couch was well used and very uncomfortable so that evening we opted to crawl into bed to watch tv only to find tv would turn on but nothing else; Apparently, some plug on the back was pulled out. The AC was so loud that we found it difficult to sleep and crawling onto the couch was not even an option. The bathroom needed updating with the cracked tiles, sloping floor and dripping bathtub faucet.|Even the cottage's patio chairs, mismatched and the plastic one looked like it was on its last leg along with a very wobbly table and loads of cobwebs everywhere,|Sunday morning, we decided to at least try the provided continental breakfast, which was the standard faire - coffee, OJ, cereal, bagels, muffins, toast, etc. Nothing out of the ordinary. |Our reservation was "non-refundable" no matter what. We were so unhappy with the accommodations, that we left a day early and when checking out , the gentlemen didn't seem interested when I said it was "not good". He just gave us our statement, cancelled our dinner reservation at the restaurant that night, and that was it. I was extremely frustrated knowing the amount of money I paid for 2 nights and all we got was one sleepless night and a ruined birthday for my husband. I received an email from the Inn 2 days later asking for a review which I promptly submitted. No one reached out to me or even offered to refund one night. This return visit to what once was a memorable experience, was a huge disappointment and we have no intentions of returning.

If you're looking for a nice getaway with your significant other, this is the spot. My wife and I loved it here, the jacuzzi tub is awesome and felt more like a honeymoon than a getaway. Great weather in may.

My wife and I spent 3 nights here celebrating our anniversary. We rented one of the cabins and had an incredible experience . The staff was friendly. The location was great. We had unforgettable memories and look forward to our next visit. Thank you Saddleback Inn.

This is the spot to be in Lake Arrowhead! Only a few minutes to walk to the village, staff here goes above and beyond to help their guests. The level of customer service is phenomenal here, and we will be absolutely returning for our annual trip to Lake Arrowhead moving forward (Never again returning to ‘Lake Arrowhead Spa and resort’ - take our advice!!) You will not find a better lodging experiencing than Saddleback Inn!

Everything was great, rooms give a nice cozy vibe and the restaurant food was amazing. Definitely recommend their appetizer pot pie 🔥 The front desk staff were super friendly and helpful as well.

*DO NOT STAY HERE! The owner is manipulating people to leave good reviews.* I choose to stay here because of good reviews but I was incredibly disappointed. I checked in to Rm 15 after a day of mountain biking exhausted at around 8pm and the temperature in the room was upwards of 85 degrees! The central AC was not working. I should have asked to change rooms then but I was tired and they had a floor AC and a window unit so I turned both of those on in good faith. Sadly, the floor unit sounded like it was struggling and though they helped some, I fell asleep exhausted, and when I woke a couple hours later the room was still not cool. Another issue is one of the blinds was missing the adjustment rod so it would not shut and that let in a lot of light from the street. A lot. The mini fridge was not on either when I got in the room. Not a huge deal but for a $200+ room it would be nice to have a cold fridge with a water in it or to put my water in to keep cool. The WiFi was also terrible. It didn't show up initially and then went in and out a few times while I was using it. On top of these issues the room is very outdated, the sheets were starchy, and the hallways smell musty. The "free breakfast" doesn't start until 8am (this was a weekday and I was up at 7am hungry!) and is surprisingly sub par for what you pay for a room. It is Motel 6 quality. I've had much better at chain motels. These are issues I would expect from a cheap hotel not a 3 star inn/resort (they charge a $20 resort fee - for what I don't know because there are no amenities). My biggest issue was if they are putting someone in a room they should make sure the temp working and comfortable! I really wanted to like this place and don't usually leave reviews like this but this was too much. I shared these concerns with the staff in the morning and posted this review later that day. Two days later the owner called me and offered to refund me and comp me a free night IF I take my review down. I said I couldn't do that but may be able to edit it. He said he would refund me if I gave them at least a 4 star review. I thought about it and contacted him back to let him know that I am declining and just want them to do what is right and fix the issues. The owner then texted me and said "because of your review, you have my staff in tears. You hurt everyone. Is that really the way we're supposed to treat one another especially after the hell we have been through with Covid and the recession and my staff barely getting by. You have to do what feel is correct but a one star that was pretty excessive." Yikes.

