Came in the evening and only the manager and 2 other staff working. One staff opened up another lane to check a customer out and so I thought he was open, so as I approached his lane, he swatted me to go away (rude), ok your closed, so I went back to the manager lane. Guy in front of me gets flagged over by the staff who just told me to go away bc he's closed and the guy in another lane got checked out...wth?! I felt a little racism there ..then another checker steps in and asked me to come over and as I'm approaching his lane, manager was like "no", so back to the Manager's lane I went for the 2nd time...at this point I'm a little pissed and irritated with the back and forth. So that checker came over to Manager's lane (when he could've just helped me when I walked over) to check me out, rang everything and stares at me and ask if I wanted bags, , yes..and he's like do you want me to bag for you (mind you, everyone else before me got bagged, so I assumed my grocery was gonna be bagged)...I said if I knew I had to bag my own groceries, I would've done so and not hold up the line. A little customer service or communication would've helped.
Think I'll try my luck at Raley's, Whole Foods, or even Grocery Outlet next time I need groceries. Do better Safeway....
