Safari Inn Motel Swift Current

Came down and stayed here for 9 days for work, I was originally going to go to the Travelodge but I was recommended to go here instead. The man at the front was incredibly helpful and stopped at nothing to provide a good experience for me and my coworkers, even offering to do our laundry for us! The rooms were kept clean and tidy, sure they show their age but they keep them in very good condition. Especially at the price, no complaints to be had. If you're staying in swift especially on a budget, I wouldn't recommend any place more than the safari!

I stayed in October and at first I really liked them. Then the manager took 5 packs of smokes from my Mom, who is trying to live there. He wouldn't pay back the cigarettes and had a hissy fit when confronted about them. He doesn't clean my Mom's room and now he's shut off the heat in minus 20 or minus 30 temps. He raised my mom's rent by 50 percent and is not providing basic services of a motel. She could get a nice place for what she is paying for a motel room. The room I was in when I visited in October reeked of stale death, but I got a lower rate. The stench was probably why. The soap dispenser was empty.

My wife's 4th time there & my 1st. Next time we have to overnight I'm Swift Current, this IS where we'll stay. It's an older motel and it shows, but it was clean, bed/sheets clean, A/C worked wonders (+30 outdoors), shower was fine (a little low but fine) TV worked, WiFi worked.... Honestly, no real complaints at all, and for about $60, we'll worth it. Even got a KFC next door and a 7-11, A&W, Rita's family restaurant, and gas station very nearby.|If you just need a reasonable place to sleepover (and don't need any hoity-toity garbage), I recommend it.||If you need the bed turned down for you, room service, a Starbucks and a gym, go somewhere else.

The manager has complained on numerous occasions how arrogant and corrupt the owner is. He has "borrowed" items from me and when I asked him to return them he became enraged and withdrew all services. He then raised my rent by 50% without notice and demanded immediate payment.

My room was good but not great as the thermostat didn't seem to work so it was quite chilly in the roomwhwn I woke up at 2 am. I tried adjusting the heat but the knob was missing from the thermostat. Other than that the bed was comfortable and the decor is dated but but functional. The guy at the front desk was accommodating and they let me plug my Tesla in for the night!

This is an older place, things are a bit run down, but the mattresses (2 double beds in room) were perfectly firm, and the "kitchen" table and chairs were clean. Tub had a dirt ring, coffee pot was cracked and soap pump didn't work. Hopefully the staff were able to address these issues as I left them a note. The cheap price reflects the value of the place, so that's reasonable.

the place was pretty gross. we arrived at 11:30pm and we got the cheeta room. we entered and it smelled so bad of cat pee and it was pretty hot. all fire alarms in the place were broken and around 2 am two people were talking really loud and turned their tv all the way up. the bed sheets smelt bad and the water had a weird taste and smell.

Only giving 1 star, because 0 stars is not an option. Upon arrival, I discovered blood on the radiator, a fun "white mystery stain" on the bed, bugs on the ceiling, and the window had a hole in it. When I let the front desk know that I would be checking out within minutes of arriving due to the above mentioned nastiness, the employee shrugged his shoulders and said "oh ya, we know". As I was travelling alone, I felt very uneasy and was luckily able to find a room at a different hotel. I'm not sure who exactly they paid to give good reviews about this place, but please don't stay there - you will not feel safe and you will likely leave with some unexpected friends (bugs) in/on your bags. I am trying to get a refund from the hotel and have been unsuccessful thus far - regardless of whether or not I get my money back, if this review saves someone the hassle of having to scramble and find a new hotel room at 8 o'clock at night in the freezing snow, that's worth it for me <3 The owner of the hotel called me while I was writing this review to accuse me of lying to the booking company about his hotel. I have sent a detailed email to the Saskatchewan Public Health Inspectors in Swift Current so they are made aware of the unsafe and disgusting conditions that exist. I sincerely hope the owner reads this and makes the changes they need to make their rooms better.

Cute, simple, welcoming, clean, air conditioned, good bed. Each room is tagged with a safari animal...a great idea. Fast food places for morning coffee within walking distance. We stayedin the giraffe room. Appropriately priced. We recommend this budget motel. It was full when we stayed so better book online.