Great food at the restaurant Accommodations takes you back to the old days. Both the hotel and cabins are a great place to stay. The restaurant serves the best steak and duck dishes. You need to call to make sure they have the duck and reserve one because it goes fast

Pros for the friendly staff and location to the village. Cons for The rooms that are very outdated and don't actually feel all that private with only blinds, especially in a cabin that was near the 7-11 and hotel entrance. I also saw bags of trash just out in the middle of walkways multiple times during my 2 day stay. The continental breakfast was ok, just wish they had the air on in the restaurant when they had it out. It was so stuffy. I don't think that I would stay here again but I will say the staff was great.

We stayed here for a nearby wedding. The pictures online don't exactly match how run down the rooms actually are. The property itself is cute and peaceful. The parking lot shares space with a 7/11 which is convenient and the lady at the front desk was sweet but those were the only positives. We had a cottage room. The chairs outside were not cleaned off and filled with puddles of water and leaves and the porch was dirty. The room smelled musty and a bit like cat pee. The carpet was stained and around the edges was lined with dust you can tell hasn't been vacuumed in a long time. The socket covers were falling off. The windows only had blinds, no curtains so we were up with the very bright sun at 6:15 every morning. The closet they provide is essentially a small short cabinet. The remote was melted and buttons were missing from the ac unit. Bed felt ok but not the most comfortable. The bathroom was decent however you would think with the massive tub they would keep it clean and in working order as a perk they provide. There were tub stains, and the jets have not been cleaned in I don't know how long. Our key cards also stopped working three times in two days and we kept them nowhere near our phones and had to keep walking to the front office to be let in. The rooms don't have phones so if you need anything you have to walk to the front desk and they provide only 2 body towels in the room so we had to go ask for more of those as well. The WiFi was another issue. It hardly worked and we kept getting booted off it. Which is tough when you're somewhere with less cell service. Overall We regret not spending a bit more to stay around the corner at the resort. This place would be much nicer if they put a little bit into fixing it up. It's very outdated and I doubt fully up to code. We wouldn't come back here again sadly.

What a hidden gem for happy hour in Lake Arrowhead. The bar/restaurant is located in a historic Inn with vintage decor. We didn't stay the night but the friendly lady at the front desk gave us a tour of a few vacant rooms. They were each a bit different in their layout, all with an original theme/decor that felt historic yet modern. The bar was fantastic, awesome food at great prices with super friendly staff. The chicken pot pie and wedge salad are not to be missed. I will always hit this place up for happy hour when in Lake Arrowhead!!

We will definitely be coming back. This place is a gem with its historical charm and prime location. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Pros: Very Cute Historic Friendly Service Clean Cute cottages (feels magical) Plenty of Parking Very accommodating. LOVE the bathtubs (big reason why I booked here). Dog & kid friendly place. Location Comfortable beds Cons: 1) WIFI is extremely bad. I couldn't even use it. If you want to work from home you won't be able to do it here. I go to a lot of small towns because my husband and I like the rustic getaways and this was by far the worst service we have ever had. Sometimes wifi is needed to look up stuff and places to go so this was frustrating. 2) I love the bathtubs but you don't get much hot water. Not enough to fill the tubs. The bathtub is one of the main reasons of what I come for because I don't have one at my home. Bathtubs are something I enjoy when I travel. Overall, we love this spot. It's so cute and charming. We will definitely be back to this place. I love having my own little cottage. We stayed in Cottage #37.

The Saddleback could have been a really nice weekend get-away. Unfortunately, cleanliness prevented that. Not sure if the maids were on vacation or not, but the couch, the chairs, the bathroom and the bedroom all had issues of stained cusions or pillows and someone's hair left behind. Fortunately, the room was quiet and much more secluded than a normal hotel!! That was nice! And the restaurant at the hotel was probably the nicest in Arrowhead. I will say, the only thing this cottage needed was some spot cleaning, winder and some bleach in the bathroom. Otherwise it was a great way to stay in Arrowhead!

First of all disappointed is only half of it. I ordered a drink & 20 minutes later the server came to our table & said sorry the bartender is too busy to make the drink I ordered which was lemonade & vodka blended. There was two bartenders my drink order was declined they were too busy!!! ! My husband and I ordered scallops - 4 - on a bed of boiled spinach - / no flavor! My entire was a salad that barely passed for a salad. How they let it out of the kitchen is a Question. My husband's fish was over/cooked with a small portion of harico, no flavor. All in all one soft drink one alcoholic drink the bill was $110.00 for two people! Outrageous!

Anytime I'm staying in lake arrowhead I like to stay at this hotel because of how clean the property is and how nice the front desk employees are. The rooms are fairly big and comfortable. Also it's closely located to restaurants, makes for a great weekend.

