We stayed for 3 nights in a 3 bed studio with hot tub. We had a lovely view of the fjord. The studio was perfect- great cooking facilities, comfy beds, loved the hot tub, very quiet etc. the walk into town was quite easy even in snow- the botanical garden is very close and it’s about 15 mins to bars and restaurants in town. If you don’t want to walk far a car is probably needed. The bus from the airport stops right outside so it’s very easy to get to. Huge thanks to Paulina for all her help- she has been wonderful answering my questions and letting us check in early etc. we will definitely come back we loved it here and it’s great for fabulous work if you want self catering etc

Saeluhus Hotel in Akureyri provided a perfect retreat during our Iceland tour. The room was well-equipped, clean, and the views from the balcony were stunning. The hotel is conveniently located near Akureyri, making it easy to explore the town and nearby attractions like the Myvatn Nature Baths. A wonderful place to stay in North Iceland!

Great location first and foremost, the view from the little balcony over Akureryi shores is lovely. A nice short walk into the city.
The apartment is large, kitted out with some good amenities. Hot tub worked and was a nice added extra!
However, rooms were not as clean as you'd maybe expect (mainly dusty), with the outside balcony area needed a thorough scrub.

Great way to see Akureyri and have a view, too. Kitchenette fully equipped. Large room. Quiet surroundings, so long as your neighbors behave. Not all rooms have hot tubs, so take care when you book. Easy walk into town. Plenty of free parking. I hope to return.

The location of these bungalows is simply stunning...we sat in the hot tub overlooking snow covered mountains and the fjords in blissful, private peace. The hot tub on the terrace was clean and heated with geo thermal water to a perfect 39c. We had all the kitchen equipment we needed, including a dishwasher, microwave and hob. It's located just steps from the bus stop -all city buses in the town are completely free -& 15minutes walk from the supermarket, swimming pool and maybe 20minutes from the town centre. The staff were so incredibly helpful, ordering taxis for us and telling us about the sights of the town. (Note: it's a 15 minute walk to the free bus to the Forest Lagoon, which is definitely worth a visit).

Best place I’ve ever stayed in Akureyri in the 8 times I’ve been here. Close walking distance to food and shopping and the views are Amazing!! The 3 bedroom houses are so beautiful and they come with your own hot tub! The lady that checked us in was so nice and even gave someone in our group a ride to the city center for dinner!! 10/10!!

We stayed for 2 nights and was experiencing severe weather with strong winds and snow sleet. The apartment kept us warm and toasty they even have heated floors. We just scoot out to buy groceries from nearby bonus and cooked in the apartment. And just soak in the hot tub that was perfect! Everything was provided for. On the day we are leaving, the weather didn’t look good at all so I texted them to request for late check out. They were very kind and immediately conceded our request and just asking us to stay safe. We feel warm in the heart. 10 stars for them ❤️

Enjoyed our one night stay during our ring-road trip in our van. The hot tub is really lovely, the apartment was clean and had all the amenities we needed. There isn’t a washing machine/dryer in the smaller apartments but there is a free one you can use near the reception which is 24/7 so that worked out fine ☺️
