Nice campsite with plenty of space and friendly staff. Toilets/bathrooms are quite clean, and you never have to wait long. Lovely views of the lake. We also rented a rowing boat for a cheap price. Will come again 😊

Very nice location with the possibility to rent directly a kayak or a small boat. 4 min shower per 10NOK which is OK. People very nice at reception , and plenty of space. Small playground for kids too.

This is a nice camping site surrounded by great nature. It has toilets, showers, family room with shower and toilet, kitchen, washing area and a reception/kiosk with basic necessities. Cleanliness was okay. It has a basic playground for kids and some boats for rowing.||There is not much to do around but downtown Eidfjord is only 5 minutes away for some shops. The Norwegian Culture Center is 15 min walk from campsite which includes a restaurant.

Very picteresque campsite near the fjord. Came here car camping with a tent and it was perfect for us, setup near the water side. Nice facilities, payment was simple with the online payment system.

We had a very nice and pleasant time at the campsite. The owner is very friendly and helpful. We arrived late in the evening, which meant we could not check in. But after contacting the owner, we were allowed to choose a nice spot to pitch our tent and then come and pay the next day. We thought this was really cool! Eventually we found a spot at the edge of the water with a view of the Eidfjordvatnet. Thanks again and see you soon!

Overall the place is nice and clean. The views are also amazing, however the owner is rude and not very welcoming. I had a feeling that we were the nuisance rather than valued customer. He needs some serious customer service training. Also some showers did not work and we lost the coins for nothing.

Good place to stop on the way but not a destination. It was not too crowded and there are some tents as well as cabins and a place for massively oversized human-transporter aka road blocks aka campervans. We used a tent and car so I cannot speak to facility for oversized-house-on-wheels-y-not-just-stay_home?-mobiles. Cabins look okay. Showers and kitchen were just okay. Cleanish. Free WiFi. Place for your trash. As far as swimming goes it’s not good. There is no decent place to enter the water . It looks nice of course. The grass here is very damp even at the end of summer. There is a persistent problem with garbage bees (wespen). I’d suggest they cover the composter. It’s wide open with “wasps/bees” everywhere in the trash and through the camp. Lots of long leg spiders! River too fast to get into. The local pizza place is nice. The “deserted” village is not deserted so don’t bother them. In short, stop if you must but we’ve seen world class camping and this is not one of them by far. I regret wasting one of my vacation days here. Come late, sleep, and move on in the morning.

Beautiful, beautiful campsite. We only stayed one night with our campervan and chose the option with electricity. Check-in was amazing, super smooth, and the bathrooms were very clean and well-kept. It’s a small campsite but very lovingly maintained with amazing views of both mountains and a lake. Highly recommended and we’ll be back if we’re in the area!