Karen and Kali at the front desk are so warm and friendly. Makes a great start to our stay. King suite #37 was great value and bed was very comfortable. I've seen people mention it's dated decor, but room is clean, comfortable, and has everything you need. Grounds are quiet at night. And the 7-eleven is right there for snacks, etc. walking distance to shops.

I spent some time before at this resort. We must have gotton the worst cabin they had this time. No fireplace old heater abd not the romantic night I wanted. we were greeted nicely however even though we paid a high price for the room we got, they charged an extra fee of $30 dollars abd the excuse was the Expedia is who we booked through. I have booked with expedia before and never got upcharged in any circumstance. So the management said next time book direct. so basically we were punished for not booking direct with the ugly duckling room. I can understand them not wanying a discount with expedia so dont use expedia to advertise then jack up the bill upon your arrival. very deceiving. I was disappointed especially after my first experience was never this negative until my visit last night. I was so disappointed I wont ever go back.

The inn was beautiful! The front desk lady was very friendly and helpful. The lobby doubles as the restaurant and bar. A lot of beautiful dark wood and painted wooden paneling. Some rooms are in the main building and some are little cabins. Our room was in the main building. It had a fireplace which was linked to a timer on the wall. The hotel was within 3 minutes of the Lake Arrowhead shopping center. It is the main place to shop in town.

Our previous visit some 8 years ago provided a great memory, thus choosing to spend hubby's birthday there in July. The gazebo area had a only a table and no chairs! I can't tell you how frustrated and upset I am knowing I paid nearly $500 for one sleepless night and a ruined birthday getaway for my husband. This return visit to what once was a memorable experience, was a huge disappointment. In good conscience, I could not recommend your business to our friends and we will not return. I was sent an email request to review our stay and I promptly submitted it with the same details. NO response was received from Saddleback Inn, which says a lot about their customer service concerns.

We're4 foodies and have eaten here a dozen times. It's a wonderful and historic feeling dining room, serving great to excellent food on weekends when their top chef is working. Avoid it Mon - Wed when the B team is on duty. The bar menu features great value, delicious meals. The steak sandwich is an epically good choice. But the star of their show is the schnitzel. The weekend chef was famous for his schnitzel skills in a classic LA Hollywood eatery and he's bringing his big talents to Lake Arrowhead. The early bird bar menu offers excellent value and, when you're up for a $$$ treat, the schnitzel will not disappoint.

We just returned from spending 3 nights here. It was very charming and rustic. Everyone working there was very nice, helpful and accommodating. Karen at the front desk is gem!! Thanks for the great conversations and hanging out Karen! The king bed was comfortable. If you're expecting a huge room at the Four Seasons then this is not for you! It's small and could perhaps use another table/shelf for storing belongings in the living area and in the bathroom. The tub is a huge jetted spa tub which was awesome to soak in after freezing outside for a few hours but it is awkward getting in and out as the tiles around it are freezing cold so you don't want any part of you touching it and our room had a front window that was east facing so we got the bright light coming thru way too early so that window could definitely use dark blinds/curtains. It's in a great location and walking distance to the village which is great because wknds/holidays it's hard to find a parking spot there. So just have a nice walk to the village, do some shopping and have lunch!

I stayed at the Saddleback Inn this past weekend with my sister who was visiting from Washington and my best friends. We each rented a little cabin #34 and #37. We were so pleasantly surprised at how wonderful the cabins were. When we arrived to check in we were welcomed by Karen at the front desk. She was so kind and greeted us with a wonderful smile. The room was perfect and the bed was so comfortable. We had dinner at the restaurant in the main house and it was exceptional!! Also the continental breakfast was all we needed before heading home. Every one of the staff members were awesome. We will definitely be back. Thank you everyone at Saddleback for making our stay perfect Sincerely Paula and Steph

The Bar happy hour specials are a good way to start! Plenty of seating if you don't want to sit at the bar.

Very pleased with our quick stay in Arrowhead. Cute place, lots of little cottages & rooms. A super funky & comfy vibe for staying the mountains. Easy parking, comfy bed... our room had a huge jacuzzi tub. Comp coffee in the main building in the am with a continental breakfast. Nice people, Karen at the front desk & all very accomodating. We had the pooch, Misty with us & it's a lovely park setting for a walk with her.

Absolutely loved our stay here!! We stayed in the Howard's Hanger room! So adorable,quaint and cute!!! Huge tub with jacuzzi!! So peaceful!!! The only thing I hated was leaving!!! Staff was great!!!

