Saffron at Banyan Tree Krabi

Wow! Just wow! The service of this restaurant is spectacular! We went there to cap off our honeymoon in Thailand and it was a very good decision. We didn’t stay at the Banyan Hotel but they allow outside guests to dine. The moment you arrive at the hotel compound you already feel very special. Their staff is super attentive and tailors fit their service to you. They have a very pleasant service flow that we never experienced in any other restaurant. The treats don’t seem to end! Special hand wash, cold towels, amuse Boucher, complimentary dessert! And the view is amazing! We arrived at 6PM when the sun was still about to set and you could see the color of the sky change from blue to orange to purple. They also provide mosquito repellant oils for people who wish to dine outside. Some couples can also reserve the bird's nest tables but do it in advance as it is always full!

Saffron is not the only thing that gives 5 stars to Banyan Tree chain. Nanny, the staff I met today at Krabi facility is the one who made my day at Banyan Tree Krabi. The food here is delicious enough but it will never be perfect without Nanny’s hospitality and signature Thai’s sincerity. The restaurant in a 5-star hotel usually just meets a standard for both food taste and service. However, Saffron is different and probably makes Banyan Tree still one of the best hotel chains. I wonder how they make Thai dishes that satisfy both authentic Thais and foreigners within the same menu.

From the moment I walked in, I was warmly welcomed with a thoughtful Thai touch — an orchid flower and fragrant hand cleansing. Khun Noogie and the service team (Khun Nanny, Khun M, Khun Green, and Khun Lookked) were incredibly attentive and made the experience truly special. Every dish was outstanding! The Por Pia Puu with Mango Sauce was refreshing and unique. The Gaeng Puu with Bai Cha Plu was rich, aromatic, and full of depth. The Khao Phad Nam Prik with Braised Pork was so flavorful that I finished it without even realizing. And last but not least, the Miang Som-O with Crispy Fish brought a nostalgic taste of traditional Thai cuisine — perfectly balanced with sweet, sour, salty, and spicy notes. Fantastic food, exceptional service, and an unforgettable atmosphere — highly recommended for anyone looking to experience authentic Thai cuisine at Saffron Restaurant.

Our evening at the Saffron resteraunt was a truly magical dining experience. The staff was so kind, the food was extraordinary good and the view from the lobby and the resteraunt is breathtaking. We recommend coming around sunset time. The location is perfect for a special occasion.

Need a dinner reservation to go in. Place is amazing, staff is super polite and nice. Food is splendid. It’s modernised Thai food. Very polite staff, had a wonderful time! This place is worth a visit ❤️

Elevated and modern Thai cuisine that offers authentic taste with elegant presentation. As the hotel is far away from the city, Saffron did take good care of my tummy during the whole stay here. All ingredients are fresh and cooked perfectly. To complete full experience dining here, pairing your meal with variety of drink menu available is a must. Great services. Highly recommended if you visit here.

We had dinner at Saffron twice during our stay and it was so good we also went for a wonderful cooking class with Chef Day & Nanny. The food was superb, we would highly recommend the crab curry and the starter sharing platter and if you do get the chance, take the cooking class - we loved our afternoon in the rain forest kitchen learning some Thai dishes with a twist……hoping to be able to replicate on our return home.
