The room I stayed in was beautiful, comfortable, and clean. The view was stunning, and if you enjoy watching sunsets, this is the perfect place! I enjoyed my stay there and will definitely return whenever I visit Koh Chang.

What a delightful place! I just spent 3 days at Saffron with my friends and we had the best time. The rooms are spacious and tasteful. The garden is simply incredible and so well kept, a tropical paradise! Food and cocktails were very good too. It was amazing to be able to jump in the sea at sunset, with nobody around. Very quiet and secluded little resort. The staff and owner were also very kind and welcoming. I highly recommend. 🙏🌈🌿

Absolutely amazing food, staff are lovely romantic location and the rooms are amazing, super clean modern, free of mosquito with TV, AC, lovely bathroom and Fride kettle etc location gets a 4 only based on whats close by, if you want an island escape this is a 5! there is a massive supermarket within walking distance and a couple of Thai restaurants that stay open later than Saffron which closes at 8pm Water entry is possible but keep in mind its not a sandy beach but rocky, take care entering as the rocks can be slippery when wet

The Saffron on the Sea is a small resort in a very beautiful and quiet location on Koh Chang's Pearl Beach. We spent 4 days here and felt very, very comfortable. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. A scooter was organised for us and laundry was arranged. We had breakfast once and dinner three times in the adjoining restaurant, which was really delicious. The sunset with a cocktail on the terrace is particularly impressive. There is no sandy beach here, which is a good thing as it is less crowded. A supermarket and a very special vegetarian café are within walking distance. All in all, absolutely recommendable!

Stayed here for a week and loved it! + cozy, modern rooms with spacious shower space + lush garden, very chill surroundings + one of the best sunsets I've seen on the island + convenient location if you drive (car or scooter). Good road and situated between 2 major hubs. + very silent and sirene. Saw many birds visiting the coastline like King fisher, loads of herons and sandpipers. + the beach is rocky but beautiful so it's not great for swims but cozy nevertheless. I don't care much for swimming so it was perfect for me. Overall great experience especially for the price. It's a small hotel (7 rooms) so it's doesn't feel crowded which is great if you want to just chill after exploring the island!

I booked the room at the last minute and I didn't have many expectations. But it turned out to be a gem that we really liked and doubled our stay at the place. The service - we were privileged to be Ploy's guests, who actually started managing the place only a month before, but treated it and the guests as if they were hers for ages. The garden - huge trees and tropical plants in abundance on the shores of the sea and plenty of places to sit and shade. The absence of a beach is actually an advantage, there is no people traffic, and apart from occasional guests to the restaurant, the place is very quiet and calm. The room- is old but decorated simply and tastefully. The mattress was excellent (in the room that faces the garden (partial seaview) there is no bed, but only on a raised platform on which the mattress rests). The room has everything you need and everything is in pretty good condition. We asked for reading lamps and we got them. The water pressure is as bad as anywhere else on the islands in this budget. The place is very natural so you can expect insects, gekos and more inside the room. The location is very quiet and secluded, but a few minutes away by scooter there are beaches, restaurants and everything. A 'big c' supermarket is within 5 min walking distance. The restaurant- tasty food, not the usual 'copy-paste' menu that you see in every other restaurant on the island. More limited chioces, but everything we tasted was very good. Prices are average (i.e. cheap). Currently the restaurant is running only 10:00-20:00 which is a little annoying if you want an earlier breakfast or a 'late' dinner, but totally understandable considering the size of the 'resort':) Bottom line, we really liked the stay, certainly considering the friendly price. Highly recommend.

We visited the restaurant several times during our stay in Koh Chang. Beautiful location for sunset, delicious food and aside from one very unfriendly waitress (her English was the best out of the staff we met) all the staff (especially kitchen staff) are super nice and friendly.

I had an extremely satisfying experience at the Saffron Resort. Its location is superb—quiet and perfectly situated away from the hustle and bustle. The staff members were remarkably attentive, proficient in English, and exceedingly friendly. From the moment I arrived, I felt instantly comfortable. The food was outstanding, and enjoying dinner on the terrace while witnessing the breathtaking sunset was truly priceless. I highly recommend this resort to anyone seeking a serene atmosphere and an eye for exquisite details.