I sure am glad I didn't listen to the negative reviews. We opted to take a chance on this place despite some less than stellar reviews and have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of the accommodations. We stayed in a 2-story cabin with clean, comfortable king-sized beds, a giant whirlpool jetted tub and a little gas fireplace for ambiance. There's a 7-11 convenience store right next door so if you need anything it's easy to find. Check-in was easy and Karen was super friendly and personable. We have a small mini dachshund and they are pet-friendly! We had plenty of space to spread out. The place has wood floors throughout and is clean and quaint. The price was very reasonable. We'd definitely come back.

I LOVED the Saddleback Inn! Honestly, I didn't want to leave. The cozy cabin-style cottages were amazing! Mine had very nice furnishings, a gas fireplace, AC, heater, refrigerator, TV, a beautiful, gigantic spa tub in the large bathroom, and a deck-style patio with chairs to relax in on the outside. Many of the cabins were stand-alone and nestled under tall evergreen trees and lush landscaped greenery between cabins to give a homey and private feel. Everything was within walking distance. I could walk to the front desk and the exquisite restaurant/bar in less than two minutes. There was the nicest mountain cabin-style 7-11 I have ever seen right next door stocked with cool snacks, good wines, readymade foods, gifts, needs, ice, and super friendly staff. Robin was awesome! It was conveniently open 24/7 too. I walked to the main tourist attraction in the area, Lake Arrowhead with all the shops and restaurants, and the Lake Tour Ferry in 5 minutes. The town was full of friendly people, a nice slowed-down vibe, and a palatable feeling of safety. The Saddleback Inn was very reasonably priced for the experience. I had the honor of speaking at length with Michael at the front desk who was very sweet and personable, as well as the General Manager herself, Heather, who was so sweet, kind, friendly, and relaxed, I wanted to talk with her all day. She runs a very good business there and I cannot wait to go back again. They told me that business slows down in the wintertime but that's when I'd want to go back there. Evidently, they have some amazing Octoberfest happenings going on in October that sounds fun, and I can't even imagine how Christmas will be in that magical mountain wonderland.

awesome spot some places have a fire place which warms the area slightly, but the indoor heating is quick and cleanliness is 5 star. I enjoyed my stay here

My wife and I were up from Orange County for a few days and stayed here. Pros: -Within easy walking distance of the Village. -Rustic room with a fireplace and good AC, as well as a refrigerator and microwave. -Jacuzzi tub/shower. -Nice restaurant attached to the hotel. Cons: -The first person we had contact with, the front desk clerk, was not particularly friendly. -We found hairs in the tub before we used it, so we only took showers, to our disappointment. -The configuration of the room was such that the TV was at a right angle to our bed, uncomfortable to watch. The next time we come up, we probably won't stay here.

Everything was very good. The only issue we had was our table being swarmed with bees on the patio. After a move, all was okay. Reasonably priced for the area and what we got.

nice quaint hotel. Nice staff and room was nice upstairs Buffalo Bill room. We enjoyed our stay and the restaurant was FANTASTIC

One plus was that i was able to reschedule and use the cost towards a different stay, originally i was told no i would lose the money because it was less than a week before the stay, but that was at least better then losing money. i honestly had a reason i needed to cancel. There's really no good place to stay that is quiet. We heard every car door slam, every child talking. The rooms echo. The fire was little more then a pilot light on a gas fire. The bathroom was huge, bathtub huge but no drain plunger. Faucet was corroded and pretty disgusting. The space heater was loud. The restaurant was good, food was good. Location was convenient to the village but again the noise of cars killed the mountain vibe.

We have been enjoying this restaurant for years!!! The menu is decent sized with specials every time. Try the Pear Martini you won't be disappointed

This is one of the best places I have stayed. It shows its age in places, but overall I felt comfortable and well taken care of. Our cottage #25 was a two bedroom, two floor accommodation. As there were only two of us we had plenty of elbow room. The beds were clean and comfortable and I slept like a babe. Most everything worked, although the upstairs window hardware could use some love. We didn't have to mess with heat or AC as the weather during our stay was glorious. We enjoyed many hours sitting on our porch reading, relaxing, and listening to the wildlife. We ate at the Saddleback Inn restaurant three times during our stay and enjoyed each and every meal. Having such a great establishment on the same property as our room made the nights so very relaxing. The location of the property is outstanding. It is a very short walk to the heart of Lake Arrowhead. Also the property connects to a series of lightly used roads that follow the contours of the hills through heavily forested neighborhoods. We had two glorious long walks along these roads.

Service was superior from reserving prior week and checking in. Will add more after golfing.

We had a great stay in the 1bedroom Suite. It was the perfect size for our family of 4. We were able to check in early and were given helpful instructions about the inn . Easy parking with our stay. The place was clean, came with lots of towels and extra pillows were in the closet upstairs. Both TVs have cable access and the lodging has reliable WiFi. We didn't dine at the restaurant in the lodge but I have a feeling it's worth the reservation. The menu looked yummy but with our young kids we were more of a pizza in the hotel room type of phase. The heating works well and as instructed almost too well so turn down the upper level once ideal temp is reached. If you plan to dine or snack in the rooms just being paper plate and or silverware. 7-11 is across from reception building and sells them though. Easy walk to Lake Arrowhead village. Less crowded on the Friday that we arrived compared to Saturday. Our place is a jacuzzi timing and it was so large we easily bathed our kiddos with the wide base. 2 young kids woke up rather early, it was quiet enough that they fell asleep by 8pm and up by 6am! We also had our dogs since they allow them in the suites. We were able to take all of them on hikes nearby. McKay park has a playground and dog park across. Lake Gregory was about 15 minute drive away and we did a walk half around lake. We also enjoyed a nearby brewery Lake Arrowhead Brewery and the various food vendors there 2 evening in a row. The bartenders helped us find activities to take kids to.

This review is unique because we actually never got a chance to stay here but I think it's pretty amazing of that they called us to refund us because the roads are completely closed with the horrible storm this weekend! Very very much appreciated and next time we play on to go to lake Arrowhead we will definitely be staying here! Just wanted to reach out because I feel that they went above and beyond

Always good. NY strip is finally on the menu as a regular and is delicious especially how they do it w bleu cheese. Love the salads. The schnitzel is my favorite on the menu and the duck is a must. Mashed potatoes are ok just not consistent. Some nights great some nights not. Jenga ribs are amazing just whole lot. The appetizer is the way to go so you can eat an entree too! Bread pudding is the perfect close to a good meal. Oh I cannot forget Jasmine! Greatest bartender up here.

Very good and filling food. Classic ambiance and menu. Feels like a place with history and food is legendary.

This place is magical! Adorable, affordable little cabins in the snowy mountains less than a mile from Lake Arrowhead and Lake Arrowhead Village! Heather was amazingly kind and accommodating. They even allow pets and the atmosphere is just amazing!

Stayed here for a couple of nights and we were relieved to leave. The workers were friendly but the service was very poor. I called and asked for new towels/sheets and the attendant told me to come to the front desk to pick them up (I've never been at a place that doesn't bring them to your room). Our room felt like an oversized closet. We had a queen bed which was totally fine but we barely had any room to even walk around the sides of the bed. We had a spider come out of our bed sheets (probably because of our door, which would not close unless I slammed it shut with all my strength). Breakfast was literally nothing but fruit loops cereal, bagels, and juice. It's wrong to actually advertise that as breakfast. Both days we stayed were rough. Would definitely not come here again!

The staff was very warm and welcoming, and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere and good food, and it's walking distance to the village (the positives). Our room, sadly, was in bad shape. The cottages are cute on the outside, very woodsy, but as we entered our room we were very disappointed. Our room had a musty/stale smell that we could not get rid of. The carpet, curtains, furniture, and areas around the room were dated and worn down/chipped/corroded. Our door had a small gap at the bottom which let creepy crawlers in. We ended up leaving a day early.

(5 stars) Cleanliness - average overall, but there's some dust on the corner + edge of carpet (3 stars) Other: there is Seven Eleven (24-hr open) right next to the hotel (5 stars)

Truly the worst hotel I've ever been to. Our room was a mess. Toothpaste on the duvet cover. The shower curtain wasn't even on the hooks and the hooks had mold and mildew on them. One of the lamps was held together by electrical tape and there were burn marks on the rug. WiFi didn't work and parking was rough. Also; the room was 58 degrees and the fireplace didn't work. That was so disappointing, we were really looking forward to I was so disappointed! It was Valentine's Day and we don't usually celebrate AND going to lake arrowhead was the first trip my husband and decided to take since covid happened. Covid or not, the conditions were unacceptable. Especially, the cleanliness. The gentleman working the front desk was very kind. From check in to him offering our money back when they didn't have another room. He was apologetic and happy to help. That was the only good part and the only reason this review gets any stars.

The inn itself is so cute, but we stayed in a cabin and could hardly sleep because of the horrible mattresses. Unbelievable. Won't stay again. Shame on you.

We had a great stay! This is not a luxury hotel, it is more like cozy. The staff is amazing! Friendly and helpful all the way. Location is great. Easy walk to the Village, or, you can walk the other direction and have a quiet walk through the residential neighborhood (my dog loved it!). Very pet friendly and very quiet. The property is made of a few different buildings and some of the rooms are "cabins" that you have all to yourself. Very comfy beds. They have a free continental breakfast (cereal, bagels, danish and coffee). Although you have TVs in the rooms, there isn't much selection but we didn't watch much TV anyway. Wifi was good (and free).

It was an awesome stay just a fast get away from the house ...dinner was awesome here ..the people were extra nice that work here ..room nice and clean ..... well I go back just an hour away from the house ..yes I will worth every $$$$$$$

Stayed at this great inn a few weeks back. The cottages are homely and clean and cozy. A huge part of this grade was the amazing customer service provided by the staff, both over the phone and in person when we got there. We were able to book a weekend stay quickly and painlessly at the last minute. The lodge is a very short 5 minute walk away from Arrowhead village, attached to a 7/11, and across the street from a pizza place. Not to mention their restaurant, which built a sweet outdoor patio for Covid compliance. It was really nice eating outdoors in the nice weather that day. For a quick weekend getaway with the family, this inn in highly recommended.

Such an amazing concept! I would love to give the highest rating but, the room is very dated, with broken blinds, old carpet, not enough outlets and lack of maintenance and upgrades. Fantastic location, staff was kind and welcoming.

Charming cottage. We stayed in suite number 40 that's a 3 bedroom 3 bath suite. It's larger than expected. All rooms have their own restroom and you'll need a room key to enter your room within the cottage. There's a small fridge, small sink, small coffee maker and microwave. The restrooms are old but very functional. The wires are crazy hanging from the TV but didn't bother me, the carpet is red and old but again didn't bother me. Keep in mind this is a cottage and has character, if you're looking for modern Amenities this isn't the place. It's tucked up against woods, across from a 7/11 and walking distance to the village. It's located on a fairly busy highway however the trees and setting made up for it. The chimneys in each room are easily turned on and it's cozy. Honestly can't complain. They were sweet at the front desk and I'd love to stay again. Oh being your own toiletries and they don't give you enough towels but I'm sure a phone call could fix that. Great experience.

We stayed here over a holiday weekend (Veteran's Day) and were able to book a room with two double beds and a rollaway. We are a party of six so this was a perfect room for us. (One was an infant and she was in a pack n play that we brought). Our room was "45-Eagle". It had a small fridge with an actual working (tiny) freezer. I have ice packs and snacks so I always appreciate a fridge/freezer combo. Note: there is only a standup shower which was ok for us but I know that traveling with kids often dictates the need for an actual tub. This place is really cute with small individual cabins. There are a lot of stairs so keep that in mind if you need to schlep back and forth to your car. They offer a free hot breakfast which had eggs, sausage, home fries, fresh fruit, cereal and toast. There was also a coffee/tea/hot chocolate station. Breakfast is served in their restaurant which we also had dinner in with friends. I was easily able to get a reservation for nine people (!) the morning of our dinner. Our large group had a little bit of everything and everyone was happy with their selection. Lovely desserts too - a VERY rich chocolate cake was a crowd pleaser. Our purpose for this trip was to visit Skypark at Santa's Village and this is about a seven minute drive from there. After the taxes and all that the room was just under $200 a night but it saved us from going up and down the winding mountain road. Additional note: the hotel shares a parking lot with a 7-11 (no gas station) and that was super convenient since we were traveling with kids. We were able to start our day with Slurpees all around! I would absolutely stay here again. Good location, nice breakfast and restaurant, clean location, and friendly staff.

Saddleback Inn is quaint, nestled into the forest. It is walking distance from Arrowhead Village. Staff was very helpful and accommodating with our reservation, and with suggestions for activities and trails. Restaurant is beautiful. We look forward to our next visit.

I spent a relaxing, rejuvenating weekend here. My cabin was cozy, quiet, equipped with super jacuzzi bath tub and fireplace. I was footsteps away from restaurant and bar all located in a 100 year old building. Very charming. Hot breakfast every morning, eggs, sausage, potatoes, cereal, juice, and coffee. This was all a short walk from Lake Arrowhead which has shops, restaurants, and park. Wonderful experience
